Mariko Semetko is an Associate Managing Director for the Corporate Finance Group (CFG) for Moody’s Ratings. Based in Tokyo, she leads a team of analysts covering Japanese nonfinancial corporates and public infrastructure finance, and oversees the public sectors.

Prior to becoming a manager, Mariko was a lead analyst for a variety of corporates and utilities in Japan and the US. She has extensive experience both in the investment-grade and high-yield spaces. Mariko transferred to the Tokyo office in 2013 after working in the New York office since joining the company in 2006.

Dean Enjo is a Senior Analyst with the Corporate Finance Group of Moody’s Japan. He is a lead analyst for companies across a broad range of sectors including automobiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and retail products.

Dean has extensive work experience in the Japanese financial industry. Dean previously worked at Manulife Life Insurance Company Japan, where he was a fixed income portfolio manager for its general account investment division. Prior to that, he worked as an equity research analyst at CLSA Securities Japan / Credit Agricole Securities Japan and at a hedge fund focused on Japanese equities.

He holds a master’s degree from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from the University of Hertfordshire, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia.

Rene Lipsch is an Associate Managing Director in the Corporate Finance Group at Moody’s Ratings, where he heads the US Automotive, Transportation & Capital Goods team.

Prio to his current role, Rene was a Senior Vice President in the same group, with responsibility for a portfolio of investment-grade and high-yield US automotive and capital goods issuers, following earlier coverage of the transportation sector.

Before joining Moody’s in 2013, Rene spent nine years in investment banking in London, working in Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse and in Corporate Finance at Merrill Lynch. Earlier in his career, he was a Dutch and international tax advisor with Loyens & Loeff in Rotterdam and Hong Kong. 

Rene holds an M.Sc. in Finance from London Business School and a M.Sc. in Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Perrine is the lead analyst for European automakers and truck manufacturers. Prior roles at Moody’s included covering companies in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors and European banks. Before joining Moody’s in 2014, Perrine worked in M&A advisory for Natixis Partners in Paris where she was covering the small and mid-cap corporate market in France. Perrine holds a Master Degree from Dauphine University (Paris) and ESADE Business School (Barcelona).
