Laurie Mayers is an Associate Managing Director in Moody’s European Banking team. Laurie has responsibility for the analytical teams covering bank and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) in the UK and Ireland as well as for the global investment banks located in EMEA and for NBFIs in Western Europe. Leveraging her risk and regulatory background, she has provided leadership within the Financial Institutions business unit on the cross jurisdictional regulatory matters such as the implementation of Basel III, the BRRD and TLAC/MREL requirements, UK ring fencing and Brexit.
Prior to Moody’s, Laurie’s most recent role was Manager of the Capital Management Team at the UK Financial Services Authority (now the Prudential Regulation Authority), where she had responsibility for Pillar 2 capital assessments and firm-wide stress testing for the largest UK banks and building societies.
Laurie’s previous roles include Partner, Risk and Regulatory Advisory, Ernst & Young, Group Head of Basel 2 and a member of the Group Risk Executive Team at RBS, Global Head of Counterparty Credit Risk at RBS and previously, Principal and EMEA Head of Credit for Morgan Stanley International. Laurie began her career at as a staff economist at the New York Mercantile Exchange , and subsequently worked as a lending officer in the Commodity Finance Division at Chase Manhattan Bank following completion of their credit analyst training programme.
Laurie holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs (with a specialisation in International Economics) from Columbia University SIPA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Economy from Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts.
Edoardo Calandro is a member of Moody’s EMEA Banking Team based in London, with lead responsibilities for a portfolio of banks headquartered in the UK.
Since joining Moody’s in 2008, Edoardo worked on banks’ ratings and research; prior to his current focus on UK banks, he held lead responsibilities for Italian and Turkish bank ratings.
Edoardo holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s degree in finance and accounting from Bocconi University in Milan.
Alessandro Roccati joined Moody’s in May 2012 as a Senior Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group, based in London. His portfolio includes large European banks. Prior to joining Moody’s, Alessandro spent fifteen years in equity research as a senior analyst covering European banks at global investment banks: Macquarie, Man Group, Credit Lyonnais and Nikko Securities. He started his career as a credit analyst covering European banks at UniCredito. Alessandro graduated in economics from Bocconi University in Milan.

Phil holds the position of Director in the Prudential Policy Directorate (PPD). The main responsibilities are:
- Banking Capital Policy Division and Prudential Framework Divisions set policy so that Banks and Building Societies have the sufficient capital and liquidity to absorb losses given the risks on their balance sheet. This includes the approach to banking issues in Basel, implementation of Basel rules in the UK, the PRA’s Strong and Simple framework for small non-systemic banks and ensuring the overall framework for banks’ loss absorbency is appropriately calibrated.
- Overall strategy, vision and approach for policymaking. This includes improving the agility/flexibility across the Directorate as the UK takes on its new policymaking function now that the UK has left the EU. Thus includes the Future Regulatory Framework, work on competition and CBA issues and PPD’s international strategy and coordination and equivalence coordination.
From September 2016 Phil was in charge of the unit created to co-ordinate the Bank's work on EU withdrawal. The objective was to provide Governors with the analysis they needed to assist Her Majesty’s Government as it prepared the UK's exit from the EU, including work analysing contingency issues in the financial sector, macroeconomic impacts and co-ordinating the information flow across the Bank and its Policy committees.
Prior to moving to PPD, Phil was Director for the International Directorate at the Bank of England between Aug 2014 and September 2016. This Directorate is responsible for analysing developments in, and risks from, the global economy and financial system in support of all the Bank’s policy objectives, and to ensure that the Bank’s engagement in international forums advances its goals. Phil was also on secondment at the European Commission from August 2012, as Advisor to the Director of the Financial Stability Directorate. Phil joined the Bank in 1996 and has held a variety of positions over the course of his career, including various managerial and analytical roles in monetary policy, financial stability, and was Private Secretary to Lord King and Sir Charles Bean.

Elise Savoye is Vice President – Senior Analyst with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Elise started her career at Moody’s in the Structured Finance Group, where she covered various RMBS transactions and then Covered Bond issuers across Europe. For 4 years, she was then a lead analyst in the Sub-Sovereign Group responsible for a portfolio focusing on social housing providers and local governments in France and in Italy. In 2021, she joined the Corporate Finance Group focusing predominantly on issuers within the European Real Estate and lodging sectors. Elise initially joined Moody’s in the Frankfurt office late 2006 and she is now based in Paris.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Elise has been a credit analyst at BNP Paribas (Milan) and a junior consultant in a consulting firm (Milan). Elise holds a Master Degree in finance from the Dauphine University in Paris and a Post-Master degree in Finance and Tax system from the Sorbonne University in Paris. Elise is also CFA charter holder.
Kevin is a senior director and Head of CRE Economic Analysis at Moody’s, responsible for research, thought leadership and strategic initiatives for the Moody's CRE group, with a focus on capital markets and climate risks. He’s the industry member chair of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council ESG and Sustainability Initiative. He was formerly director of CRE and CMBS research in the Moody’s Investors Service. Prior to joining Moody’s, Kevin held CRE research roles at ING Clarion and Jones Lang LaSalle. He also practiced as a structural engineer, designing large scale commercial buildings in California. Kevin holds an MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS from the University of Texas at Austin.
