| Alexander Zeidler is a Vice President - Senior Credit Officer at Moody’s in London. He coordinates Moody’s efforts in the Nordic covered bond markets Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and in the Baltic countries. Furthermore, he is responsible for a portfolio of covered bond programmes in Norway and Switzerland and was previously leading the analysis of the covered bond markets in Austria and Luxembourg. As a senior member of the analytical team, Alexander has coordinated and contributed to a number of publications and regularly speaks at investor and industry conferences. Prior to joining Moody’s EMEA Covered Bonds team in 2010, Alexander was responsible for a portfolio of CMBS transactions in the UK, France, the Netherlands and Germany for four years. Alexander started his career in commercial real estate finance, working for overten years as an underwriter, credit auditor and corporate analyst at UniCredit in Germany. Alexander also holds a MBA from a Fulbright program sponsored by the U.S. government at the University of Louisville, U.S.A. Moody’s has a leading global covered bond franchise, rating some US$2 trillion worth of covered bonds securities, which represents more than 80% of all public bonds issued globally in the sector. In total, over 20 senior analysts cover more than 200 covered bond programmes in over 30 countries globally. Moody’s EMEA Covered Bonds team is located in London, Madrid, Frankfurt and Paris. |
María Serrano is a senior commercial leader in Structured Finance and Head of Covered Bonds (EMEA) at Moody’s Ratings, where she drives business development, client strategy, and market expansion across the region.
With more than 25 years at Moody’s Ratings, María has played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s presence across European securitisation and Covered Bonds. Prior to leading the Covered Bond business, she was the key commercial lead for the Iberian market covering Banking, Corporate, and Sub-sovereign clients, where she developed strong client relationships and contributed significantly to franchise growth.
María began her career at Pearse Trust Limited in London, a specialist firm in corporate, trust, and tax services, where she spent three years working with international clients.
A senior Swiss finance professional with over 30 years of experience. Currently serving as Director at Pfandbriefzentrale der schweizerischen Kantonalbanken AG, Board Member of the SFAA / Swiss Financial Analysts Association, Board Member of AZEK, and Member of the Executive Committee of Swiss GAAP FER / Swiss Accounting Standard. He previously held various positions at Zürcher Kantonalbank, including Equity Analyst, Head of Equity Research, Head of Research, and Key Account Manager for Institutional & Multinational Swiss clients. Earlier positions include Strategic Controlling at Drägerwerk AG and Equity Analyst at Bank am Bellevue.
Paul Oates is the Head of Rating Advisory at UBS Investment Bank, based in London. Paul has worked at UBS since 2011, focusing on advising banks and insurers on their credit ratings. Paul was part of the team at UBS which advised LPBI on their inaugural covered bond issue earlier in 2026. Prior to joining UBS Paul was a Senior Credit Officer at Moody’s, focusing on EMEA financial institutions.
