Donald is co-head of global banking and oversees the North American region for the ratings of banks, finance companies and securities firms. As a senior leader in Moody's financial institutions’ management team, Donald focuses on deepening analytical approaches and engagement, steering the franchise, engaging with developments in digital finance, and adapting processes, tools and workflow to address rapid digitalization and AI adoption.
Previously, Donald led a team of analysts covering a portfolio of global investment banks, specialty finance and securities firms in North America and Europe. He was also a lead analyst for securities firms and global investment banks. Donald started his Moody’s Ratings career as an accounting specialist, helping to educate analysts on matters of accounting and financial reporting.
Before joining Moody’s Ratings in 2007, Donald was a Director of Financial Audit at Siemens Corporation and an Audit Manager at PwC. Donald is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant and holds an undergraduate honors degree from the University of Glasgow.
