Bridget Welsh is currently Honorary Research Associate with the University of Nottingham Asia Research Institute Malaysia (UoNARI-M) based in Kuala Lumpur. She is also a Senior Research Associate of the Hu Feng Center for East Asia Democratic Studies of National Taiwan University and a Senior Associate Fellow of The Habibie Center. She specializes in Southeast Asian politics, with a focus on Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Indonesia. She is committed to fostering engagement, mutual understanding and empowerment.
Christian de Guzman is a Senior Vice President with Moody’s Sovereign and Sub-Sovereign Risk Group. Based in Singapore, he covers a portfolio of sovereigns and multilateral development banks in Asia Pacific, including Japan, India and a number of Southeast Asian credits, while also managing the team responsible for sub-sovereign ratings in Asia ex-China.
Christian joined Moody’s in 2009, after working as a Senior Economist for the Monetary Authority of Singapore, covering ASEAN economies. He has also held various positions with the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC, and Procter & Gamble in Singapore.
Christian was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate in Economics and Political Science at the University of Georgia and received his M.A. in International Economics and Southeast Asian Studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
Dr Ray Choy is Chief Economist at MARC Ratings Bhd.
Prior to MARC, he headed the research offices of banking groups CIMB and RHB across Southeast Asia, following a leadership role in global funds management, accumulating over two decades of experience.
Dr Ray has earned top rankings by Alpha Southeast Asia, The Asset, and Lipper, amongst others. He has published in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals and authored 'Essays in Bond Market Economics'. Additionally, he is a corporate trainer, an adjunct academic at various universities, and was admitted to the Directors' Registry of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia.
Dr Ray holds a BA in Business and Finance (Distinction) from Heriot-Watt University, a BSc in Politics and International Relations (1st Class Honours) from the University of London (LSE), an MSc in Finance (Economic Policy) from the University of London (SOAS) and a PhD focusing on sovereign credit ratings from the University of Nottingham.

Deborah Tan is a Vice President within Moody’s Credit Strategy and Standards Group. Based in Singapore, she leads Moody’s thematic research for India, Southeast Asia and Australia with a focus on producing forward-looking macro-credit insights and outlooks. Her responsibilities also include designing scenario analysis to test the resilience of Moody’s rating methodologies and assessing the impact of these scenarios.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2019, Deborah was a macroeconomist at BHP Billiton where she covered both India and the US and led the Group’s interest rate, FX and long-term growth projections for key markets. She has also worked at the Monetary Authority of Singapore and PWC.
Deborah holds a master’s in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor of science in Economics from University College London.
Taufiq is the Rating Portfolio Head for property and conglomerates. He has been with MARC for 12 years. He responsible for ratings in the property sector. He also oversees a rating portfolio of debt issuances by Malaysian conglomerates.
Taufiq holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from University of the West of England.
Ray Tay is a Associate Managing Director in Moody’s Project and Infrastructure Finance Group. Based in Singapore, Ray covers project finance, transport, utilities and other infrastructure credits in Southeast Asia and India. Ray also authors research and conducts outreach focused on topics such as project bonds and the role of funding diversity and credit enhancement in bridging the infrastructure gap, particularly in emerging markets. Ray is also a member of Moody’s APAC ESG Working Group.
Before joining Moody’s in 2012, Ray was a Director with the Global Infrastructure & Projects Group in KPMG. Ray has also worked as a Senior Business Analyst with the Singapore Power Group, focusing on regulatory economics in each of its principal local operating subsidiaries.
Ray holds a Bachelor’s in Economics with honors from the National University of Singapore.
Nidhi Dhruv is a Senior Credit Officer, with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Singapore, Nidhi covers a portfolio of issuers across the telecommunications, telecom towers, mining, construction and airline industries in South and Southeast Asia.
Before joining Moody’s in 2007, Nidhi was an analyst with Citigroup Investment Banking in India and Singapore for three years.
Nidhi is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She also has an MBA in Finance from Mumbai University.
Spencer Ng is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Public, Project & Infrastructure Finance team. Based in Singapore, Spencer is responsible for project finance and infrastructure credits, including power utilities, renewables and airports in South and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2007, Spencer worked for Ernst & Young Transactions Advisory Services in their Project Finance team. Spencer has also held various analytical and accounting roles at ANZ Bank, JP Morgan and State Street Australia.
Spencer holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Justin is a Partner with Deloitte Asia Pacific. Based out of Kuala Lumpur office, he is leading the Financial Services Practice in Malaysia. In his role, he enjoys engaging with key stakeholders in the financial services ecosystem (regulatory bodies, industry players, and talents), by bringing the latest thinking to achieve a progressive, sustainable and resilient future.
In the past decades, he has worked with more than 50 regulatory bodies and financial services institutions in the regions, across Asia Pacific (i.e. Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia), Europe and Africa. He supported Boards and C-suites, in their transformation programme, focusing on digital, governance, risk management, compliance, and audit related matters.
In addition, he is an active volunteer with CFA Institute and CFA Society Malaysia, where he has served in various leadership positions since 2015.
Eugene Tarzimanov is a Senior Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, he is the Lead Analyst for banks in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Eugene is also responsible for coordinating banking research across Asia Pacific, and actively represents Moody’s to regulators, investors and the media on analytical and methodological views. Eugene moved to Singapore from Moody’s Moscow office, where he covered the largest banks in Russia, as well as financial institutions in Europe and the Middle East.
Before joining Moody’s in early 2009, Eugene held senior positions during his five years with Standard & Poor’s, where he was responsible for the analysis of banks in Europe and the Middle East. He has also worked at the CEO’s office of Bank VTB, where he was responsible for inhouse research.
Eugene holds an MBA in financial management from New York’s Pace University, and a BSc in international economics from Moscow’s Finance Academy.
Tengfu Li is an Assistant Vice President – Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group.
Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the credit ratings of financial institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia. Prior to Moody’s, Tengfu worked at OCBC Bank, where he developed credit risk models.

