Sally Yim is a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong SAR, China, Sally is the Head of APAC Financial Institutions, responsible for Moody’s analytical teams covering ratings and research on APAC banks, insurance companies, and non-bank financial institutions such as securities and leasing companies. She is also a co-head of Moody’s Global Banking and Global Insurance & Asset Management rating franchises. In addition, Sally leads the Global Financial Institutions Group’s Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) efforts.
Sally joined Moody’s in February 2005 as an Associate Analyst in New York, covering property & casualty insurers. She transferred to Hong Kong in 2006 and completed a short stint in the Corporate Finance Group, supporting analysts in the
oil & gas, petrochemical and steel sectors. Sally rejoined the Financial Institutions Group as an Analyst in January 2007. Since then, Sally has covered various Asian financial institutions, including insurance companies, banks and securities firms and subsequently, became a manager overseeing various teams covering the ratings and research of Greater China and Korean financial institutions.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Sally worked as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young LLP in New York, specializing in private and public insurers. She also worked at Ernst & Young’s National Professional Practice, where she focused on technical accounting research, while assisting in accounting consultations.
Sally holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accounting from the University of Michigan. She is a CFA charterholder and also a Certified Public Accountant.
Kenneth Hui is the Executive Director (External) of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), responsible for promoting the development of Hong Kong as an international financial centre, advancing Mainland-Hong Kong financial cooperation, and overseeing the HKMA's participation in international forums and organisations.
Mr Hui joined the HKMA as Senior Manager (Market Development) in February 2017 and took up the role of Head (Market Development) in March 2020 with responsibilities in the formulation and implementation of various initiatives to promote the development of Hong Kong's financial sector.
Prior to joining the HKMA, Mr Hui was a Senior Manager in Investment Products Division of the Securities and Futures Commission, where he specialised in regulatory policies on retail funds and innovative retail investment products.
Sophia Sinae Lee is an Associate Managing Director in Moody’s Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong, she oversees the ratings team that is responsible for financial institutions in Hong Kong, Korea, Mongolia and Taiwan, and non-bank financial institutions in China.
Sophia joined Moody’s in 2013 and prior to that spent seven years at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong as an equity analyst. She has also held positions in Korea at Bank of Korea and Korea First Bank.
Sophia holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a BA in Russian Language and Literature from Korea University. She is also a CFA charterholder.
David Yin is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer with the Financial Institutions Group at Moody’s Investors Service Hong Kong Limited. David is covering a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions in China.
Before joining Moody’s, David worked as equity research analyst for Standard Chartered Bank, covering Chinese banks and securities companies. Earlier, he had covered Chinese financial institutions in Bank of China International Securities (China). He had also worked in the ECM department of Goldman Sachs Gao Hua Securities.
David holds a MSc in management and a BA in Economics from Peking University.
Kaven Tsang is a Senior Vice President in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group in Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Kaven covers a portfolio of property companies.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Kaven worked in commercial banks, including CITIC Ka Wah Bank, WestLB AG and the Norinchukin Bank, covering corporates in Hong Kong and China.
Kaven holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Joseph Lin is a VP – Senior Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group in Hong Kong, responsible for the coverage on Taiwan and Hong Kong banks as well as NBFIs in China.
Joe has extensive experience in debt capital markets and credit ratings. Joe joins Moody's from CLSA Hong Kong, where he was a Director in Rating Advisory from 2020 to 2022, and prior to that, he was a Director in Debt Capital Markets at CCB International Capital Ltd in Hong Kong from 2017 to 2020. As a rating advisor, his coverage included financial institutions and corporations in China and ASEAN, and he also acted as an ESG advisor.
Prior to his role in rating advisory, Joe was a credit rating analyst at Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings from 2007 to 2017 where he had diverse experience covering infrastructure issuers, leveraged finance transactions as well as acting as a trainer. He was based in New York, Taipei and Hong Kong.
Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Syracuse University, Master of Business Administration in Financial Management from Pace University and Master of Science in Management from New York University.
