Jim Hempstead is a Managing Director in Moody’s Global Project & Infrastructure Finance Group, where he heads both the North American Regulated Utility & Power Team and the North American Public Infrastructure Team.

Jim acts as a rating chair across all segments of Moody’s Global Infrastructure & Project Finance franchise, and is a member of both the firm’s Infrastructure Finance Franchise Committee and Global Infrastructure Focus Editorial Board.

 Jim also manages the Moody’s Cyber Risk Team, which looks to incorporate cyber security risk into global credit analyses.

Jim helped manage the firm’s global Environmental, Social and Governance efforts between 2017 – 2020.

Prior to joining Moody’s in 2002, Jim was an investment banker with Merrill Lynch &Co., working in the Global Energy & Power Group, providing financial and advisory services to electric, natural gas distribution, interstate pipeline, energy merchant, water and energy technology companies. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Jim worked with Salomon Smith Barney Corporate Finance, working in their Global Energy &Power Group.

Jim graduated with a B.S.B.A. from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. From 2011 - 2013, Jim served as the Director of Emergency Management for his hometown in New Jersey, and is a registered EMT for his local, volunteer first aid squad. Jim is a member of the Wall Street Utility Group and served as a Trustee with the Society of Utility and Regulatory Financial Analysts (SURFA) between 2012 -2020. He served on the Advisory Council for the Electric Power Research Institute(EPRI) from 2014-2019.

Megan Fox is an Associate Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Moody’s Ratings. She oversees the North American team responsible for the ratings and research of a portfolio spanning US-based global investment and universal banks, securities firms, asset managers and Canadian banks.

Before leading the team, Megan spent nearly 15 years as a Moody’s Ratings analyst covering a broad range of global investment, universal, US regional and community banks. 

Prior to joining Moody’s Ratings, Megan held positions at Freddie Mac, primarily within the Finance department. She holds an honors degree in economics and political science from the University of Delaware.

Gerald Granovsky currently serves several roles in North America’s Corporate Finance Group.   He is the primary liaison between CFG and MIS Technology, under the implementation of the new partnerships between the rating groups and the technology teams.  Previously, he has been the lead CFG representative on the Analytic Harmonization and Sharing (AHS) business transformation project, along with other IT initiatives that benefit CFG.  In addition, Gerald has been working with the MIS Cyber Risk team to help build Moody's brand recognition around cyber risks through research, publishing and outreach.  Mr. Granovsky also chairs speculative grade rating committees across New York CFG teams. 

Previously, Mr. Granovsky covered a broad portfolio of technology and IT services companies, including high profile investment grade and speculative grade hardware companies, electrical manufacturing services providers and IT distributors. 

Prior to his work on the Technology team, Mr. Granovsky covered the North American telecommunications service and infrastructure providers, and provided back up coverage for Latin American telecom analysts.  Mr. Granovsky was regularly involved in cross-industry rating discussions and analysis, including broadcast, cable, retail, services and technology issuers.  Mr. Granovsky is a featured speaker at numerous investor and regulatory conferences focusing on technology and telecommunications issues.  Mr. Granovsky is a frequent participant in print and broadcast interviews.

The companies under his direct purview included ADP, Apple, Arrow Electronics, Avnet, Lexmark, NCR, Pitney Bowes and Xerox.  Previously, he covered AT&T, American Tower, along with major incumbent and rural telecom providers, wireless operators, tower companies, data centers, fiber carriers and CLECs. 

As part of his responsibilities, Mr. Granovsky was instrumental in developing and updating Moody’s rating methodologies for the Global Distribution and Supply  Chain Services, Communications  Infrastructure and the Telecommunications industries.

Mr. Granovsky joined Moody’s in 2005 as a Vice President, after spending most of his career in the financial services industry covering media and telecommunications companies since 1992.  Mr. Granovsky has been promoted to Vice President – Senior Credit Officer and Senior Vice President during his tenure at Moody’s.

