Texas’ state and local government credit quality continues to benefit from job creation and population growth.  Ongoing housing affordability, an educated workforce and strong natural resources have driven healthy revenue performance. Population growth and heat dome effects on Texas have resulted in historically high ERCOT utilization and reliability enhancements will be essential to address rising demand and an evolving fuel mix with more renewables.