Stephanie Lau is a Vice President–Senior Credit Officer for the Corporate FinanceGroup in Asia. Based in Hong Kong, she covers mainly a portfolio of Hong Kong property companies. She has also covered other non-property sectors, including gaming, education, manufacturing, and logistics.
Stephanie has over fifteen years of experience as an equity research analyst. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2015, Stephanie was a Vice President at Mirae AssetSecurities in Hong Kong, where she was the Lead Analyst for the China property sector.
Stephanie has also worked as a sell-side equity analyst at MainFirst Securities in Hong Kong, CLSA Asia Pacific Markets in Shanghai, and Lehman Brothers in New York.
Stephanie holds an MA from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced InternationalStudies at Johns Hopkins University, where she specialized in China Studies and International Economics. She also holds a BA in International Studies from JohnsHopkins University.
Helen Zhang is an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group of Moody's Investors Service based in Hong Kong. She is responsible for a portfolio of banks in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Previously, she supported credit ratings of banks in mainland China.
Helen joined Moody’s in 2017 as an Associate Analyst. Prior to that, Helen spent two years at Ernst & Young, where she was a senior audit accountant covering financial institutions.
Helen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also a CPA in Hong Kong.
Ronald Iu is CEO of ZA Bank and Executive Director of the board.
He has over two decades of solid experience in banking and finance, ranging from risk management, sales and marketing to the development of innovative FinTech products.
Prior to joining ZA Bank in November 2022, Ronald was Chief Executive of Airstar Bank. He also served as senior management in various global and local financial institutions, including GE Capital (HK), China CITIC Bank International, Standard Chartered, and PrimeCredit.
Ronald holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hon) in Quantitative Analysis for Business programme from the City University Hong Kong.
Kelvin has over 20 years of experience in investment and research across multiple asset classes and geographies.
He was a partner at Indus Capital, a $7 billion Emerging Market hedge fund. Before joining Indus Capital, Kelvin was also a partner and head of research at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 18 years in their Hong Kong, Beijing, and Singapore offices.
Throughout his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Kelvin's insightful analysis earned him top rankings from Institutional Investor, AsiaMoney, and Greenwich Associates.
Dave is a serial entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and digital asset sectors.
In 2013, Dave transitioned from Investment Banking into the crypto space and has since built a number of successful businesses. In 2018, he co-founded OSL, now Asia's leading digital asset platform, and serves as an Executive Director on the board of its parent company, BC Group.
OSL provides brokerage, exchange, custody, and SaaS services to professional and institutional investors across the region.
Before joining BC Group, Dave held senior roles at HSBC, Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, ABN AMRO, and Bear Stearns, among others. He is widely respected for his thought leadership in the digital asset ecosystem and frequently appears on Bloomberg TV, CNBC, and CNN to discuss industry trends. Dave has also been cited in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and Vanity Fair, as well as industry outlets like CoinDesk and CoinTelegraph.

Maria Lee is an Managing Director and APAC Head of Relationship Management. In her role, Maria leads the teams responsible for formulating and operationalizing commercial strategies related to new business development and existing issuer relationships in APAC Region.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Maria worked at Standard Chartered Bank as the Head of Ratings Advisory for Greater China and Northeast Asia. She has also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers Australia and has held analyst positions at Moody’s and Credit Suisse in Hong Kong.
Maria is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

Kelly Moy is Senior Vice President of the Investor Management Team in Moody’s Investor Service, based in Hong Kong. She has led Moody’s business development and relationship management initiatives in North Asia, supporting issuers and intermediaries in Japan, Korea and the Greater China region.
Kelly has years of experience working in the investment banking as well as technology industries. Prior to Moody’s, Kelly was a Vice President at J.P. Morgan, specialized in leading debt capital market transactions, and advising clients on various corporate finance, investment and acquisition opportunities in the U.S. and Greater China. At Yahoo! Inc., Kelly led business development and strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s revenues, product offerings and distribution channels.
Kelly holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania (The Wharton School) and a BS in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from University of California at Berkeley.
