CloseMihoko Manabe is Associate Managing Director of Moody’s Japan Kabushiki Kaisha. Based in Tokyo, Mihoko heads a team of Corporate Finance, Infrastructure Finance and Sub-sovereign analysts. She oversees ratings and research on over 100 Japanese issuers across a wide range of industrial, utility and public sectors and serves as rating committee chair. Mihoko is also a member of Moody’s Japan’s Board of Directors and Oversight Committee.
Prior to her appointment to her current position in 2017, Mihoko worked at Moody’s New York headquarters, where she was responsible for the ratings of North American utilities and energy companies and authored rating methodologies and global sector research.
Mihoko holds a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Wellesley College. A Chartered Financial Analyst, she is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Japan.
Ryohei Nishio is a Vice President - Senior Analyst with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Tokyo, he covers a portfolio of Japanese corporates in various sectors, including telecom, beverage, and manufacturing.
Before joining Moody’s, Ryohei worked for J.P. Morgan in Tokyo as a Credit Officer, covering a wide range of large Japanese corporate clients. Prior to that, he started his career at Rating and Investment Information, Inc. as a Rating Analyst.
Ryohei holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Management from Hitotsubashi University. He is a CFA charterholder, and a member of the CFA Society Japan.
Scott Tuhy is a Senior Vice President in the Corporate Finance Group at Moody’s Investors Service. Scott covers the Medical Device industry across both the investment grade and high-yield spectrum.
Scott joined Moody’s in 2006 as part of the retail and apparel team covering a wide range of apparel wholesalers, department stores and other specialty retailers. Scott joined the healthcare team in early 2017 to support the rapid growth in the rated healthcare universe.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Scott held a number of senior credit roles in New York and Melbourne, Australia with National Australia Bank Ltd. Scott holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
Frederic Duranson is a lead analyst in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group, based in London.
Frederic joined Moody’s in 2010 and currently covers a portfolio of leveraged credits, with particular focus on the software and IT services sector in Western Europe. Previously, he has covered a variety of investment grade and speculative grade credits, spanning several sectors.
Frederic graduated from Sciences Po Strasbourg in France and holds an MSc in Corporate Strategy and Finance. His previous experience includes a number of internships in the U.S. and South Africa.
Frederic is fluent in French and English and is proficient in Spanish.
