Karine Hirn is a partner and co-founder of East Capital Group. Born in France and based in Hong Kong since 2013, Karine is Chief Sustainability Officer for East Capital Group and Chairperson of the Luxembourg-domiciled management company and fund structures. Previously, Karine was China Chief Representative in Shanghai and CEO of East Capital in Sweden. Karine is a French Trade Advisor and honorary member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. She is also an advisor to the Center for Emerging Markets at Northeastern University in Boston. She is a frequent commentator on emerging markets and sustainable investing in international conferences and media. Prior to East Capital, she worked in Russia, in the banking industry and as a financial consultant in Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow.

She holds a MSc in Management from EM Lyon, a Post Graduate Degree in Eastern European Studies from Sciences Po Paris and studied at Moscow Academy of Finance and Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki. She speaks French, English, Swedish, Russian and is conversational in Mandarin and Spanish.

Hendrik is responsible for the CLP Group’s sustainability-focused strategy, reporting and engagement. He supports the senior management in sustainability and climate-related risk management and advises on a range of sustainability matters of the Group’s power business in the Asia-Pacific region, including carbon markets, sustainability reporting standards, and compliance.

With more than 20 years of experience in sustainability and environmental management across the public, private and NGO sectors, Hendrik previously led research and consulting projects in Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore.

He currently sits on several sustainability-related committees, including as a director of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), and as a member of the IFRS Sustainability Reference Group. In Hong Kong, he serves as a member of the Sustainability Disclosure Standards Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), Co-Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham HK) Sustainability Committee, and a member of the Environment and Sustainability Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC).

Antoine is Head of Sustainable Investment Banking for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East at Crédit Agricole CIB. He is responsible for developing the Bank’s sustainable finance footprint and product range in the regions. Under his leadership, the franchise has been rewarded several times by the reputable awards (IFR Asia, Euromoney Asia, Finance Asia and the Assets).

Antoine has more than 10 years’ experience in the sustainable finance field. He first joined the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department at Crédit Agricole CIB in 2010 and subsequently the Sustainable Banking team in 2014. In this team, he later became Sustainable Banking Director and took the responsibility of several large clients in Benelux, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where he actively developed Crédit Agricole CIB’s sustainable finance activities.

Nana joined Impax in 2022 and is responsible for leading Impax’s sustainability and stewardship-related research and advocacies in Asia-Pacific. Nana researches, prioritizes and organizes engagements with Impax’s investee companies and regulators, manages external sustainability and stewardship -related inquiries, and assists in the ongoing development of the Impax proprietary sustainability-analysis and methodologies.

Prior to joining Impax, Nana worked as the Research and Project Director at the Asian Corporate Governance Association (ACGA). At ACGA, Nana published five significant reports relating to corporate governance research in Asia. Whilst there, she also presented to the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges and the Shenzhen Asset Management Association. Since 2018, Nana has been the Chair of ACGA’s China working group, a role she continues to fill today. Upon joining Impax, Nana remains a Specialist Consultant to ACGA.

Nana has spoken at international conferences hosted by a number of financial institutions and international organisations including ACGA, ADB, AmCham, AVCJ, BritCham, CDP, CFA, China SIF, CLSA, COP, Deutsche Bank, EMIA, Forbes, GFANZ, GRI, HSBC, ICGN, IEEFA, LSEG, Macquarie, Morgan Stanley, OECD, PRI, Responsible Investor, ReThink and WBA. She was also interviewed by international media including Bloomberg, CGTN (CCTV’s English Channel), Financial Times, Ignites Asia, The Asset and Wall Street Journal. She is a guest speaker at several universities including CUHK, PKU, U of Edinburgh and U of Toronto. In 2024, Nana co-authored the book titled: Unlocking Corporate Success by the Power of Diversity, the first book to discuss diversity issue from investors’ perspective in Japan.

Nana sits on the Stakeholder Advisory Council of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board and the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants, the Global Policy Committee of the International Corporate Governance Network, the ESG Committee of the Women in Finance Asia and the Caixin China ESG30 Forum. She is a member of the IFRS Sustainability Reference Group and the Global Capacity Building Coalition Advisory Group. Nana is also an instructor of the Association of Stewardship Professionals.

Nana has an MBA from the University of Chicago (Honors), a Master of Finance from the University of Hong Kong (Dean’s List), and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales (Distinction). She is a CFA charterholder and has finished the HKICPA Qualification Program.

Professor Jimmy Fung is a leading atmospheric scientist whose work has transformed regional climate‑change modelling in East Asia.  He is the Chair Professor of Environment & Sustainability and of Mathematics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

For more than twenty‑five years Professor Fung has pioneered high‑resolution, mesoscale modelling systems—integrating WRF, CMAQ, CALMET, ADMS and CFD tools—to diagnose and predict the coupled behaviour of weather, climate and air quality across the Pearl River Delta and the broader Greater Bay Area. His group built Asia’s first university‑based regional numerical weather‑prediction and real‑time air‑quality forecast platform, and they continue to refine it with advanced data‑assimilation and machine‑learning techniques.

