Jim Hempstead Managing Director, Global Project & Infrastructure Finance Moody's Ratings

Jim Hempstead is a Managing Director in Moody’s Global Project & Infrastructure Finance Group, where he heads both the North American Regulated Utility & Power Team and the North American Public Infrastructure Team.

Jim acts as a rating chair across all segments of Moody’s Global Infrastructure & Project Finance franchise, and is a member of both the firm’s Infrastructure Finance Franchise Committee and Global Infrastructure Focus Editorial Board.

 Jim also manages the Moody’s Cyber Risk Team, which looks to incorporate cyber security risk into global credit analyses.

Jim helped manage the firm’s global Environmental, Social and Governance efforts between 2017 – 2020.

Prior to joining Moody’s in 2002, Jim was an investment banker with Merrill Lynch &Co., working in the Global Energy & Power Group, providing financial and advisory services to electric, natural gas distribution, interstate pipeline, energy merchant, water and energy technology companies. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Jim worked with Salomon Smith Barney Corporate Finance, working in their Global Energy &Power Group.

Jim graduated with a B.S.B.A. from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. From 2011 - 2013, Jim served as the Director of Emergency Management for his hometown in New Jersey, and is a registered EMT for his local, volunteer first aid squad. Jim is a member of the Wall Street Utility Group and served as a Trustee with the Society of Utility and Regulatory Financial Analysts (SURFA) between 2012 -2020. He served on the Advisory Council for the Electric Power Research Institute(EPRI) from 2014-2019.

Luigi Bucci Assistant Vice President -Analyst, Corporate Finance Moody’s Ratings

Luigi Bucci is a AVP-Analyst in the EMEA Corporate Finance Group, based in London.

Luigi joined Moody’s in 2014 and is part of the European Telecoms team. Prior to his current role, Luigi was the lead analyst for a number of software names in the leverage finance space.

Luigi holds a Management degree from the University of Bristol. Prior to joining Moody’s, Luigi covered a number of roles within the automotive sector.

Irina Metzler Analyst, Financial Institutions Moody's Ratings

Irina is an Analyst in the EMEA Insurance Team, with lead responsibilities for a portfolio of insurance companies in several European countries. Irina joined Moody’s London office in 2018 and transitioned to Frankfurt in 2020.

Prior to her current role, Irina worked as an Associate Analyst providing analytical support for a range of insurance companies across the EMEA region. Irina also supported ratings for UK asset managers.

Irina graduated from the Vienna University of Economics with M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting and holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the same university.

Leroy Terrelonge Vice President - Senior Analyst, Cyber Credit Risk Moody's Ratings

Leroy Terrelonge is a Vice President – Senior Analyst in the Moody's Ratings Cyber Risk Group, where he is responsible for creating and executing a cyber-risk analytics and research agenda. He works collaboratively with stakeholders across Moody’s to build cyber datasets and publish timely and relevant research on cyber risk and its impact on financial performance.

Leroy has more than 20 years of risk experience working in government, international education, tech startups and corporates. Prior to joining Moody’s, Leroy led a team of analysts at Flashpoint, a threat intelligence company that researches cyber criminal communities, and previously worked as an analyst at the National Security Agency. 

He has been cited in both domestic and international media on cyber risk issues and has presented at cybersecurity conferences around the world. Leroy graduated from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy with a Masters in International Business and holds an A.B. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations cum laude from Harvard University. He also served as a Princeton-in-Asia fellow in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Derek Vadala SVP, Head of Risk BitSight

Derek Vadala is SVP, Head of Risk at BitSight where he leads a team that is focused on creating an automated Cyber Risk Quantification solution that enables CISOs to better communicate cyber risk to Boards of Directors and senior business executives. Before joining BitSight, Mr. Vadala was the CEO and founder of VisibleRisk, a joint venture between Moody’s Corporation and Team8, which was acquired by BitSight in 2021. Prior to that, Mr. Vadala was the Global Head of Cyber Risk for Moody’s Investors Service, responsible for developing capabilities for evaluating cyber risk and incorporating those capabilities into credit analysis. Mr. Vadala also previously served as the Chief Information Security Officer for Moody’s Corporation from 2013-2018, where he was responsible for global information risk and security across Moody’s businesses worldwide.

Srikanth Vadlamani Vice President – Group Credit Officer, APAC Banking, Financial Institutions Group Moody's Ratings

Srikanth Vadlamani is a Vice President – Group Credit Officer, APAC Banking for the Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, he is primarily responsible for the credit ratings of banks and finance companies in India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

Prior to joining Moody’s, he was a Director in Daiwa Securities’ research department in Singapore, where he was responsible for the coverage of banks in the ASEAN region. He has also worked for other investment banks, including J.P. Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Nomura, where he covered banks and other financial institutions in India, Southeast Asia and emerging Europe.

Srikanth holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, majoring in Finance and Economics.
