Pranjul Bhandari is Chief India and Indonesia Economist and Managing Director at HSBC since 2014. Prior to joining HSBC, Pranjul completed a resident fellowship at the IMF in Washington DC, and a Mason Fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Previously, she worked at India's Ministry of Finance and at the Planning Commission. She has held roles as an economist covering Asian markets at Goldman Sachs and at UK's Department for International Development. In 2019, she was a member of the RBI’s committee for developing India’s Housing Finance market. In 2020, she was named the “Best Individual for Research in India” by the Asset Magazine and featured in Forbes’ list of 20 self-made Indian women.
Pranjul holds a Masters in Economics degree from the University of Cambridge (UK) as well as the Harvard Kennedy School (US); and a BA in Economics degree from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi.
Virender Pankaj comes with over 30 years of rich experience in the Project, Corporate and Structured Finance. He has been associated with Aseem Infrastructure Finance Limited (AIFL) since inception in FY 2021. In less than 2 years of time, AIFL has established itself as one of the fastest growing infra finance company, with an asset book of more than INR 7,000 Crore, with Green Energy assets contributing to ~45% of the book. The company also achieved a liability position in the market, with more than INR 5000 crores raised for FY 2022.
Prior to joining AIFL, he was associated with L&T Infrastructure Finance Limited and State Bank of India in project finance, project appraisal, working capital, corporate and structured finance. In his previous assignment, he managed an asset book of ~ 50000 Crore in areas of Infrastructure Finance, Structured Corporate Finance and Supply Chain Finance and built a leadership position in green energy financing.
A BFSI veteran, Mr Tata has over 35 years of experience, including 27 years with HDFC Bank.
Mr. Tata began his career in 1987 as a Consultant in Strategic Consultants Pvt Ltd. In 1989, he joined Apple Industries Ltd where the last position held was Head – Wholesale Leasing.
He joined HDFC Bank in 1994 as a Relationship Manager in the Corporate Banking Department. Over the years, he rose through the ranks to Head the Corporate Banking Department. In June 2013, he was appointed as Chief Risk Officer of HDFC Bank.
Mr. Jimmy Tata has completed his Master of Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management. He’s also a Chartered Financial Analyst from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India.
Mr. Pritesh Vinay is a B.E. (Computer Science & Engineering) from Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri and Master of Management Studies (Finance) from Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University. He has around 21 years of rich and varied professional experience across Corporate Finance, Fund Raising (both onshore and offshore), Investor Relations, M&A and Equity Research, having worked with reputed Indian and Multinational corporations. Prior to JSW group he worked with Goldman Sachs (India) Securities Private Limited and the Aditya Birla Group.
Mr. Pritesh Vinay has been the Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Person of the Company with effect from 16th September, 2020, and elevated to the Board as a Whole Time Director designated as Director (Finance) in March 2022. He has worked with the JSW Group for the past 10 years and prior to joining the Company as the Chief Financial Officer, he was Vice President – Corporate Finance with JSW Steel Limited and Head – Group Investor Relations for the JSW Group.
Rajiv Anand, 57 years, with an illustrious career spanning more than 30 years has focused on various facets of the financial services industry. Having held key management positions at leading global financial institutions, he is widely recognized for his strengths in capital markets and for successfully building new businesses to scale.
Rajiv joined Axis AMC in 2009 and was the founding Managing Director & CEO of Axis Asset Management Co. Ltd. He was appointed as the President (Retail Banking) of Axis Bank in May 2013, to spearhead the business with his sharp acumen which led to the achievement of several key milestones. Subsequently, he was inducted onto the Board of the Bank in May 2016. He took over as the Head – Wholesale Banking in 2018 to steer the business ahead, ensuring both growth and sustainability. He is now the Deputy Managing Director of the Bank, w.e.f 27th December 2021, leading some of the most critical functions, including Wholesale Banking and Digital Banking, along with support functions like Marketing and Corporate Communications.
He is a Member of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, Stakeholders Relationship Committee and the Committee of Whole Time Directors of the Bank. He is the Chairman on the Board of Axis Securities Limited and A. Treds Limited. He is the Co-Chair of the Banking Taskforce at CII - Western region, a member of the National Committee on Banking at CII and holds several key positions in other committees and industry bodies.
Rajiv Anand is a Commerce graduate and a Chartered Accountant by qualification.
