Sandra Veseli Managing Director, Corporate Finance Moody's Investors Service

Sandra Veseli is a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance Group at Moody’s Investors Service in London, leading the UK corporate and EMEA leveraged finance franchise.

Sandra joined Moody’s in 2013, bringing 20 years of banking experience. Prior to Moody’s, Sandra worked at Credit Suisse, where she was the Head of Rating Advisory for EMEA since 2010, after holding senior positions in the rating advisory teams at Morgan Stanley and Citi.

Sandra began her career at Dresdner Bank in Germany.

Sandra holds a Diploma from the Frankfurt Business School of Finance & Management.

Sebastien Cieniewski Vice President - Senior Credit Officer, Corporate Finance Group Moody's Investors Service

Sebastien is part of the EMEA Corporate Finance Group based in Poland. His current portfolio focuses on oil and chemical companies. Until 2022, Sebastien was based in London covering European telecommunications and media issuers and prior to that was responsible for a portfolio of mainly European high yield issuers operating in industries including payment solutions, business and consumer services, equipment and transportation rental services, and retail. 

Prior to re-joining Moody’s in 2011, Sebastien was an analyst within the credit team at LGT Capital Partners (fund of hedge funds based in Switzerland), where he monitored a portfolio of investments in distressed credit/special situations hedge funds.

Benjamin Leyre Vice President – Senior Credit Officer, Infrastructure Finance Moody's Investors Service

Benjamin Leyre is a senior analyst in the EMEA Infrastructure Finance Group, based in Paris. He has responsibility for a portfolio of Southern European utilities, including unregulated electric and gas utilities, and regulated electric and gas networks. Benjamin has a wide range of utility experience acquired through a number of roles which he uses to comment on sector credit themes. Moody’s has a leading global Infrastructure Finance franchise, rating some US$2trillion of corporate and project finance securities, representing more than 90% of all public bonds globally in the sector. 140 analytical staff cover more than 1,000infrastructure issuers globally. Moody’s EMEA team of 50 specialists is responsible for rating 416 issuers. The rating agency covers more than 11,000 corporate issuers and 135 sovereign nations. Before joining Moody’s, Benjamin worked for Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, where he was heading the global energy team, and managing the fund’s European utilities equity portfolio. Prior to this, he worked as an equity analyst for ExaneBNP Paribas, as the head of its European utilities team, with direct coverage of large European corporates. Benjamin also worked as a senior consultant with IHS CERA, where he provided strategic advice to utilities, banks and governmental institutions in the US and in Europe, and where he kick-started the consultancy European environmental practice. Benjamin holds an M.Sc in Technology and Policy from M.I.T. and a M.Eng in mechanical Engineering and Energy Economics from Ecole des Mines de Paris. He is fluent in English and French.

Jean-Michel Carayon Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance Group Moody’s Investors Service

Jean-Michel Carayon is a Rating Committee chair in the Corporate Finance Group in EMEA since mid-2013. Before rejoining the Corporate Finance Group, he has been the Group Credit Officer for EMEA Corporates since February 2008 covering in this Credit Policy function more than 1000 credits across the various industries. Before joining the Credit Policy Group, he was the senior analyst in charge of EMEA Corporate ratings of pharmaceuticals, tobacco and other consumer products companies within the Corporate Finance Group. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2001, he was a corporate finance officer and a senior credit officer at Deutsche Bank in Paris for 10 years. He has extensive banking experience also acquired in two other banks. He is a graduate from HEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales).

Jacintha Poh Senior Vice President Corporate Finance Group, Moody's Investors Service

Jacintha Poh is a Senior Vice President / Manager with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Singapore, she covers a portfolio of issuers across the property, plantation and gaming industries in Southeast Asia.

Before joining Moody’s, Jacintha was a credit analyst with Lion Global Investors’ fixed income team, covering primarily the real estate and S-REIT sectors, as well as conglomerates and aviation companies.

Jacintha has a BA in Accounting and Finance with honors from the University of London

Frank Yuen Vice President - Senior Analyst Moody's Investors Service

Frank Yuen is a Vice President–Senior Analyst with Moody’s Investors Service’s Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong, he covers a portfolio of insurers in Hong Kong, China and other parts of Asia Pacific.

Before joining Moody’s, Frank was an Equity Research Analyst, covering regional banks and insurers at BNP Paribas and Standard Chartered. In addition, Frank has worked as a management trainee and actuarial intern at a global bank and also an insurance company.

Frank graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Actuarial Science, and is a CFA and FRM charterholder.

Kathrin Muehlbronner Senior Vice President, Global MDB Lead, Sovereign & Sub Sovereign Risk Moody's Investors Service

Kathrin joined Moody’s Investors Service in April 2010 as a member of the Sovereign Risk Group. She is the lead analyst for a number of European sovereigns including Turkey and Israel as well as several MDBs such as the IFC, EBRD and AIIB among others. She is also Moody’s global coordinator for all of Moody’s MDB ratings.

Prior to joining Moody’s Kathrin was a Director with Merrill Lynch, working as Sovereign Ratings Advisor to governments and banks in emerging markets. Prior to that, she was Chief Economist for Deutsche Bank in Spain.

She holds a M.Sc. in Economics, Latin American Politics, Spanish and Portuguese languages from the University of Tuebingen as well as a post-graduate economics degree from the College of Europe, Bruges.

Shawn Xiong Vice President - Senior Analyst, Corporate Finance Moody's Investors Service

Shawn Xiong is a Vice President - Senior Analyst with Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Hong Kong, Shawn is the Lead Analyst for a portfolio of China non-property companies, including those in the metals and mining, healthcare services, retail and telecom and IT services sectors.

Before his relocation to Hong Kong, Shawn worked for five years with Moody’s in Sydney, where he covered the Australian mining services, building materials and gaming sectors.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Shawn worked for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia as an Associate in its Debt Capital Markets division.

Shawn has also worked as a Senior Analyst in the Corporate Finance division of KPMG in Sydney.

Shawn holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting from Macquarie University in Sydney. He is also a CFA Charterholder and a CA.
