Sunny Nguyen has joined the Sydney office as an assistant director and economist. She earned a master’s degree in economics from the University of British Columbia, and a PhD in economics from the University of Sydney, where she also holds a Lecturer position. Before Moody’s, Sunny worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia across its research, economic and financial stability departments. She enjoys travelling, visiting art galleries and museums around the world, while painting and playing piano in her free time.
Shannon Nicoll is an economist with Moody’s Analytics. Based in Sydney, he provides analysis for countries across the Asia-Pacific region, particularly New Zealand. Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Wollongong. Prior to joining Moody’s Analytics, he worked at the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.
Brendan LaCerda is a director and senior economist with Moody’s. Brendan serves as the lead analyst for the Canadian economic forecast. His primary responsibilities also include the development and improvement of country forecast models. His research is primarily focused on international macroeconomics, healthcare and fiscal policy. Before joining Moody’s Analytics, Brendan worked as a senior economist with IHS Global Insight’s U.S. Macroeconomic Service. Brendan received his PhD in economics from the University of Virginia. He pursued his undergraduate education at the London School of Economics and the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with a BA in economics and mathematics.
