Wendy Cheong is Managing Director and Regional Head of Asia Pacific (APAC) for Moody’s Ratings, as well as CEO of Moody’s Ratings, Singapore. In this role, she leads on the development and execution of regional strategies and geographic initiatives across APAC, including ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory changes and expanding the company’s presence and business activities.

Wendy also serves as Executive Board Member for all Moody’s Ratings entities in APAC as well as Non-Executive Director for its domestic rating agency affiliates in China, India, Korea, Malaysia and Vietnam. Wendy also represents the region as a member of Moody’s Corporation’s Global Operating Committee.

Throughout her 16-year tenure at Moody’s, Wendy has held various global and regional roles in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, including as Chief of Staff to Moody’s global President/ CEO and Head of Strategy for APAC.

Prior to joining Moody’s, she held senior positions in strategy, sales and marketing at Prudential PLC and SingTel.

Wendy is committed to philanthropy and gender equality. She had served on the Board of the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network from 2020 to 2023 and was global executive sponsor of Moody’s Women’s Business Resource Group, championing initiatives that empower women in the workplace.

Frank Medrisch, CFA, currently serves as a VP - Senior Analyst within Moody’s Ratings Sustainable Finance Group, based in London. His expertise lies in analyzing the credit implications of the energy transition across various sectors, with a particular focus on corporate net zero strategies, climate governance, carbon transition public policies, and emerging low carbon technologies. Frank's contributions have been instrumental in the creation of Moody’s Carbon Transition Indicators (CTI).Furthermore, he co-authored Moody’s framework for Net Zero Assessments(NZAs) in 2023, marking a significant milestone in his career. From 2024 onwards, Frank has been a lead analyst assessing corporate transition plans under the NZA framework. His role also extends to participating, presenting, and moderating at Moody’s events and webinars. He is also frequently involved in external outreach meetings and working groups. 

Prior to his tenure at Moody’s, which began in 2015, Frank gained valuable experience in corporate finance credit ratings and equity/fixed income research in Latin America. Frank is a CFA charter holder and has also earned the CFA Certificate in Climate and Investing, demonstrating his commitment to understanding the intersection of finance and climate change. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in Finance and a BA in Economics from UTDT, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Mariko Semetko is an Associate Managing Director for the Corporate Finance Group (CFG) for Moody’s Ratings. Based in Tokyo, she leads a team of analysts covering Japanese nonfinancial corporates and public infrastructure finance, and oversees the public sectors.

Prior to becoming a manager, Mariko was a lead analyst for a variety of corporates and utilities in Japan and the US. She has extensive experience both in the investment-grade and high-yield spaces. Mariko transferred to the Tokyo office in 2013 after working in the New York office since joining the company in 2006.

Boris Kan is a Vice President–Senior Credit Officer with the Project & Infrastructure Finance Group. Based in Hong Kong, Boris covers a portfolio of Chinese utilities and infrastructure companies across a range of sectors.

Before joining Moody’s, Boris was the Head of Regional Utilities & Power Equipment (Asia-ex-Japan) with J.P. Morgan’s Equity Research team, where he spent more than 12 years covering a wide range of power and gas utilities companies in Greater China.

Boris has also worked as a Senior Associate for more than five years — first at PricewaterhouseCoppers and then at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance — providing assurance and M&A advisory services to corporate clients in Greater China.

Boris holds an MBA majoring in Finance from Simon Fraser University and is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Kai Hu is a Senior Vice President in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group, based in Shanghai. He covers a portfolio of large Chinese state-owned enterprises.

Before joining Moody’s, Kai worked in credit risk management, trade finance and project finance at various financial institutions, including Citigroup and China Merchants Bank in New York and Bank of Communications, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank in Shanghai.

Kai holds an MBA from Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade. He is also a CFA, FRM and a member of Chinese CPA association.

Mike Zhu is a Vice President - Senior Analyst in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. 

Based in Beijing, Mike supports the ratings and research on Chinese central and local state-owned enterprises across various industries.

Before joining Moody’s, Mike worked in the US and China and held analytical and portfolio management roles with banks. He covered corporates in a wide range of sectors, including oil and gas, healthcare, and manufacturing in the US, and his most recent role was with the credit department of Societe Generale Bank, where he focused on Chinese conglomerates.

Mike holds a BA from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.

Based out of Singapore, Rahul Sheth is an Executive Director in Standard Chartered’s Capital Markets Team. In his role, he globally heads the Sustainable Bonds product and has been responsible for leading pioneering and award-winning green, social and sustainability bond transactions for clients across the bank’s footprint.

With 14 years of banking experience spanning Debt Capital Markets and broader financial markets, he has held senior roles across origination and structuring and client advisory. In his current role, he advises governments, supra national entities, corporates and FIs on setting up Sustainable finance frameworks to enable access to ESG focused investors, across a wide range of capital markets products including green, social, sustainability, sustainability Linked and Transition bonds.

He maintains an active dialogue with ESG focused funds, regulators and organizations such as the Climate Bonds Initiative, ICMA, ASIFMA, HKFA and others. He is a regular speaker and author on sustainable finance forums.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered in 2010, Rahul worked with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Fixed Income Structured Solutions team in Australia, and prior to that, with Citibank.

