The event will kick off with an exciting leadership spotlight with John Hope Bryant, CEO of Operation Hope. The conversation will cover Operation Hope's guiding principles and mission and explore John's career journey and commitment to fostering financial empowerment in underserved communities.
Subsequently, Moody’s executives and industry professionals will engage in what we expect to be a thought-provoking panel discussion on transition finance and the path to net zero. During the panel, Moody’s executives and industry professionals will discuss the impact of transition risk on credit, the critical role of transition finance in mitigating against the impacts of climate change, and how the move toward a more sustainable, low-carbon future can help build growing and inclusive economies.

Rebecca is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Sustainable Finance group, where she leads thought leadership on the impact of environmental, social and governance factors on credit and capital markets. In her role, Rebecca is responsible for the coordination and execution of the Sustainable Finance group’s thematic research program and market outreach activities. She also serves as a visible subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders and supports outreach and engagement with strategic partners.
Prior to joining the ESG team, Rebecca was a member of the Strategy and Research team at MIS, where she led cross-sector research and analytics on the credit implications of key macroeconomic and policy developments in North America. Rebecca first joined Moody’s in 2011 as an associate analyst in the Sovereign Risk Group.
She holds a dual Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University (SIPA), in New York, and Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po), in Paris, as well as a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
Simone Andrews is a Senior Responsible Investment Manager at APG Asset Management in New York, where she leads engagement and research on sustainability and human rights with US companies. She integrates ESG considerations into investment strategies and supports APG's impact investment and leadership in green, social, and sustainability bonds. Before joining APG in 2021, Simone built Bloomberg Intelligence’s ESG research and data offerings and was an Analyst at Moody’s Ratings, contributing to global ESG frameworks and green bond research. She holds a cum laude degree from the University of Southern California and a Master of Public Administration from New York University.
Kojo Ampaw is an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Group, focusing on sustainable finance. Previously, Kojo was a Vice President in Bank of America’s Energy Services Group and served as a policy analyst at the Office of Management and Budget during the Obama Administration. Kojo holds a Master of Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Science from New York State University at Albany.
Ian leads the Climate Services team who provide services to help investors and other market actors to employ Climate Bonds criteria and methods in their business. He comes from Sustainalytics where he led the commercial development of their labelled bond and corporate ESG solutions business from 2018 to 2023 and years before that in electrical equipment, solar and time before that in International Development.
John is the Co-Founder and Senior Managing Partner of Phalanx and has over twenty years of financial services experience. Phalanx is focused on supporting climate and sustainability businesses with a combination of capital and advisory services, with a particular focus on the commercial development of emerging technologies. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and a Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners, representing clients in the energy, power, and renewables sectors on transactions worth over $100 billion. John is also a private investor with interests in waste-to-value, hospitality, and real estate. He serves on the Board of Directors of Literacy Inc. in New York City and lives in Westchester with his family.
Tiphany Lee-Allen leads Assessment Product Management at Moody's Ratings, overseeing strategy development, enhancement, and delivery of the Global Assessment Product suite. Tiphany engages with market participants and stakeholders to drive product and process improvements. Her remit includes sustainable finance products, money market fund assessments, bond fund assessments, transition finance, digital finance, and cyber. Previously, Tiphany led business development for the US Financial Institutions Group and was a Vice President-Senior Analyst in the U.S. Public, Project and Infrastructure Finance Group. She holds a Master in Public Finance from New York University and a BA from Spelman College.
John Hope Bryant is an American entrepreneur, prominent thought leader, author, philanthropist, and a leading expert in financial literacy and economic inclusion. Referred to as the “conscience of capitalism” by numerous Fortune 500 CEOs, Bryant is the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Operation HOPE, Inc. the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of financial literacy services for youth and adults. Bryant is also chairman and chief executive officer of John Hope Bryant Holdings, Bryant Group Ventures, and Bryant Group Advisors. Until June 2024, he was the Executive Chairman of The Promise Homes Company, which is the largest for-profit minority-controlled owner of institutional-quality, single-family residential rental homes in the United States. John Hope Bryant is responsible for financial literacy becoming the official policy of the U.S. federal government. Bryant is the former Vice-Chairman of the U.S. President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy, he was named in 2024 by TIME Magazine to their inaugural list of The Closers, 18 global leaders working to close the racial wealth gap, he is a CNBC Contributor, host of the iHeart Radio podcast, “Money and Wealth with John Hope Bryant,” a member of the CNBC Global Financial Wellness Council and the CNBC CEO Council, and a best-selling author of six books, including Financial Literacy For All, released April 2024. He is one of the only bestselling authors on economics and business leadership in the world today who is African American.
Gregory Robinson is a Managing Director and Head of Relationship Management, North America for Moody’s Ratings. In this role, he leads a team of over 50+ professionals – in both account management and business development -- across all lines of business, including Corporates, Financial Institutions, Public Finance, Project & Infrastructure and Structured Finance. Greg is responsible for driving sales growth across North America, developing and implementing strategic sales plans aligned with corporate goals, which includes identifying key growth opportunities and ensuring the sales team is effectively targeting these opportunities.
Prior to Moody’s Ratings, he worked in multiple roles at Moody’s – covering areas such as MA acquisition integration frameworks, market intelligence and sales development, leadership and management. Prior to Moody’s, Greg spent over 15 years in the financial services industry in such areas as municipal investment banking, residential mortgages and fixed income institutional sales (at Morgan Stanley, UBS, and the Royal Bank of Scotland).
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University (2001) and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School (2010). Greg also holds the following charters/ designations: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He resides in New Jersey with his wife (Irma) and two daughters (Isabel & Mia).
