We are excited to invite you to our next Moody’s Analytics Banking Advisory Board meeting. Our Banking Advisory Board remains focused on discussing the most critical challenges and opportunities disrupting the banking industry, both near- and long-term. Core to our mission is providing every member an opportunity to hear how your peers are addressing these challenges and uncovering new opportunities, as well as the industry perspective provided by Moody’s and other third-party experts. The Board Meeting will take place at the Andaz San Diego in San Diego, CA on Monday, November 6 - Tuesday, November 7, 2023..

Emil Lopez is a Managing Director at Moody's, where he spearheads strategic initiatives for market growth and operational scalability. In the last half-decade, he has been a key player in formulating the growth strategy for Moody's lending, risk, and finance workflow solutions catering to Banks. This includes the introduction of innovative products and the establishment of strategic partnerships. Previously, Mr. Lopez spent eight years advising banks on impairment accounting (IFRS 9/CECL) and credit risk modeling. This followed his tenure overseeing operations for Moody's Credit Research Database, one of the world's premier repositories for private firm credit risk data. He has extensive experience in market development, including partnerships, M&A due diligence, competitive intelligence, and product launches. Mr. Lopez holds an MBA from New York University and a BS in finance and business administration from the University of Vermont.
Tim Daly is Managing Director & Head of the Banking Americas segment at Moody's Analytics. Tim is responsible for Moody’s Analytics suite of solutions including, Lending, Risk & Finance, KYC, CRE, Digital Insights, Insurance, Predictive Analytics and Economics. Tim partners closely with the largest financial institutions in the Americas, providing financial intelligence, software, and analytical tools to help business leaders make better, faster decisions. Tim holds a B.A. in Marketing from Fordham University in New York City. Recent research includes co-authoring papers with Dr, Amnon Levy around credit portfolio models that integrate with epidemiological data to facilitate navigating through COVID-19. Tim has been with Moody’s Analytics for 18 years. Prior to his current role, Tim managed the Strategic Relationship team as well as the Economics and Business Analytics sales team at Moody’s Analytics, led by Chief Economist, Mark Zandi.
Marisa DiNatale is a Senior Director and Head of Global Forecasting at Moody’s. Marisa oversees all forecasting and publication operations in the Economics group within Predictive Analytics at Moody’s. Her areas of specialization and research are U.S. labor markets, household balance sheets and credit, and international economics. She is a cohost of the Moody’s weekly podcast “Inside Economics”. Marisa started her career as a labor economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington, DC. She holds a master’s degree in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Boston University.
Kevin is a senior director and Head of CRE Economic Analysis at Moody’s, responsible for research, thought leadership and strategic initiatives for the Moody's CRE group, with a focus on capital markets and climate risks. He’s the industry member chair of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council ESG and Sustainability Initiative. He was formerly director of CRE and CMBS research in the Moody’s Investors Service. Prior to joining Moody’s, Kevin held CRE research roles at ING Clarion and Jones Lang LaSalle. He also practiced as a structural engineer, designing large scale commercial buildings in California. Kevin holds an MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS from the University of Texas at Austin.
Nick is Moody’s Analytics Chief Product Officer – responsible for defining and managing the company’s product and portfolio strategy. His remit includes Marketing, Innovation, Customer Experience and Commercial Strategy, ensuring that we have a modern and innovative approach to the way we work, and place the customer at the center of everything we do.
Nick joined MA as a former customer from ANZ Bank where he was the Group General Manager of Risk. His work history spans banking and finance, digital and internet technology, insurance and superannuation in senior managerial roles with experiences in Australia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
Nick graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Economics & Commerce (Banking/Finance) and has also completed post graduate work at New York University (NYU Stern) in Strategy, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT Sloan) in Digital Transformation, and University of Technology Sydney in Architecture. Nick is well placed to help Moody’s in defining and delivering products that result in better, faster solutions for our customers in the most efficient and cost-effective way.
Since 2004, Brian has managed commercial loan origination platforms for a $2T bank in the Small Business, Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, and Commercial Wealth customer segments. Joining Moody’s in 2021, Brian’s focus has been advising commercial lending clients how to integrate business processes, controls and compliance into CreditLens.
Michael Denton is a Director with Moody’s Analytics Risk and Finance Advisory(RAFA) team, supporting both corporate clients and financial institutions in leveraging Moody’s tools and capabilities to improve decision-making and to enhance compliance capabilities. He offers deep experience in the energy, agriculture and commodities markets, with strong functional capabilities in strategic decision support and in building and aligning risk comprehension within the senior management team. His technical background includes market econometrics, asset valuation, risk quantification, and forecasting. Previously, Dr. Denton served as a Partner at Oliver Wyman and as an Executive Director at Ernst & Young LLP. In both firms, he led practices in analyzing uncertainty and leveraging those insights to enhance clients’ corporate strategy, risk management and quantitative analytics. Michael holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Arizona, an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS Engineering from Purdue University. He is based in New York but travels globally to support Moody’s Analytics clients. He is active in the industry, speaking before, and working with, groups such as the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Committee of Chief Risk Officers, and the Association of Finance Professionals.

Jacob is based in the San Francisco area and holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
