Mohsen Rahnama is the senior executive for Moody’s RMS models and data products, as well as the Chief Risk Modeling Officer. He leads a global team of scientists, engineers, and product managers responsible for the development and delivery of all RMS catastrophe models and data.
During his 25 years at Moody’s RMS, Mohsen has been the passionate and hands-on leader of the largest and most global team of catastrophe modeling professionals in the industry across over two dozen fields of study. He is the publisher of the Moody’s RMS Horizons series of modeling papers, has authored numerous scientific publications, leads many research collaborations throughout the world, and is a frequent speaker at scientific and risk management industry events.
He has over 35 years of experience in structural engineering, catastrophe modeling, and risk assessment. He holds a master’s degree and doctorate in earthquake and structural engineering from Stanford University.
Raj Vojjala is the head of vulnerability & exposure modeling at Moody's RMS. He leads a global team of engineers, scientists, and modelers responsible for damage quantification across all RMS probabilistic risk models for wildfire, hurricane, earthquake, flood, tornado, hail, and specialty risks. He also leads the exposure and geospatial modeling teams at Moody's RMS responsible for R&D on economic and insured exposure data for property, casualty, auto, and terrorism lines.
Over the last 17 years at Moody's RMS, Raj has been involved in the design & development of many of RMSÕ flagship probabilistic risk models such as its North America Hurricane, Offshore Energy, Global Marine Cargo, and US Flood models, etc. More recently, he co-led the development of RMSÕ high-definition North America Wildfire model.
Raj has authored several scientific publications, led numerous post-disaster field investigations and research collaboration projects with partners in the cat modeling domain. Raj did his Masters in Structural Engineering from Stanford University and is a frequent speaker at risk management industry events.
Arno Hilberts is a Senior Director Manager in Analytics and Modeling at Moody’s. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, focusing on analytics, risk management, and model development. Arno leads a team of analysts who develop and validate risk models used across Moody’s product suite. He holds a MSc in Applied Mathematics from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from the University of Amsterdam.
