Wendy Cheong is a senior management and strategy professional with over 22 years of experience in leading and transforming international business operations.
She is currently Managing Director-Regional Head of Asia Pacific for Moody’s Ratings, based in Hong Kong. In this role, Wendy develops and leads Moody’s growth strategy in both developed and emerging markets in the region. Wendy is the senior representative for Moody’s in Asia Pacific and is responsible for managing regional operations, overseeing policy and regulatory outreach, coordinating Moody’s global initiatives, and providing oversight of affiliates, joint ventures and MIS domestic market strategies in the region.
Wendy joined Moody's in 2010 as an Assistant Director at Content Strategy in Moody’s Analytics, and has since held senior positions in strategy and management roles across business lines in Hong Kong and New York to build strategic vision, drive business growth and enhance market impact. She has served as Chief of Staff to the President of Moody’s Investors Service; Representative Director for MIS in Hong Kong, while also serving as Senior Vice President – Head of APAC Strategy & Business Management; and Director and Senior Product Strategist at Moody’s Analytics. Wendy sits as a Director on the boards of a majority of Moody’s Asia entities and affiliates in the region.
Wendy is a member of Moody’s Global Diversity Council and founded the Moody’s Women’s Employee Resource Group in Asia Pacific. She held leadership roles in several external women in finance organizations, including 100 Women in Finance and the Women in Finance Association of the Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA). She is currently a member of the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN), a leading network of over 600 organizations across 34 countries that mobilizes capital for impact investing.
Before joining Moody’s, Wendy held senior strategy, sales and marketing positions at Prudential PLC, as well as at Singapore Telecoms in Hong Kong and Singapore.
She holds a BA in Southeast Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore.

Anushka Shah is a Vice President with Moody’s Sovereign Risk Group. Based in Singapore, Anushka covers a number of countries in Asia Pacific, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Maldives and Mongolia.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Anushka worked for more than seven years at Citi Investment Research in Bombay, where her focus was on the South Asian economies.
Anushka has a Master’s in Economics and Finance from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Bombay.
Sophia Sinae Lee is an Associate Managing Director in Moody’s Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong, she oversees the ratings team that is responsible for financial institutions in Hong Kong, Korea, Mongolia and Taiwan, and non-bank financial institutions in China.
Sophia joined Moody’s in 2013 and prior to that spent seven years at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong as an equity analyst. She has also held positions in Korea at Bank of Korea and Korea First Bank.
Sophia holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a BA in Russian Language and Literature from Korea University. She is also a CFA charterholder.
Arlene Sohn is an Analyst in Moody’s Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong, Arlene covers a portfolio of financial institutions in Korea and Mongolia.
Prior to her current role, Arlene worked as an Associate Analyst in Moody’s Ratings and Research Support team, and supported ratings for non-financial corporates in Korea. Arlene also supported ratings for project financing companies in South and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2017, Arlene was with Deloitte Korea and has performed different roles in financial advisory services group, including feasibility studies on infrastructure project and aircraft financing, insolvency and litigation consulting and M&A advisory work.

Gil Jo is an Assistant Vice President - Analyst with Moody’s Ratings' Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for the ratings and research on insurance companies and non-bank financial institutions in Korea. Gil first joined Moody's in 2019 as an Associate Analyst, supporting the coverage of insurance companies and non-bank financial institutions in Korea.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Gil spent two years at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, where he was an internal auditor assessing the firm’s securities division, and also at Ernst &Young for a year, where he was a junior consultant under the risk advisory team. Changho Moon is Representative Director and Head of Relationship Management for Moody’s Ratings in Korea.
In his role, Changho leads Moody’s market outreach in Korea, including relationship management, business development and continuous engagement with various Korean and global market constituents.
Changho has more than 25 years of experience in banking and credit ratings, including building strong relationships with debt issuers, intermediaries, investors, policymakers and the media in the Korean markets.
Prior to his current role at Moody’s, Mr. Moon was Head of Commercial and Communications at Moody’s affiliate Korea Investors Service (KIS). Before that, he served as the Head of Ratings Group for six years, having joined KIS as an analyst in 1999. He also worked in the International Banking department of Korea Long Term Credit Bank.
Changho holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master’s in Finance from Yonsei University in Seoul.
