Saranga Ranasinghe VP-Senior Analyst, Corporate Finance Group Moody's Ratings

Saranga Ranasinghe is a Vice President - Senior analyst in the Moody’s Corporate Finance Group, based in Sydney. She covers mainly the Australian Real Estate Investment Trusts (A-REITs) and corporates in the construction and building products sector. Saranga was also based in the Singapore office covering the property developers, IT companies and real estate investment trusts in South East Asia.

Saranga moved back to Sydney in mid-2019, following 3 years in Singapore. 

Prior to moving to Singapore she spent 7 years in Sydney covering mostly natural resources companies. Prior to joining Moody’s, Saranga spent 5 years as a credit analyst in Sri Lanka. 

Saranga is a CFA charter holder. She also holds a Bachelor of Business (Hons) from the University of Wisconsin - Superior in the U.S

Kelly Chen VP-Senior Analyst, Corporate Finance Group Moody's Ratings

Kelly Chen is a Vice President and Senior Analyst within Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Hong Kong, Kelly is the lead analyst for a portfolio of Chinese property companies.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Kelly was an investment analyst at Optimas Capital, a Hong Kong-based hedge fund. She has also worked as an equity research analyst in Credit Suisse, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Samsung Securities. She has considerable experience in investment and equity research and across various sectors in Greater China, including oil & gas, property, cement and financial institutions.

Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College, US.

Stephanie Lau VP-Senior Credit Officer, Corporate Finance Group Moody's Ratings

Stephanie Lau is a Vice President–Senior Credit Officer for the Corporate FinanceGroup in Asia. Based in Hong Kong, she covers mainly a portfolio of Hong Kong property companies. She has also covered other non-property sectors, including gaming, education, manufacturing, and logistics.  

Stephanie has over fifteen years of experience as an equity research analyst. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2015, Stephanie was a Vice President at Mirae AssetSecurities in Hong Kong, where she was the Lead Analyst for the China property sector. 

Stephanie has also worked as a sell-side equity analyst at MainFirst Securities in Hong Kong, CLSA Asia Pacific Markets in Shanghai, and Lehman Brothers in New York. 

Stephanie holds an MA from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced InternationalStudies at Johns Hopkins University, where she specialized in China Studies and International Economics. She also holds a BA in International Studies from JohnsHopkins University.

Yu Sheng Tay Analyst, Corporate Finance Group Moody's Ratings

Yu Sheng Tay is an Analyst with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group.

Based in Singapore, he covers a portfolio of real estate, gaming and consumer products in Southeast Asia. Yu Sheng joined Moody’s in 2018 as an Associate Analyst and previously covered a range of industries including metals & mining, technology, and property.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Yu Sheng worked as a credit analyst, covering the construction and logistics sectors. Yu Sheng holds a postgraduate degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Koji Maejima Analyst, Corporate Finance Group Moody’s Ratings

Koji Maejima is an Analyst with Moody’s Investors Service’s Corporate Finance Group.

Based in Tokyo, he is the lead analyst for Japanese corporate finance companies, including trading, manufacturing and real estate companies. Prior to his current role, he was an Associate Analyst with the Financial Institutions Group for four years, covering Japanese banks, securities firms, finance companies and insurance companies; and a Lead Financial Data Analyst with the Corporate Finance Group for over a year.

Koji has many years of experience in credit and corporate finance. Before joining Moody’s, he worked for Bacardi Japan Limited as a finance analyst. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Intercultural Communication from Hosei University, and is a US CPA holder.

Mariano Ferreyra Analyst, Corporate Finance Group Moody's Ratings

Mariano Ferreyra joined Moody’s in Sydney in 2022 and is an Associate Analyst, covering Regional and Local governments, and Higher Education and Corporate issuers across Australia. Prior to joining Sydney’s office, Mariano was an Associate Analyst at Moody’s in Buenos Aires, Argentina, supporting the Corporate Finance Group across a wide range of industries. Mariano holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Buenos Aires School of Economics, Argentina.