Central to his research is quantifying how urbanisation, land–sea‑breeze dynamics and monsoon variability modify regional climate under global warming. By nesting street‑scale dispersion models within kilometre‑scale climate projections, Fung links greenhouse‑gas and aerosol scenarios to tangible local impacts: extreme rainstorms, tropical‑cyclone wind fields, heat‑wave intensification and pollutant exposure. The resulting insights underpin Hong Kong’s Air Quality Health Index, inform Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macau Greater Bay Area climate‑adaptation policies, and support the award‑winning PRAISE‑HK mobile app that delivers personalised, real‑time exposure advice.

Rahul Ghosh is Managing Director – Global Head of Sustainable Finance for Moody's Ratings.

Rahul leads global oversight for the credit rating agency’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) research and outreach strategy. In this capacity, he is responsible for co-ordinating high quality and impactful research exploring the credit implications of ESG, as well as digital and in-person outreach to meet the growing market needs of investors, issuers and other important stakeholders.

Rahul is a regular participant at high-profile industry working groups, market briefings, external conferences and media engagements. He is a member of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, a market-led initiative to develop a risk management and disclosure framework for nature-related risks. He has also represented Moody’s on the UN Principles for Responsible Investment's advisory committee on credit ratings and the Green and Social Bond Principles working groups. He has presented on the impact of climate change on emerging market sovereigns at the G20 Green Finance Study Group and on sustainable finance trends at the International Finance Corporation’s Global Debt Mobilization Conference.

Before his current role, Rahul oversaw Moody’s ESG Solutions Group outreach and engagement activities globally with the sustainability stakeholder community. He also previously worked in Moody’s Credit Strategy & Research team where he was responsible for thematic research and outreach on global emerging market (EM) credit trends. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2013, Rahul was the Head of Asia at BMI Research (Fitch Solutions) in Singapore, leading a team of macroeconomists and industry specialists in analysing sovereign risk, sector performance and the capital markets.

Rahul is a passionate impact leader for Moody’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in London, chairing the pillar on “activating an environmentally sustainable future”. He holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Society of the UK.

Natasha Brereton-Fukui is Senior Vice President, Global Sustainable Finance Research, at Moody’s Ratings in Singapore.

In addition to driving Moody’s Ratings’ global thought leadership on sustainable and transition finance, Natasha oversees overall research content in the Asia-Pacific region. As co-chair of Moody’s APAC Minds Business Resource Group, she also champions mental and physical health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Before joining Moody’s in 2014, Natasha spent more than a decade in journalism, based in Tokyo, London and Singapore, chiefly with Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal. She was named “Journalist of the Year” in the 2009 UK Institutional Press Awards.

Natasha has a BA in Chinese Studies (Hons) from the University of Oxford and was a Daiwa Scholar from 2002-4. She holds the CFA's Certificate in Climate and Investing.

Jeffrey Lee is the Senior Vice President-Sustainable Finance and Head of Assessments for APAC with Moody’s Ratings. He is based in Singapore. In this role, Jeffrey oversees analytical teams in Hong Kong SAR (HK), Singapore and Tokyo, who are in charge of producing assessments on the credentials of sustainable debt instruments and financing frameworks (Second Party Opinions) and the strength of entities’ carbon transition plans (Net Zero Assessments). Jeffrey also supervises publication of thought leadership research related to sustainable finance market, such as sustainable finance outlooks and thematic reports on transition finance.

Jeffrey regularly participates as a speaker at high profile external conferences, roundtables, and media engagements. He represents Moody’s on various industry working groups and associations, including the International Capital Market Association’s Green and Social Bond Principles advisory council and the Singapore Sustainable Finance Association.

Before his current capacity, Jeffrey was a senior credit rating analyst for the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) at Moody’s Ratings, where he was a lead analyst for assigning credit rating for banks and non-bank financial institutions in the ASEAN and India. Prior to that, he was a regional manager and led a team of associates providing credit rating support for the FIG in APAC. He joined Moody’s in 2013 as an associate covering Korean financial institutions.

Before joining Moody’s Jeffrey worked at Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Division in South Korea, covering a portfolio of Korean clients. Jeffrey holds a BSc in Economics from Korea University.

In his role, John is involved in integrating ESG into Moody’s credit rating research and is the point person for Moody’s ESG outreach in the Asia-Pacific region. He is also responsible for publishing thematic and issuer-specific research on ESG risks relevant to credit analysis.

Prior to joining Moody’s, John was CEO of Visiondom ESG, an independent ESG consultancy in China, which helped institutional investors integrate ESG into their investment process. He also worked as an ESG specialist with Fidelity International’s Asia Stewardship and Sustainable Investing team, focusing on the Greater China and Oceania markets for five years. At Fidelity, he was closely involved in promoting ESG best practices in Asia and ESG integration, and had a special focus on corporate governance and carbon trading.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Singapore Management University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Shawn Xiong is a Vice President - Senior Analyst with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Hong Kong, Shawn is the Lead Analyst for a portfolio of China non-property companies, including those in the metals and mining, healthcare services, retail and telecom and IT services sectors.

Before his relocation to Hong Kong, Shawn worked for five years with Moody’s in Sydney, where he covered the Australian mining services, building materials and gaming sectors.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Shawn worked for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia as an Associate in its Debt Capital Markets division.

Shawn has also worked as a Senior Analyst in the Corporate Finance division of KPMG in Sydney.

Shawn holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting from Macquarie University in Sydney. He is also a CFA Charterholder and a CA.
