Effie Tsotsani Vice President - Senior Analyst, Financial Institutions Moody's Ratings

Effie Tsotsani is a Vice President – Senior Analyst based in London and is the lead analyst for various financial institutions in the UK, Norway and Iceland.

Effie joined Moody’s in 2014 after working for eight years as an equity analyst covering the banking sector as a sell-side and buy-side analyst. Ms Tsotsani holds a Master of Science in Statistics from Athens University of Economic and Business and a Bachelor degree in Mathematics from National University of Athens.

Simon Ainsworth Associate Managing Director, Financial Institutions Moody's Ratings

Simon Ainsworth, who is based in London, is an Associate Managing Director responsible for the analytical teams maintaining ratings on Nordic and Baltic banks and on a range of European insurance companies.

Simon previously served as a Group Credit Officer. In that role he carried responsibility for monitoring ratings quality as well as assisting in the development and implementation of rating methodologies and practices applied to rated financial institutions within the EMEA region.

Simon joined Moody’s in March 2014 following sixteen years at the Bank of England.

At the Bank, he worked in a variety of roles primarily in its financial markets and banking operation divisions; as well as working on a variety of financial risk and crisis related issues. This included the resolution of failed banks, as well as responsibility for the risk management framework applied to collateral accepted in the Bank’s sterling market operations.Simon graduated from the University of Durham in 1998, having studied Economics and Politics. He is based in London.

Niclas Boheman Vice President - Senior Credit Officer, Financial Institutions Moody's Ratings

Niclas Boheman, based in Stockholm, is Moody’s lead analyst on a number of financial institutions in the Nordics and Baltics. He also focuses on innovation and digitalisation trends in financial services in Europe. 

Prior to joining Moody’s in 2016, Mr Boheman was a credit analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Svenska Handelsbanken, Stockholm. Mr Boheman holds a Degree of Master of Science (One Year) in International Economics from the School of Economics and Management, Lund University.

Nicolas leads in Digitalization, Innovation and IT/Business alignment. He has lots of experience as a top executive and consultant, leading Digital transformation and new technology adoption. This includes getting Cloud and AI technologies to be used more, changing how an organization is structured, moving towards a more agile workflow and he was the main IT person for SEB for 10 years as a member of the top team, taking care of the bank's digital plan. He's in charge of SEBx, a part of SEB that tries out new ideas, he's part of the Bank's investment committee and he has lots of experience being on the boards of Technology and Banking organizations.

Irina is an Analyst in the EMEA Insurance Team, with lead responsibilities for a portfolio of insurance companies in several European countries. Irina joined Moody’s London office in 2018 and transitioned to Frankfurt in 2020.

Prior to her current role, Irina worked as an Associate Analyst providing analytical support for a range of insurance companies across the EMEA region. Irina also supported ratings for UK asset managers.

Irina graduated from the Vienna University of Economics with M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting and holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the same university.

Vincent Gusdorf Associate Managing Director, Digital Finance and AI Analytics Moody's Ratings

Vincent Gusdorf is a Associate Managing Director in the DeFi and Digital Assets team (DFDA), leading Moody’s blockchain technology research. Before joining the DFDA team, Vincent worked for the Innovation and Data Science team, managing several machine learning projects and defining the innovation roadmap.

Vincent worked as a credit analyst for 16 years and covered investment grade and high-yield corporates. He also contributed to developing Moody’s cyber risk expertise in Europe. Before joining Moody’s, Vincent worked at Standard & Poor’s, Exane BNP Paribas, and Ernst and Young.

Vincent is a CFA charter holder and holds a Master of Finance from Sciences Po Paris and a Master of Law from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. He is a self-trained programmer and developed his blockchain and machine learning expertise by completing multiple online data science and cloud certifications. Vincent is also a Certified ScrumMaster and a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
