Marc R. Pinto, CFA is a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group, responsible for insurance credit ratings and research as the Co-Head of Global Insurance. Previously, Mr. Pinto was the Global Head of the Funds & Asset Management Group and the Chief Credit Policy Officer for North American Banks.
Mr. Pinto is also an Executive Sponsor for Moody’s Network of CFA Charterholders and the Global Administrative Professionals (GAP) Network, as well as a Mentor Advisor in the Mentoring Program within the Women’s Business Resource Group. He is also a contributing member to Moody’s CORE (Creating Opportunities for Racial Equity) initiative. Additionally, Mr. Pinto is a member of the Asset Management Committee which oversees Moody’s US retirement savings plans and global pension plan.
Prior to Moody’s, Mr. Pinto worked as a sell-side, buy-side and credit rating agency analyst in both New York and London. He led Credit and Economics Research in EMEA and the Americas at Merrill Lynch, where he was also a top-ranked financial institutions analyst. Previously, he was the Head of Corporate Bond Strategy at broker/dealer Susquehanna International, a portfolio manager at KBW Asset Management, now part of Stifel Financial, and a Director at Fitch Ratings. Mr. Pinto began his career at the United Nations International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome.
Mr. Pinto is a graduate of Columbia Business School and Trinity College (CT).
Mr. Robinson is an Associate Managing Director in the Life Insurance Group at Moody’s Investors Service. He is responsible for managing analysts who cover a broad array of life and health insurance companies. Prior to joining Moody’s in 1999, Mr. Robinson worked in the Investment Policy and Strategy Group of the Trust Company of the West. Previously he had been with AXA Financial. Mr. Robinson holds a degree in economics from Duke University and a Masters Degree in Actuarial Science from Georgia State University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a CFA charterholder.
Robert Colangelo is Vice President for the North America Financial Institutions Group. Based in Toronto, he is a lead credit analyst for the largest Canadian banks and insurance companies and publishes related research on these institutions as well as the banking and insurance sectors.
Rob joined Moody’s in June 2021. Before joining Moody’s, Rob worked at another credit rating agency based in Toronto where he was a lead analyst on the large Canadian banks and various credit unions and other financial institutions in Canada. Rob also held a wide range of senior level positions in Finance at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), including roles in External Reporting, Investor Relations and performance management reporting and forecasting. Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CA).
Manoj Jethani is a Vice President – Senior Analyst in the US life insurance team within the financial institutions group at Moody’s Investor Service where he has lead analyst responsibility for a portfolio of US life insurers. Manoj is also a speaker at internal and external conferences and investor events on insurance related topics and maintains ongoing dialogue with investors, media, intermediaries, and rated insurance companies. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2006, he worked as an actuary at a private actuarial consulting firm in Stamford, CT and as a credit analyst at Mashreq Bank in Dubai, UAE where he was responsible for the monitoring and reporting of the bank’s retail product portfolio, which included credit cards, auto loans and personal loans.
Manoj holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Finance from the University of Connecticut and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Accounting and Corporate Finance at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Rabia Yusufzai is an Analyst in the FIG Toronto office responsible for the ratings of Canadian banks, property and casualty insurers, pension managers and crown corporations.
Donald Robertson is an Associate Managing Director based in New York who oversees the North American teams covering US-based global investment banks, specialty finance companies and securities firms.
From 2013-2021, Donald was a lead analyst for global investment banks, securities firms and market infrastructure firms. In this role he had direct responsibility for the ratings of a number of US and European banks, exchange operators, electronic market makers and clearing houses. Donald was the lead author of Moody’s rating methodologies for Securities Industry Market Makers and Securities Industry Service Providers, and played an integral role in their development and implementation.
Donald joined Moody’s in 2007 as an accounting specialist in Moody’s Enhanced Analytics Group. In this role, he originally focused on various non-financial corporate sectors, publishing research on complex financial reporting topics and helping educate Moody’s analysts on matters of accounting and financial reporting. Donald subsequently transitioned into Moody’s Financial Institutions Group to lead the development of Moody’s cross-sector rating methodology for Financial Statement Adjustments in the Analysis of Financial Institutions and helped develop and implement Moody’s system for capturing, adjusting and analyzing banks’ financial reporting.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Donald was a Director of Financial Audit at Siemens Corporation, responsible for leading a team conducting IFRS and US GAAP audits in the Americas’ region. Donald started his career at PwC, in the firm’s Glasgow, UK office. In 1998, he transferred to the New York Metro region, and was an audit manager with a client base in the pharmaceutical industry.
Donald is a CA and CPA (inactive), and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Glasgow.

Rita Sahu is a Vice President - Senior Credit Officer in the Financial Institutions Group of Moody’s Investors Service, covering a portfolio of US banks. She joined Moody’s in 2003 as an Associate Analyst and has had lead analytical responsibilities since 2005.Before joining Moody’s, Rita held positions with J.P. Morgan, primarily in counterparty credit risk management, where she was responsible for monitoring and reporting on the firm’s global trading activities. Prior to J.P. Morgan, she was a compliance officer at Republic National Bank of New York. Rita began her career as a bank examiner for large regional and community banks with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.Rita holds a BS in accounting from Rutgers University and an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School
