Motoki Yanase is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group, covering a portfolio of US automotive manufacturing, car rental services and heavy manufacturing companies. Immediately prior to his current role, Motoki was covering a portfolio of US packaging and building products companies.
Prior to joining Corporate Finance Group in New York in 2021, Motoki covered Japanese companies in the automotive, telecommunications, technologies and beverage industries in Moody’s Japan for six years. Motoki also held credit positions at
Goldman Sachs and Aozora Bank, and, prior to these positions, he was an analyst at Moody’s Japan, covering industries including paper, specialty steel and non-ferrous metals.
He holds a BA from Keio University in Japan and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago.

Mihoko Manabe is Associate Managing Director of Moody’s Japan Kabushiki Kaisha. Based in Tokyo, Mihoko heads a team of Corporate Finance, Infrastructure Finance and Sub-sovereign analysts. She oversees ratings and research on over 100 Japanese issuers across a wide range of industrial, utility and public sectors and serves as rating committee chair. Mihoko is also a member of Moody’s Japan’s Board of Directors and Oversight Committee.
Prior to her appointment to her current position in 2017, Mihoko worked at Moody’s New York headquarters, where she was responsible for the ratings of North American utilities and energy companies and authored rating methodologies and global sector research.
Mihoko holds a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Wellesley College. A Chartered Financial Analyst, she is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Japan.
Yukiko Asanuma is an Analyst with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Tokyo, she covers a portfolio of Japanese corporates in various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, utility, and business & consumer service. Before joining Moody’s, Yukiko worked for Tokyo Shoko Research as a Research Writer for the Dun & Bradstreet credit report. Yukiko holds a B.A. from Hosei University in Tokyo.

Mariko Semetko is an Associate Managing Director for the Corporate Finance Group (CFG) for Moody’s Ratings. Based in Tokyo, she leads a team of analysts covering Japanese nonfinancial corporates and public infrastructure finance, and oversees the public sectors.
Prior to becoming a manager, Mariko was a lead analyst for a variety of corporates and utilities in Japan and the US. She has extensive experience both in the investment-grade and high-yield spaces. Mariko transferred to the Tokyo office in 2013 after working in the New York office since joining the company in 2006.
Dean Enjo is a Senior Analyst with the Corporate Finance Group of Moody’s Japan. He is a lead analyst for companies across a broad range of sectors including automobiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and retail products.
Dean has extensive work experience in the Japanese financial industry. Dean previously worked at Manulife Life Insurance Company Japan, where he was a fixed income portfolio manager for its general account investment division. Prior to that, he worked as an equity research analyst at CLSA Securities Japan / Credit Agricole Securities Japan and at a hedge fund focused on Japanese equities.
He holds a master’s degree from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from the University of Hertfordshire, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia.
Ryohei Nishio is a Vice President - Senior Analyst with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Tokyo, he covers a portfolio of Japanese corporates in various sectors, including telecom, beverage, and manufacturing.
Before joining Moody’s, Ryohei worked for J.P. Morgan in Tokyo as a Credit Officer, covering a wide range of large Japanese corporate clients. Prior to that, he started his career at Rating and Investment Information, Inc. as a Rating Analyst.
Ryohei holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Management from Hitotsubashi University. He is a CFA charterholder, and a member of the CFA Society Japan.
Yukiko Asanuma is an Analyst with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Tokyo, she covers a portfolio of Japanese corporates in various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, utility, and business & consumer service. Hiroe Yamamoto is an AVP- Analyst in the Public Infrastructure Finance department. Based in Tokyo, she manages a portfolio of regional/local governments and government-related issuers in Japan.
Hiroe joined Moody’s in 2015 as an Associate Analyst supporting the analysis of Japanese sub-sovereigns and publishing research on the sector. She also covered utilities, auto and other major corporates. Prior to that, Hiroe analyzed Japanese public sector entities at Credit Foncier and Dexia Credit Local in Tokyo.
Hiroe holds a Bachelor’s degree from Sophia University.
