Rebecca Tan is an Associate Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), based in Hong Kong SAR, China. She manages a team of analysts covering the ratings and research of Korean banks as well as Greater China and Korean non-bank financial institutions.
Rebecca joined Moody’s in 2015 as an Associate Analyst and has progressed through roles of increasing responsibility. During her tenure with FIG, she led ratings across banks and finance companies in key South and Southeast Asian economies, building strong relationships with issuers, regulators and investors throughout the region. She also authored high-profile research reports and represented Moody’s at media interviews and investor conferences.
From 2023 to 2025, Rebecca was part of the APAC Regional Management team, working closely with senior management to develop and execute Moody’s global strategy across the region. Her responsibilities included overseeing the operations of Moody's Ratings Singapore, managing relationships with Moody's affiliates and serving as a Non-Executive Director on the board of an affiliate’s subsidiary. Rebecca rejoined FIG in 2026.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Rebecca was a banking regulator at the Monetary Authority of Singapore. She has 15 years of experience in the financial industry.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honors) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is a Chartered Accountant.
Marat is a Vice President - Senior Analyst in the DeFi and Digital Assets team (DFDA), where his primary responsibilities include blockchain analysis, digital asset risk assessment, and integration of blockchain infrastructure. Since joining Moody’s in 2014, Marat has worked in areas of data management and data analytics. In his previous role, he successfully led a team of financial data analysts covering Structured Finance. Concurrently, he has been involved in the blockchain space since 2016. Marat holds a degree in Applied Mathematics and Master's in Economics.
Gil Jo is an Assistant Vice President - Analyst with Moody’s Ratings' Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for the ratings and research on insurance companies and non-bank financial institutions in Korea. Gil first joined Moody's in 2019 as an Associate Analyst, supporting the coverage of insurance companies and non-bank financial institutions in Korea.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Gil spent two years at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, where he was an internal auditor assessing the firm’s securities division, and also at Ernst &Young for a year, where he was a junior consultant under the risk advisory team. Gil is a CFA charterholder and holds a B.A. in Economics from New York University.