In addition to portfolio management responsibilities, Mr. Granovsky was the lead CFG representative on Moody’s Business Continuity program, and helped manage the disaster recovery initiatives during Super Storm Sandy in 2012.  Mr. Granovsky was the CFG leader on the Loan Covenant Tracker project, which was a two-year endeavor to incorporate loan covenant data into the company’s financial metrics.  He has also been involved in several high profile roles in Moody’s business transformation initiative over the past 5 years.

Mr. Granovsky takes a serious role in mentoring junior analysts and teaches several training courses on capital structures, cash flows and default red flags.  He has participated in all junior analyst mentoring and ambassador programs that Moody’s CFG has run over the last decade.  He is also an active participant in Moody’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

Prior to Moody’s, Mr. Granovsky spent over a decade at The Bank of New York’s media & telecommunications group, where he had extensive experience in originating and structuring transactions.  Mr. Granovsky also spent over two years in The Bank of New York’s restructuring division overseeing distressed loans.  Mr. Granovsky had a brief tenure living the entrepreneurial dream as part of an executive team of a start-up cable network.

Mr. Granovsky received his BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY and MBA from Columbia University in New York, NY.

Steven Libretti is an Analyst in Moody’s Cyber Risk Group, where he is responsible for developing cyber databases and analyzing data that facilitates the creation of cyber-risk analytics and research. In his role, Steven works with Moody’s analysts globally to increase awareness about the rising risk of cyber-attacks and the subsequent impact on credit. He also supports analysts in the publication of timely and impactful research on cyber risk and its relationship to an issuer’s credit profile.

Steven joined Moody’s as an Associate Analyst in Public Finance in 2014. During his tenure at Moody’s, Steven has developed a high level of technical expertise in managing large and complex datasets. He often consults with senior management to create frameworks for more efficient processes and data tools. As a project manager for Moody’s Public Finance Group’s COVID-19 task force, Steven helped analyze the potential impact of the pandemic on municipal debt during the onset of the pandemic by managing a database of >65,000 public finance ratings and tracking rating movements.

Steven holds a B.S. from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Orlie Prince is an Associate Managing Director for the Eastern Local Governments Ratings Team. She manages a team of analysts covering credits in Alabama, Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Orlie is a rating committee chairperson, she leads the Cyber Security Risk Task Force for the Public Finance Group, and serves as the lead on the State Aid Intercept Programs. 

Prior to rejoining Moody’s, Orlie conducted extensive community service. During her initial tenure with Moody’s, Orlie was a Senior Vice President and Manager of the Southeast Regional Ratings Team. Orlie holds an MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a BA in Political Science and Communications from SUNY Albany.

As a member of the Cyber Risk team she is responsible for researching and publishing credit relevant cybersecurity reports in collaboration with the broader Moody’s analytical community. Although her role supports all industry groups Moody’s covers, Ms. Ritter is particularly interested in industrial control systems’ cybersecurity and has been a regular speaker on this topic at a number of ICS cyber conferences. Prior to joining the Cyber Risk Group, Ms. Ritter was a lead credit analyst in the Public Power and Infrastructure team where she covered a portfolio of US-based regulated electric and gas utilities as well as natural gas pipeline companies. Ms. Ritter completed her credit training at GE Energy Financial Services where she was an associate in the origination team covering the global power, midstream, and oil and gas space. Ms. Ritter holds a Bachelors in Economics from Union College and a Masters in Finance and Energy Policy from Columbia University.

Leroy Terrelonge is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer in the Moody's Ratings Cyber Credit Risk Group, where he is responsible for creating and executing the group's research and outreach agenda. He works collaboratively with stakeholders across Moody’s to build and assess cyber datasets and publish timely and relevant research on cyber risk and its impact on financial performance. Leroy has more than 20 years of risk experience working in government, international education, tech startups and corporates. Prior to joining Moody’s, Leroy led a team of analysts at Flashpoint, a threat intelligence company that researches cybercriminal communities, and previously worked as  an analyst at the National Security Agency. e has been cited in both domestic and international media on cyber risk issues and has presented at cybersecurity conferences around the world. Leroy graduated from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy with a Masters in International Business and holds an A.B. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations cum laude from Harvard University. He also served as a Princeton-in-Asia fellow in Almaty, Kazakhstan and serves on the board of this organization. He is an avid touch rugby referee.
