Ilya Serov is the Associate Managing Director for Moody’s Structured Finance Group in Sydney, responsible for managing the new ratings team.

Prior to joining the Structured Finance Group, Ilya was a Senior Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group, covering Australian major and investment banks. He was also the lead analyst for the Australian mortgage insurance sector. Ilya joined Moody’s Financial Institutions team in 2011, and was first based in New York, and then Sydney. Previously, he worked in Moody’s Structured Finance Group in Australia, where his responsibilities included residential mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, and esoteric structures.

Before joining Moody’s in 2003, Ilya worked as an academic at a leading Australian university, researching and lecturing on corporate finance. Ilya holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degrees from the University of New South Wales.

Philip Au is currently an Analyst in the Structured Finance Group in Sydney, responsible for the assignment of new ratings to residential mortgage-backed securities and asset-backed securities transactions. He regularly publishes research on the mortgage sector in Australia. Philip first joined Moody's as an associate analyst in the Financial Institutions team in 2019, and has also held positions at Westpac and APRA.

Philip holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Sydney.

Jacqui Dredge is a Vice President – Senior Analyst in Moody’s Structured Finance Group, based in Sydney. Jacqui is a primary ratings analyst with a focus on Australian RMBS and ABS. She joined Moody’s in 2018 as an Analyst.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Jacqui worked at Bank of Queensland where she was responsible for the management of Structured Finance funding partnerships.

Jacqui holds a Business Science double honors degree from the University of Cape Town and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

John Paul Truijens is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Structured Finance Group. Based in Sydney, John Paul covers the Australian RMBS and ABS markets. He joined Moody’s in 2005 in London as an Analyst, initially covering European CDO’s and later UK and South African RMBS. 

Prior to joining Moody’s, John Paul worked at Credit Suisse in London and at Deloitte in South Africa. 

John Paul holds a Business Science honors degree from the University of Cape Town and is a qualified Charted Accountant.

Sarah is an Assistant Vice President - Analyst with the Project & Infrastructure Finance Group, covering a portfolio of Australian and New Zealand infrastructure companies across sectors including the energy utilities, electricity and gas networks, airports, LNG projects and Private Public Partnership (PPP) projects.
