China Outlook: Double Trouble

China’s economy is under pressure on all fronts. At home, a deep property slump, high youth unemployment, and weak consumer confidence are spoiling the chances of a domestic consumption revival. And looking outwards, an extension to the trade truce with the U.S. has calmed tensions for now, but exporters and investors still face uncertainty as negotiations drag on. Policymakers are likely to sprinkle more support from both the fiscal and monetary fronts. Will China be able to ride the storm or be swept off course?