Rahul holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Business Sustainability Management from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mr. Slim is a Portfolio Manager within the Asian Fixed Income team, responsible for managing funds invested in global and Asian credit, rates and FX markets and a Board member of PineBridge Investments Singapore Limited.

Prior to joining PineBridge in 2013, Mr. Slim was a Senior Portfolio Manager within Asian Fixed Income at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) in Singapore. He started there as a Credit Analyst for Global Active Fixed Income in Canada, before being promoted to Senior Portfolio Manager to manage a team investing in the North American credit markets. In his most recent Singapore-based SSGA role, Mr. Slim led the development of the Asian credit investment process in Asia, helped build up their credit coverage and managed local and hard currency Asian Fixed Income portfolios. He also participated in a number of government sponsored policy initiatives to develop and enhance the Asian bond markets. Prior to SSGA, Mr. Slim was a research analyst at BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking.

Mr. Slim holds a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College’s Carroll Graduate School of Management. He also attended the Investment Decisions and Behavioral Finance Executive Education program at the Harvard Kennedy School. Mr. Slim is a CFA Charterholder.

Juliette Macresy is Senior Director, Head of Asia sales at  Moody’s ESG Solutions. She worked at VE since 1997 based in Hong Kong. As the Head of Greater China and South East Asian markets, she covered the region for both investors and issuers on sustainable finance transactions and its derivatives. In September 2020 she became a member of the Executive Committee of VE and took the global responsibility of the issuer team expanding MESG footprint in the sustainable finance markets in key regions North America, LATAM, EMEA and APAC.

In 2021, Juliette has won the award for ‘Excellence in Sustainability’ at Women in Finance Asia Awards. The ceremony’s judging panel recognized Juliette as a driving force for the APAC region’s sustainability agenda, commending her work in bringing greater transparency to green, social and sustainability bond markets and advancing diversity in the financial services sector.

Holding a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Dauphine University (France), Juliette has been working in financial markets in London and Paris for almost twenty years. She started her career in major French banks as a credit analyst before joining Moody’s Investors Services in London as a credit analyst. Then, she moved to fixed income positions within Natixis in Paris and Hong Kong.

Juliette is a CFA charter holder since 2003.

Dimitrios is leading Moody’s Generative AI initiatives across regions as head of Digital & Advanced Analytics. He is also the Head of the Industry Practice Group in Moody’s Analytics, leading the Asia & Middle East Subject Matter Expert teams helping institutions in the broad areas of Enterprise-wide Risk Management, Risk Analytics, Stress Testing and ESG & Climate risk. Over the last few years, his teams have been focusing increasingly more on guiding banks and financial institutions in their sustainability journey. Particular areas of focus include the quantification of climate risk impact on credit risk, regulatory climate stress testing exercises, and incorporation of ESG & Climate Risk into an institution’s risk management framework.

During his time in Moody’s and prior to his move to Asia, Dimitrios led the efforts on designing and successfully implementing IFRS 9 modelling and software solutions for more than 50 banks in Europe and Middle East. Prior to joining Moody’s in January 2016, Dimitrios worked as Senior Technical Specialist at the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) in London. During that time, he led the internal stress testing model development across the majority of risk types, with a particular focus on wholesale credit risk globally, retail credit risk in the UK and econometric models for key ALM risk metrics. Before joining the PRA, he was part of UBS Group-wide Stress Testing Team where he developed stress testing models for the held to maturity assets of the investment banking arm. Prior to his time at UBS he held various modelling positions at the former Financial Services Authority (FSA), Lloyd’s Banking Group and HBOS.

Dimitrios holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh Business School and an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is a certified Professional Risk Manager (PRM) since 2006 and tutored at University of Edinburgh where he has conducted extensive research on credit risk modelling and the interaction between credit risk and the real economy.

Frankie Phua is the Managing Director and Head of Group Risk Management at UOB. In this role, he oversees all risk management matters for UOB Group including credit risk, market risk, balance sheet risk, operational risk, risk strategy, fraud risk, technology risk, product control and risk analytics. Prior to joining UOB Risk Management, Frankie spent more than 10 years in the frontline in Corporate/Commercial banking.

Frankie, a seasoned risk practitioner, is an active contributor to the risk management community. For the past 10 years, he has been the Chairman and a Director of the Board of the Singapore Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA), an organization associated with RMA USA. He is appointed by Risk Management Institute (RMI), National University of Singapore (NUS) as a lecturer for the Specialist Diploma course in Credit Risk Management – Corporate Banking. He is also regularly engaged by NUS RMI to teach customized risk management courses.

Frankie was conferred the IBF Distinguished Fellow Award in Risk Management. The "IBF Distinguished Fellow" is a prestigious title conferred upon industry leaders who are the epitome of professional stature, integrity, and achievement. Shaheed is currently Vice President, Group Portfolio Management at Maybank based in Singapore. His responsibilities include the implementation of balance sheet optimisation initiatives across the Group to support growth of a sustainable portfolio. Key part of his role includes ensuring that ESG risk are embedded across portfolio management activities for example scenario analysis, portfolio allocation and analytics, and risk appetite.

Prior to his role at Maybank, he spent nine years at Standard Chartered Bank again based in Singapore. Here he was responsible for the definition, implementation and maintenance of the Group’s Risk Appetite Statement, ensuring that appetite for all risks and emerging risk types were articulated, quantified and managed appropriately. He was also previously responsible for Group retail banking portfolio analytics at Standard Chartered.