Ms Samita Shah is currently Vice President - Corporate Finance, Treasury & Risk Management. Samita looks after the financing requirements of Tata Steel Group. She is also the Chief Risk Officer for Tata Steel and has spearheaded the implementation of an enterprise-wise risk management process across Tata Steel Group.
Samita serves on the Boards of several subsidiaries of Tata Steel including Tata Bluescope Pvt. Ltd., Tata Metaliks Ltd., Jamipol Ltd., Tata Steel SEZ Ltd., Tata Steel Minerals Canada Ltd. and Abja Investment Pte Ltd.
Samita joined Tata Steel in 2012. She has 20 years of experience in investment banking and has led several IPOs, bond issues, project financing, private equity and M&A transactions for Indian and multinational companies. Samita has done her graduation in BA (Economics) from Mumbai University and is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.
Mr. B. Prasanna is Group Head - Global Markets - Sales, Trading and Research at ICICI Bank Ltd. He is responsible for Economic research, trading, market-making and sales/distribution of all treasury products relating to fixed income, foreign exchange and derivatives. He joined the bank in November 2016 and prior to this appointment was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICICI Securities Primary Dealership (I-Sec PD). He has rich experience in the Indian Treasury markets and has been instrumental in contributing to a number of developmental efforts with respect to development of the Indian Institutional market. He has been a part of various committees formed by RBI, SEBI and FIMMDA for the development of new products in India.
He is currently the Vice Chairman of FIMMDA (Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association of India), Additional Vice Chairman of FEDAI (Foreign Exchange Dealers Association of India), Director on the Board of ICICI Securities Ltd and the Chairman of I-SEC PD. He has been appointed by SEBI as a Member of the Working Group for recommending reforms in the corporate bond market and by RBI as a Member on MIBOR Benchmark Committee.
He is a Chartered and Cost Account and a member of the CFA institute.
L Shivakumar is an Executive Vice President – Business Development and Chief Business Officer at ICRA. In his current role, he has a countrywide responsibility of originating new businesses and serving the existing clientele for ICRA's ratings and research products. He has over 32 years of work experience, of which nearly 28 years have been with ICRA. Shiv started off as an analyst in ICRA and has led analytical teams for more than 10 years - covering a wide variety of sectors and companies. Shiv has also effectively engaged with regulatory authorities in his earlier role at ICRA.
Prior to Joining ICRA, Shiv worked as a Management Consultant with A F Ferguson & Co. He worked with MECON Limited as an Assistant Construction Engineer prior to his post-graduation. Shiv holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and has done his Post Graduate Diploma in Management (equivalent to an MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
Laura Acres is Managing Director for the Corporate Finance Group for Asia. Based in Singapore, she has overall responsibility for Moody’s corporate ratings and research for the region, managing teams in Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo. Laura also spearheads our global Emerging Markets initiative, leading many of our aggregated research based publications in this space and helping to coordinate Moody’s approach to this large and growing area of focus. Laura joined the company in 2006 taking a number of Lead Analyst roles for a variety of corporates around the region; she also created Moody’s aggregated high-yield research and outreach initiatives for the Asia Pacific region. She was appointed Managing Director in 2015 and led the Singapore based South & South East Asia corporate rating teams and was then appointed to her current role in 2020. Before joining Moody’s, Laura worked for Schroders PLC in London and Singapore, and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in Singapore, where she specialized in corporate restructuring and recovery throughout Southeast Asia. Laura holds a BSc (Econ) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Rahul Ghosh is Managing Director – Global Head of Sustainable Finance for Moody's Ratings.
Rahul leads global oversight for the credit rating agency’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) research and outreach strategy. In this capacity, he is responsible for co-ordinating high quality and impactful research exploring the credit implications of ESG, as well as digital and in-person outreach to meet the growing market needs of investors, issuers and other important stakeholders.
Rahul is a regular participant at high-profile industry working groups, market briefings, external conferences and media engagements. He is a member of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, a market-led initiative to develop a risk management and disclosure framework for nature-related risks. He has also represented Moody’s on the UN Principles for Responsible Investment's advisory committee on credit ratings and the Green and Social Bond Principles working groups. He has presented on the impact of climate change on emerging market sovereigns at the G20 Green Finance Study Group and on sustainable finance trends at the International Finance Corporation’s Global Debt Mobilization Conference.
