Shared new digital technology is driving convergence among once distinct areas of finance. As financial rails have been updated for blockchain based systems as well as AI tools, the growth of tokenized credit, the digitalization of sustainability-linked instruments, and the emergence of stablecoins as settlement tools have helped to erase boundaries among areas such as transition finance, emerging markets finance and private credit. Wee Kee is Executive Director and Global Head of Business Architecture for Kinexys Digital Payments at J.P. Morgan, where he is responsible for architecting business capabilities for digital payments, and developing strategies to address current needs and capture future opportunities. He works closely with the product team to develop product vision and strategies, and with the technology team on aligning technical solutions with business needs.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2022, Wee Kee was the Specialist Leader for Distributed Ledger Technology at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and led Project Ubin, a collaborative industry project exploring the use of blockchain and DLT for clearing and settlement of payments and securities. He was also Advisor at the BIS Innovation Hub, where he led Project Dunbar with a vision of enabling interoperable CBDCs and connected multi-CBDC platforms.
Reporting to the Global Head of Digital Assets & Financial Markets, Andrew leads the innovation and Advocacy efforts in North America. The group focuses on enabling strategic decisions through market intelligence and research on regulatory and industry trends and exploring emerging innovations and technologies with a focus on education, commercialization and experimentation. Andrew is responsible for supporting business unit strategy development in relation to market and technology innovation to drive profitable growth while also coordinating key industry associations and regulatory engagements aligned to the bank’s strategic innovation initiatives.
Andrew has over 30 years of experience at financial services institutions, major derivatives exchanges, clearinghouses and trading firms. He has been responsible for directing research on industry leading trends, functional design, testing and implementation support of industry leading technology and the digital transformation and globalization of traditional and digital infrastructure and client activities, leading to increased growth opportunities and client efficiencies.
Cristiano serves as Vice President of the DeFi & Digital Assets team at Moody's Ratings. His role entails the comprehensive analysis of emerging digital financial products and services, as well as overseeing the digital transition of traditional financial entities. He possesses a solid background in risk management, acquired through his tenure in various consulting and banking institutions. Before joining Moody's, Cristiano worked two years in the decentralized finance space, thereby solidifying his proficiency in the digital finance domain.
