Megan oversees the North American team responsible for the ratings and research of a portfolio spanning Canadian banks, US-based global investment and universal banks, securities firms, wealth managers, traditional asset managers and pension managers.

Before leading the team, Megan spent nearly 15 years as a Moody’s Ratings analyst covering a broad range of global investment, universal, US regional and community banks. Prior to joining Moody’s Ratings, Megan held positions at Freddie Mac, primarily within the Finance department. She holds an honors degree in economics and political science from the University of Delaware.

Gabriel covers a portfolio of securities firms and consumer finance companies. Previously, Gabriel was a Ratings Associate assisting with the analysis of global investment banks and securities firms.

Gabriel holds an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Connecticut.

Johannes covers a portfolio of US regional banks and business development companies.

Prior to joining Moody’s Ratings, Johannes was at another rating agency for 8 years as a lead analyst covering North American banks. Earlier in his career he was with Deloitte advising clients in the financial services sector both in the United States and South Africa as well as a 3-year stint at a boutique merchant bank focused on capital raising and M&A advisory. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a degree from Stellenbosch University in South Africa where he majored in mathematical statistics and financial engineering. He is a CFA charter-holder and a certified Financial Risk Manager.

Mike covers a portfolio of US banks and consumer finance companies.

Prior to joining Moody’s Ratings, Mike spent eight years as a lead analyst at another rating agency and fifteen years as a stock analyst, responsible for the coverage of several large banks and non-banks. Mike holds an MBA with a finance concentration from the University of Florida and received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Pace University.

30+ years’ professional experience (including 2+years at Moody’s Ratings)

Mark Zandi is chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, where he directs economic research. Moody’s Analytics, a subsidiary of Moody’s Corp., is a leading provider of economic research, data and analytical tools. Dr. Zandi cofounded Economy.com, which Moody’s purchased in 2005.

Dr. Zandi is on the board of directors of MGIC, the nation’s largest private mortgage insurance company, is the lead director of PolicyMap, a data visualization and analytics company used by policymakers and commercial businesses, and is a director of the Coleridge Initiative, a nonprofit that facilitates the exchange of data across governments.

He is a trusted adviser to policymakers and an influential source of economic analysis for businesses, journalists and the public. Dr. Zandi frequently testifies before Congress and conducts regular briefings on the economy for corporate boards, trade associations and policymakers at all levels. 

Dr. Zandi is the author of Paying the Price: Ending the Great Recession and Beginning a New American Century, which assesses the monetary and fiscal policy response to the Great Recession. His other book, Financial Shock: A 360º Look at the Subprime Mortgage Implosion, and How to Avoid the Next Financial Crisis, is described by The New York Times as the “clearest guide” to the financial crisis. Dr. Zandi is host of the Inside Economics podcast.
Dr. Zandi earned his BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his PhD at the University of Pennsylvania.

Robin covers a portfolio of banks and securities companies.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Robin worked at the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he primarily worked on banking policy matters, including rulemaking and interpretations, policy analysis, and transaction reviews. Robin also held roles in credit capacities at three investment banks. Robin received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College and is a CFA charter holder.
