Tobias Adrian is the Financial Counsellor and Director of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In this capacity, he leads the IMF’s work on financial sector surveillance, monetary and macro prudential policies, financial regulation, bank resolution, debt management, and capital markets. He also oversees capacity building activities in IMF member countries with regard to the supervision and regulation of financial systems, bank resolution, central banking, monetary and exchange rate regimes, and debt management.
Prior to joining the IMF, Mr. Adrian was a Senior Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Associate Director of the Research and Statistics Group. Mr. Adrian has published extensively in economics and finance journals, his research spans asset pricing, financial institutions, monetary policy, and financial stability, with a focus on aggregate consequences of capital markets developments. Mr. Adrian holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MSc from the London School of Economics in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics.
Kelvin Lei is the CEO and co-founder of AQUMON as well as a member of the Financial Technology Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission. AQUMON’s mission is to leverage smart technology to make next-generation investment services accessible to everyone. Kelvin currently directs AQUMON’s product development and go-to-market strategy. In addition he leads the Institutional Client Group in expanding client coverage in Hong Kong, China and overseas.
Prior to co-founding AQUMON, Kelvin was a Vice President of Deutsche Bank’s Institutional Client Group with over 10 years of Fixed Income Sales & Trading expertise. Kelvin has helped financial institutions and corporations allocate over USD10 billion into global assets. He also spent time in Credit Suisse and CICC, where he acted as the sole coverage for China Merchant Bank and covered top-tier asset managers such as PIMCO and BlackRock respectively. Kelvin obtained a Master in Finance degree from University of International Business & Economics in Beijing, China.
Xiong Yi joined Deutsche Bank in September 2018. He possess more than 20 years of working experience on cash and liquidity product management as well as advisory related positions in various foreign financial institutions including HSBC, RBS & JP Morgan. He has in-depth understanding of China regulatory landscape / industrial best practice related to cash and liquidity management area. He is experienced to advise complex in-country, regional cash/liquidity structures for multi-national corporate and large local corporate.
David Yin is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer with the Financial Institutions Group at Moody’s Investors Service Hong Kong Limited. David is covering a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions in China.
Before joining Moody’s, David worked as equity research analyst for Standard Chartered Bank, covering Chinese banks and securities companies. Earlier, he had covered Chinese financial institutions in Bank of China International Securities (China). He had also worked in the ECM department of Goldman Sachs Gao Hua Securities.
David holds a MSc in management and a BA in Economics from Peking University.
