Charlie Houston is an economist with Moody’s Analytics based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a member of the model development team and specializes in machine learning and artificial intelligence in economic research. He also covers the economy of the United Arab Emirates. Charlie’s prior experience is in asset management, where he worked as an investment manager in global bonds. He holds a PhD in biophysics and an MEng in aeronautical engineering from Imperial College London, and is a CFA charterholder.
Aidan O’Galligan is an associate economist in the Moody’s Analytics Edinburgh office. He covers the economies of Türkiye, Israel, and the West Bank and Gaza. Before joining Moody’s Analytics, Aidan worked at Haver Analytics as a senior economic data manager. He holds an MSc in economics from the University of St. Andrews and a BSc in international economics from the University of Essex.
