Terrorism risk in Great Britain has been changing over the past decade, with the demise of Al Qaeda, ISIS and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations capable of launching spectacular attacks in countries with strong counter-terrorism security.  As shown by the 2017 Manchester Arena suicide bombing, as much can be achieved through less spectacular, but highly lethal attacks targeted to kill.  The recent vehicle ramming terrorist attacks in Magdeburg, Germany, and New Orleans, USA, illustrate the substitution process favored by terrorists, whereby the choices of weapons and targets can be optimized to achieve their objectives.

In February, Moody’s will release the first upgrade to the Terrorism High-Definition model to capture this new threat landscape in Great Britain.  This webinar will include commentary on the shift in terrorism risk in Great Britain, and the update to Terrorism HD to help clients quantify the impacts.