CJ Wong is an Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group.
Based in Singapore, CJ covers a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions in Bangladesh, Malaysia and Vietnam
Prior to joining Moody’s, CJ worked as a research analyst in the Dividend Forecasting team at IHS Markit, where he was responsible for providing estimates on financial institutions and corporates in Australia and Singapore.
CJ holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Sydney, majoring in Finance and Economics. He is a CFA Charterholder.
Jing Li is an Associate Lead Analyst with Moody's Sustainable Finance team, based in Singapore. She provides Second Party Opinions on green, social, sustainability and sustainability-linked issuances.
Prior to joining the Sustainable Finance team, Jing Li worked as an Associate Analyst with the Sovereign Risk Group, where she covered the credit ratings of a portfolio of sovereigns, multilateral development banks and sub-sovereign entities in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Moody's, Jing Li worked at an infrastructure indices provider, where she led a team of analysts covering infrastructure projects and markets across Europe and Asia Pacific. She also has prior experience in audit and accounting, covering firms in several sectors including energy, real estate and technology.
Jing Li holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Queensland and is a CPA.
Salmah Bee Mohd Mydin is the Executive Director of Market Development at the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) responsible for sustainability, corporate governance, investment product development along with the securities and derivatives development functions. An important focus of the SC’s agenda is the development of a capital market that is inclusive and sustainable and Salmah leads a team that is responsible for formulating initiatives to enhance market efficiency, vibrancy and competitiveness. She is a board member of the Audit Oversight Board, the Finance Accreditation Agency, the Malaysian Venture Capital and Private Equity Development Council; and Penjana Kapital Sdn Bhd, an MoF Inc company and the Labuan Financial Services Authority.
Ranita forges partnerships with Maybank Global Banking (GB) clients to build sustainability-first businesses. Her scope includes initiating differentiated client conversations and developing bespoke decarbonisation and transition solutions. She is spearheading ESG integration and capacity and capability building across GB’s businesses, as well as elevating its thought leadership efforts, establishing Maybank as a regional ESG leader and mobilising RM80 bil sustainable financing by 2025.
With over 20 years’ experience in corporate and investment banking, credit and management consulting, she has held several leadership positions, most recently as Head of the CEO’s Office at Maybank Investment Banking Group, where she developed and implemented the ESG roadmap and expanded the role of research as the ESG ideation centre, which is now part of the larger GB ESG ecosystem. Since joining Maybank in 2010 during her tenure in Binafikir and Project Finance Advisory, Debt Markets, she specialised in public-private-partnerships and renewable energy initiatives in ASEAN.
She holds a degree in Accountancy from University of East Anglia and has the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification.
Leslie Jong Vui Min is an ESG/Sustainability Consultant at MARC Solutions Sdn Bhd. In this capacity, Leslie oversees all of the ESG/Sustainability initiatives under Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC).
His extensive experience in ESG includes over 10 years of assisting institutions perform comprehensive assessments in the areas of sustainability and forestry. Leslie was the Malaysian Country Manager for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a global, nonprofit organisation dedicated to promoting the responsible management of the world's forests.
Aside from his roles at MARC and FSC, Leslie was also an accredited third-party independent certification consultant for the Alliance for Water Stewardship, a global membership collaboration that drives good water stewardship.
Leslie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from Swinburne University of Technology Sawarak (SUTS), Malaysia.
In his role, John is involved in integrating ESG into Moody’s credit rating research and is the point person for Moody’s ESG outreach in the Asia-Pacific region. He is also responsible for publishing thematic and issuer-specific research on ESG risks relevant to credit analysis.
Prior to joining Moody’s, John was CEO of Visiondom ESG, an independent ESG consultancy in China, which helped institutional investors integrate ESG into their investment process. He also worked as an ESG specialist with Fidelity International’s Asia Stewardship and Sustainable Investing team, focusing on the Greater China and Oceania markets for five years. At Fidelity, he was closely involved in promoting ESG best practices in Asia and ESG integration, and had a special focus on corporate governance and carbon trading.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Singapore Management University and is a CFA Charterholder.
Erman Zhang is an Analyst in Moody’s Project and Infrastructure Finance Group. Based in Singapore, she covers project and infrastructure credits in South and Southeast Asia.
Erman has several years of experience in infrastructure and asset finance. Prior to joining Moody’s, she worked in Mizuho Bank’s Singapore branch, covering a portfolio of major shipping companies. Erman’s previous roles included being a manager at the Singapore branch of bank of China, covering infrastructure and project finance in Southeast Asia, and being a corporate relationship manager at HSBC China.

Jacintha Poh is an Associate Managing Director for the Corporate Finance Group at Moody's, based in Singapore. She leads a team of analysts who are responsible for Moody's nonfinancial corporate ratings and research in the South and Southeast Asia region.
Jacintha joined Moody's in 2012 taking several Lead Analyst roles, where she demonstrated her ability to execute complex analyses across a diverse range of sectors, including real estate, hospitality, and investment holding companies.
Before joining Moody's, Jacintha worked for Lion Global Investors, where she served as a Credit Analyst on the Fixed Income team. Jacintha holds an honors BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of London.