Before his current role, Rahul oversaw Moody’s ESG Solutions Group outreach and engagement activities globally with the sustainability stakeholder community. He also previously worked in Moody’s Credit Strategy & Research team where he was responsible for thematic research and outreach on global emerging market (EM) credit trends. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2013, Rahul was the Head of Asia at BMI Research (Fitch Solutions) in Singapore, leading a team of macroeconomists and industry specialists in analysing sovereign risk, sector performance and the capital markets.
Rahul is a passionate impact leader for Moody’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in London, chairing the pillar on “activating an environmentally sustainable future”. He holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Society of the UK.
Vikash Halan is a Managing Director and team leader for Moody’s Corporate Finance Group, based in Singapore. In this role, he manages a team of rating analysts covering non-financial corporates in Asia Pacific excluding greater China.
Vikash joined Moody’s in 2011 and, prior to becoming a team leader, spent almost a decade as a lead analyst covering a range of sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, shipping, conglomerates, real estate and investment holding companies.
Before joining Moody’s, Vikash worked for J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong as a capital markets and ratings advisor for clients in the Asia-Pacific region. He started his career as a chartered accountant with the Indian firm, BDO Lodha.
Vikash holds post graduate diploma in Business management form Xavier Institute of Management.
Gene Fang is an Associate Managing Director in the Sovereign and sub-sovereign Ratings Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, he manages the teams responsible for sovereign credit ratings in the Asia Pacific region and credit research on Chinese regional- and local governments.
Before joining Moody’s, Gene worked as an investment banker, covering financial institutions for J.P. Morgan and Citigroup in Hong Kong and Singapore. In this role, he managed client relationships across Asia and advised on debt, equity, and M&A transactions. Gene graduated from Columbia University in political science. He also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Alka Anbarasu is an Associate Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, Alka is responsible for Moody's analytical teams covering ratings and research on banks, insurance companies, and non-bank financial institutions in Japan, ASEAN and Indian Sub-continent. Alka also coordinates the Global Financial Institution Group's efforts on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) scoring and research. Alka is a regular speaker at Moody's market briefings, external conferences podcasts and broadcast media. She is very active in promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and is a passionate impact leader for Moody's Community Impact initiatives in Asia.
Alka joined Moody's in 2013 and over the years has led the ratings of several high profile Asian financial institutions. Prior to joining Moody's, she worked in the investment banking division of J.P. Morgan in London and Mumbai and ING Vysya Bank in India. She has close to 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Alka holds an MBA from the Xavier Institute of Management in India.
Aditi Nayar is ICRA’s Chief Economist and Head - Research & Outreach. She leads Indian economic, state finances as well as cross-sectoral research at ICRA Ltd. Her focus areas include macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, policy assessment as well as fiscal analysis and debt sustainability at the sovereign and sub-sovereign level. She has been a part of several credit rating exercises for sub-sovereign debt in India, including debt raised by state governments, state-owned entities spanning sectors such as irrigation, power, industrial and infrastructure development, pooled finance entities raising funds for urban infrastructure, as well as urban local bodies.
Aditi has an overall work experience of 17 years, out of which 15 years have been with ICRA. Previously she has had a stint with the World Bank as a research analyst where her focus was on fiscal and macroeconomic issues. Aditi has been named as one of the top forecasters of India by Bloomberg in the past.
Aditi has an M.Phil. degree in Economics from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Psychology from Indiana University, Bloomington.
Ravichandran has an aggregate work experience of around 28 years, out of which he has been with ICRA Limited, for a period of around 25 years. He currently heads the entire analytical team in ICRA, comprising Corporate, Financial and Structured Finance sectors. He also oversees the functioning of the Rating Committees in ICRA. His other responsibilities include regulatory interactions and credit policy reviews. He is a regular speaker in industry conferences and has also been interviewed by leading business news channels. He has also authored various research pieces on Indian credits.
He holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai and a MBA from Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Trichy. He also holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) charter awarded by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), USA.
Mr. Karthik Srinivasan is Senior Vice President and Group Head – Financial Sector Ratings at ICRA Limited.
He holds a B.E. degree in Electronics Engineering from the K J Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai University, and a Masters in Management Studies (Finance) from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University. He also holds the CFA charter awarded by the CFA Institute, USA.
