Jacintha Poh is an Associate Managing Director for the Corporate Finance Group at Moody's, based in Singapore. She leads a team of analysts who are responsible for Moody's nonfinancial corporate ratings and research in the South and Southeast Asia region.

Jacintha joined Moody's in 2012 taking several Lead Analyst roles, where she demonstrated her ability to execute complex analyses across a diverse range of sectors, including real estate, hospitality, and investment holding companies.

Before joining Moody's, Jacintha worked for Lion Global Investors, where she served as a Credit Analyst on the Fixed Income team. Jacintha holds an honors BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of London.

Martin Petch is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer with Moody’s Sovereign Risk Group. Based in Singapore, he covers a portfolio of sovereign credits in the Asia Pacific region – including China, Australia, Hong Kong - as well as credits in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Martin joined Moody’s in 2017, after working as the Manager of Economic Analysis and Research with BHP Billiton covering its key commodity markets, China, Japan and India, economies in the South East Asian region, and the major advanced economies.

Martin also held various positions with the Australian Commonwealth Treasury, the Commonwealth Bank and the Australian Industry Group.

Martin was a graduate in Economics from the University of Western Australia.

Dr. Kuik Cheng-Chwee is Professor of International Relations at the Institute of Malaysian and International Studies, National University of Malaysia (UKM). He is concurrently a nonresident senior fellow at Johns Hopkins University’s Foreign Policy Institute, and a nonresident scholar at Carnegie China. Previously he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Princeton-Harvard “China and the World” Program. Professor Kuik’s research focuses on the foreign policies of small and secondary states, Asian security, and international relations. His essay, “The Essence of Hedging”, won ISEAS’s Michael Leifer Memorial Prize. He served as Head of the Writing Team for Malaysia's inaugural Defence White Paper. Cheng-Chwee serves on the editorial boards of Contemporary Southeast Asia, Australian Journal of International Affairs, and several other international journals. He holds an M.Litt. from the University of St. Andrews and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. He is listed in Stanford University’s Top 2% Scientists, subfield International Relations, in 2023 and 2024.

Dr Ray Choy is Chief Economist at MARC Ratings Bhd.

Prior to MARC, he headed the research offices of banking groups CIMB and RHB across Southeast Asia, following a leadership role in global funds management, accumulating over two decades of experience. 

Dr Ray has earned top rankings by Alpha Southeast Asia, The Asset, and Lipper, amongst others. He has published in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals and authored 'Essays in Bond Market Economics'. Additionally, he is a corporate trainer, an adjunct academic at various universities, and was admitted to the Directors' Registry of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia. 

Dr Ray holds a BA in Business and Finance (Distinction) from Heriot-Watt University, a BSc in Politics and International Relations (1st Class Honours) from the University of London (LSE), an MSc in Finance (Economic Policy) from the University of London (SOAS) and a PhD focusing on sovereign credit ratings from the University of Nottingham.

Deborah Tan is a Vice President within Moody’s Credit Strategy and Guidance Group. Based in Singapore, she leads Moody’s thematic research for India, Southeast Asia and Australia with a focus on producing forward-looking macro-credit insights and outlooks. Her responsibilities also include designing scenario analysis to test the resilience of Moody’s rating methodologies and assessing the impact of these scenarios. 

Prior to joining Moody’s in 2019, Deborah was a macroeconomist at BHP Billiton where she covered both India and the US and led the Group’s interest rate, FX and long-term growth projections for key markets. She has also worked at the Monetary Authority of Singapore and PWC. 

Deborah holds a master’s in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor of science in Economics from University College London.

Prior to his move to Singapore in 2017, Maisam spent four years in Moody’s Hong Kong office covering a broad array of sectors, including telecommunications, communications infrastructure, building materials, and metals and mining. 

Maisam joined Moody’s in 2010 and started as an Associate in Moody’s Regional Product Strategy team, which is responsible for managing all aspects of Moody’s research and data service offerings, including new business initiatives. 

Maisam holds a double major in Economics and Finance, and a minor in Arabic from The University of Hong Kong. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Nidhi Dhruv is a Senior Credit Officer, with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Singapore, Nidhi covers a portfolio of issuers across the telecommunications, telecom towers, mining, construction and airline industries in South and Southeast Asia.

Before joining Moody’s in 2007, Nidhi was an analyst with Citigroup Investment Banking in India and Singapore for three years. 

Nidhi is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She also has an MBA in Finance from Mumbai University.

Hui Ting Sim is an Vice President - Senior Analyst with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Singapore, she covers a portfolio of Southeast Asian oil and gas companies. 

Hui Ting joined Moody’s in 2017 as an Associate Analyst and previously covered a range of industries including metals & mining, as well as Singapore real estate investment trusts. 

Prior to joining Moody’s, Hui Ting worked in credit risk roles at Noble Resources International Pte Ltd and PetroChina International (Singapore) Pte Ltd. 

Hui Ting holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) from the National University of Singapore. She is also a CFA charter-holder. 

Zi Zhu is an Analyst in Moody’s Project and Infrastructure Finance Group. Based in Singapore, he covers project finance, transport, utilities and other infrastructure credit in Southeast Asia and India.

Before joining Moody’s, Zi worked in corporate coverage team of Societe Generale in Singapore, where he supported bankers in client relationship management and transaction origination. Zi has also worked in Credit Agricole CIB’s DCM team in Hong Kong.

Zi holds a Master of Science in Management from ESSEC Business School in France.

