Alka Anbarasu is an Associate Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, Alka is responsible for Moody's analytical teams covering ratings and research on banks, insurance companies, and non-bank financial institutions in Japan, ASEAN and Indian Sub-continent. Alka also coordinates the Global Financial Institution Group's efforts on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) scoring and research. Alka is a regular speaker at Moody's market briefings, external conferences podcasts and broadcast media. She is very active in promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and is a passionate impact leader for Moody's Community Impact initiatives in Asia.
Alka joined Moody's in 2013 and over the years has led the ratings of several high profile Asian financial institutions. Prior to joining Moody's, she worked in the investment banking division of J.P. Morgan in London and Mumbai and ING Vysya Bank in India. She has close to 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Alka holds an MBA from the Xavier Institute of Management in India.
Ms. Madani has over 20 years of experience at the World Bank, spanning three continents and over a dozen countries. Her initial entry to the World Bank was as a International Trade Economist, where she wrote a seminal paper on export processing zones. International trade and industrial zone topics remain of great interest to her. She has since worked as a country economist with governments in various regions including Africa, the Middle East, Central America and the Caribbean, Europe and Central Asia and now Vietnam. Her current focus is on growth and growth dynamics and macroeconomic policies (fiscal and monetary). In fiscal policy, she has worked on revenue and expenditure policies and public finance management.
Ms. Madani has a 2 masters and a Ph.D in Economics from University of California, Davis.
Anushka Shah is a Vice President with Moody’s Sovereign Risk Group. Based in Singapore, Anushka covers a number of countries in Asia Pacific, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Maldives and Mongolia.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Anushka worked for more than seven years at Citi Investment Research in Bombay, where her focus was on the South Asian economies.
Anushka has a Master’s in Economics and Finance from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Bombay.

- Former senior executive of HSBC in Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo, as deputy General Manager for Corporate & Investment Banking, as well as with HSBC in Vietnam, as successively Head of Global Banking cum Hanoi Branch Manager and Head of Risk Management.
- Former Deputy Financial Attaché of the Commercial Department of the French Embassy in Beijing, China.
- A graduate in economics and finance from the Paris Institute of Political Studies and from Dauphine University, Paris.
Ngoc Le is currently Chief Risk Officer at Orient Commercial Bank (OCB) in charge of delivering an effective risk management function with aspiring transformational agenda toward sustainable growth. Under his leadership, OCB has been consistently among the top banks in Vietnam in adopting and implementing advanced risk management standards such as Basel II IRB and Basel III while delivering satisfactory asset growth and quality.
Ngoc is very knowledgeable in Vietnam credit risk domain having previously held senior leadership roles in client origination, credit approval, portfolio management and problematic loans workout for both retail and corporate banking segments at various international banks including ANZ, HSBC and Citibank. He also spent a short tenure helping Alipay e-wallet business set-up in Vietnam as Country Risk & Compliance Advisor.
Ngoc earned an Executive MBA from RMIT Vietnam University under Merit Scholarship and a Bachelor of Business degree in Banking and Finance from Monash University (Australia).
Joyce Ong is an Assistant Vice President within Moody’s Financial Institutions Group.
Based in Singapore, she is responsible for the analysis and credit ratings of financial institutions in Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2020, Joyce worked for Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong as a credit analyst covering banks and non-bank financial institutions in Greater China. She has also worked for Credit Suisse in Singapore as a credit risk analyst and at the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a banking regulator.
Joyce holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
CJ Wong is an Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group.
Based in Singapore, CJ covers a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions in Bangladesh, Malaysia and Vietnam
Prior to joining Moody’s, CJ worked as a research analyst in the Dividend Forecasting team at IHS Markit, where he was responsible for providing estimates on financial institutions and corporates in Australia and Singapore.
CJ holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Sydney, majoring in Finance and Economics. He is a CFA Charterholder.
Do Khanh Vy is an Associate Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group. Based in Singapore, she is responsible for Moody’s portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions in Vietnam and Philippines.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Vy was a Senior Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore in the Financial Services Tax team, covering clients in the asset wealth management, insurance and banking industries.
Vy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors), Accountancy from the National University of Singapore.