Karthik has an aggregate work experience of around 23 years, out of which he has been associated with ICRA for nearly 20 years.
Shamsher is Senior Vice President & Group Head at ICRA and has been in the rating agency for over 15 years now. Based out of Gurgaon, Shamsher is part of the Corporate Ratings group and covers Automotive and Logistics sectors.
He is also part of ICRA's Credit Rating Committee and has extensive experience of evaluating performance of companies across various sectors including Automotive, Logistics, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Travel & Tourism and Consumer Products. Shamsher has worked on various credit assignments for leading companies rated by ICRA and has been instrumental in developing ICRA's research offerings.
He is MBA in Finance & Capital Markets from Narsee Monjee Mumbai.
Christian de Guzman is a Senior Vice President with Moody’s Sovereign and Sub-Sovereign Risk Group. Based in Singapore, he covers a portfolio of sovereigns and multilateral development banks in Asia Pacific, including Japan, India and a number of Southeast Asian credits, while also managing the team responsible for sub-sovereign ratings in Asia ex-China.
Christian joined Moody’s in 2009, after working as a Senior Economist for the Monetary Authority of Singapore, covering ASEAN economies. He has also held various positions with the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC, and Procter & Gamble in Singapore.
Christian was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate in Economics and Political Science at the University of Georgia and received his M.A. in International Economics and Southeast Asian Studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
Ray Tay is a Senior Vice President and team leader for Moody’s Project and Infrastructure Finance team for South and South East Asia. In this role, based in Singapore, he oversees the ratings team responsible for Moody’s extensive coverage across the project finance and infrastructure sectors, including transport infrastructure, power & utilities, and credit enhanced issuances.
Ray also authors research and speaks on topics such as project bonds and the role of funding diversity and credit enhancement in bridging the infrastructure gap, particularly in emerging markets. Ray is also a member of Moody’s Physical Climate Risks Working Groups.
Before joining Moody’s in 2012, Ray was a Director with the Global Infrastructure & Projects Group in KPMG. Ray has also worked as a Senior Business Analyst with the Singapore Power Group, focusing on regulatory economics in each of its principal local operating subsidiaries.
Ray holds a Bachelor’s in Economics with honors from the National University of Singapore.
Kaustubh Chaubal is a Senior Vice President with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Singapore, he covers a portfolio of Indian and India-based issuers in the metals and mining (ferrous and non-ferrous), automobile, chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2015, Kaustubh spent eight years as a Ratings Advisor with Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, the last two of which was as Head of ASEAN Ratings Advisory, while also covering issuers in the Middle East and Africa.
Kaustubh has also worked as a Senior Analyst at Standard & Poor’s India-based subsidiary, CRISIL, covering a broad array of industries including pharmaceuticals, building materials, chemicals, and investment holding companies. And, he has previously held analytical roles at ING Vysya Bank and Unit Trust of India Investment Advisory Services, as well as auditing roles at RM Ajgaonkar & Company and RD Samant & Company.
Kaustubh holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University. He is also a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Abhishek Tyagi is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer with Moody’s Project and Infrastructure Finance Group, based in Singapore. He covers companies in the port, airport and utility sectors in India and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Abhishek worked for eight years as an equity analyst with CLSA in Mumbai, covering Indian utilities and infrastructure companies. Previous positions also included an investment analyst at B&K Securities in Mumbai and a supply chain analyst with Tata Steel in Jamshedpur.
Abhishek holds an MBA from the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar and a Bachelor of Technology (Metallurgy and Material Science) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee.
Srikanth Vadlamani is a Vice President – Group Credit Officer, APAC Banking for the Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, he is primarily responsible for the credit ratings of banks and finance companies in India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
Prior to joining Moody’s, he was a Director in Daiwa Securities’ research department in Singapore, where he was responsible for the coverage of banks in the ASEAN region. He has also worked for other investment banks, including J.P. Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Nomura, where he covered banks and other financial institutions in India, Southeast Asia and emerging Europe.
Srikanth holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, majoring in Finance and Economics.
Rebecca Tan is an Vice President – Senior Analyst for the Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, Rebaca is responsible for the credit ratings of financial institutions in Vietnam and Thailand.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Rebaca worked as a banking regulator at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Rebaca holds a Bachelor in Accountancy (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University.