Malkit joined HLB in July 2019 as CFO with over 34 years of banking and finance experience, and is responsible for the overall financial management for the Bank. Since he joined, HLB Group achieved impressive financial results; PAT increased by 57% over 5yrs from RM2.66b to RM4.20b in FY2024 or a CAGR of 9.5%. For FY2024, ROE sustained at 11.8% (from 10.8% in FY2019), with excellent asset quality and industry leading GIL ratio of 0.53% (0.78% in FY2019). Malkit is also the Sustainability Committee Chairman.

Prior to HLB, Malkit held the Group CFO position at BIMB Holdings and served as CFO of Bank Islam and ABN Ambro Bank. He is a Chartered Accountant with Malaysian Institute of Accountants and fellow member of CPA Australia. Ann Ong is the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Senior Credit Officer (SCO) for Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad and Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad since December 2023. Ann has been with the Bank since 2008 covering various areas from Client Coverage, Corporate Credits and Risk Management across 3 markets in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

CJ Wong is an Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group.

Based in Singapore, CJ covers a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions in Bangladesh, Malaysia and Vietnam

Prior to joining Moody’s, CJ worked as a research analyst in the Dividend Forecasting team at IHS Markit, where he was responsible for providing estimates on financial institutions and corporates in Australia and Singapore.

CJ holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Sydney, majoring in Finance and Economics. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Tengfu Li is an Assistant Vice President – Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group.

Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the credit ratings of financial institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia. Prior to Moody’s, Tengfu worked at OCBC Bank, where he developed credit risk models.

Tengfu holds a MSc in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University, and a BEng in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Jing Li is an AVP with Moody's Sustainable Finance team, based in Singapore. She has produced Second Party Opinions for green, social, sustainability and sustainability-linked frameworks for clients across various sectors, including financial services, real estate and energy. She has also supported the development of supplementary opinions for Moody’s SPOs on regional taxonomies and standards, such as the Singapore-Asia Taxonomy, Australian Taxonomy and Hong Kong Taxonomy.

Prior to joining the Sustainable Finance team, Jing Li was with the Sovereign Risk Group, where she supported the coverage of credit ratings of a portfolio of sovereigns, multilateral development banks and sub-sovereign entities in Asia Pacific. Before joining Moody's, Jing Li worked at an infrastructure indices provider, where she led a team of analysts covering infrastructure projects and markets across Europe and Asia Pacific. She also has prior experience in audit and accounting, covering firms in several sectors including energy, real estate and technology.

Jing Li holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Queensland and is a CPA.

Muhammad Rizal Azmi has close to two decades of experience across power, renewables and sustainability. Starting as a production engineer, he transitioned to business development at Malakoff Corporation, Malaysia’s largest power producer. Between 2015-2017, he undertook a passion project in organic farming, before returning to corporate business development roles. This includes venturing into the district cooling sector under the ENGIE Group, and eventually the solar sector under Plus Xnergy.

Rizal’s foray into the carbon industry started with him joining Bureau Veritas, a leading carbon validation & verification body (VVB). He currently heads the Business Development and Sales unit at Bursa Carbon Exchange (BCX), playing a key role in shaping the future of voluntary carbon and renewable energy certificates (RECs) trading. Rizal is an engineering graduate of University Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and holds a MicroMasters in Sustainable Energy from University of Queensland.

Dr Renard Siew is the Head of Corporate Sustainability for Yinson where he is responsible for advancing the organisation’s work in the field of climate change and sustainability.

Prior to this, he was involved in the implementation of the sustainability agenda for a number of public-listed corporations (Sime Darby, CIMB, MRCB) and was a researcher at the Centre for Energy and Environmental Markets (CEEM) contributing thought leadership in: sustainability/ integrated reporting, GHG reporting and verification, ESG integration, socially responsible investment (across different asset classes: equities, infrastructure and property/real estate), climate change and sustainable construction for the building/infrastructure sector. Renard is a graduate of Cambridge University and UNSW. In 2013, he was selected as one of 15 scholars to attend the PhD Academy at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). He has published in many international refereed journals. In 2014, he won a Highly Commended Paper award by the Emerald Literati Network and was inducted into the prestigious Global Young Academy as recognition of his research impact.

He was the Co-Chair of the Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management Working Committee and UNEP-FI’s Collective Commitment on Climate Action. In 2020, he was appointed an SDG Champion-Climate Action by the World Economic Forum (WEF). He is a member of the WEF Expert Network Group, serves on the WEF Global Future Council on SDG Investment. He was accepted into the Forbes Fellowship Programme and attended the inaugural UN Climate Action Summit in New York in 2019. He is currently the President of the Malaysia Carbon Market Association (MCMA) e looking into spurring the growth of the carbon markets nationally.

Prior to joining Moody’s, John was CEO of Visiondom ESG, an independent ESG consultancy in China, which helped institutional investors integrate ESG into their investment process. He also worked as an ESG specialist with Fidelity International’s Asia Stewardship and Sustainable Investing team, focusing on the Greater China and Oceania markets for five years. At Fidelity, he was closely involved in promoting ESG best practices in Asia and ESG integration, and had a special focus on corporate governance and carbon trading.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Singapore Management University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Before joining Moody’s, Zi worked in corporate coverage team of Societe Generale in Singapore, where he supported bankers in client relationship management and transaction origination. Zi has also worked in Credit Agricole CIB’s DCM team in Hong Kong.

Zi holds a Master of Science in Management from ESSEC Business School in France.
