| Matthias Hellstern, Managing Director, has been with Moody’s Deutschland GmbH in Frankfurt since October 2004. Matthias is Team Leader in the European Corporate Finance Group heading the Frankfurt-based analytical team focusing on manufacturing industries. The principal industries covered by his team include Auto, Capital Goods, Paper and Packaging, and Building Materials. He is also managing teams in London and Stockholm that are covering the Real Estate, Shipping and Airlines sectors. Prior to his appointment as Team Leader, Matthias was Moody’s lead analyst for European building materials companies and steel producers. Previously he spent around 10 years in the European banking industry as a corporate credit analyst with Commerzbank and ING in Germany and the UK. Matthias Hellstern has graduated from the University of Augsburg in Germany with a degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann). |
Steve Wood is the Managing Director for the Americas Oil & Gas Team at Moody’s Investors Service in New York. In this capacity, Steve is responsible for over 280 companies throughout the Americas across all sectors of the oil and gas industry. He also coordinates Moody’s oil and gas industry coverage globally. Prior to accepting this role in 2008, Steve was a lead analyst responsible for a portfolio of US and Canadian oil and gas companies that included exploration and production (E&P), oilfield services, contract drilling and midstream natural gas.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2004, Steve spent ten years in corporate banking with JPMorgan. During this time, he had responsibility for the debt financing of energy client relationships. Steve primarily covered independent E&P companies, midstream natural gas companies, integrated natural gas pipelines and energy merchants. Prior to business school, Steve was a reservoir engineer with Shell Oil. Steve holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and a MBA in finance and strategy from the University of Chicago.
Carolina Chimenti is an Assistant Vice President in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group based in Brazil. She covers a diversified portfolio including steel, petrochemicals, transportation and homebuilding companies domiciled in Brazil. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2011, Carolina worked as a credit analyst at HSBC and at the American Chamber of Commerce. Carolina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from ESPM and a Master’s in Finance from Insper.
Emile El Nems is a Vice President - Senior Credit Officer on the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Team covering a portfolio of investment grade and high yield issuers in a number of verticals, including social media, diversified telecommunication service providers, media, entertainment and interactive media services.
Prior to his work on the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Team, Emile covered issuers on the Homebuilding, Building Materials and Packaging Team. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2019 as a VP-Lead Analyst, Emile was a portfolio manager at a large US hedge fund for five years and a managing director responsible for a Technology, Media and Telecommunications portfolio at a European hedge fund for seven years.
Before his asset management experience, Emile was a principal in the Investment Banking Group at Thomas Weisel Partners and a team leader in the Investment Banking Group at Banc of America Securities covering global wireline and wireless telecommunications, cable, and media companies. Emile received his MBA in finance from Columbia University and BS in Chemical Engineering from Stevens.
Marcella Pavesi is an Assistant Vice President - Analyst in the Corporate Finance Group team based in Frankfurt.
Marcella joined Moody’s in September 2017. She covers the European Building Material and Building Products portfolio, as well as European construction companies. Previously, Marcella covered Aerospace and Defense and Airlines portfolios, as well as a portfolio of Manufacturing companies.
Prior to joining Moody´s, Marcella worked in Audit in Deloitte in Luxemburg and in Transaction Services (Financial Due Diligence) in PwC in Frankfurt.
Marcella completed cum laude her Master Degree at Bocconi University in Finance and Accounting in April 2017. At the same time, she pursued the Master Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting at Mannheim University.
