Marc R. Pinto, CFA Managing Director, Financial Institutions and Global Co-Head of Insurance Moody's Ratings

Mr. Pinto is the Global Co-Head of   Insurance Ratings and Research. Previous positions at Moody’s included Global Head of Funds & Asset Management and Chief Credit Policy Officer for banks.

Mr. Pinto is also an Executive Sponsor for Moody’s CFA and Administrative Professionals Networks; and he is a Mentor Advisor in the Women’s Business Resource Group and a member of CORE (Creating Opportunities for Racial Equity). Atsi Sheth is Managing Director and Global Head, Credit Strategy and Research.

Moody’s Credit Strategy & Research group includes global teams focused on Macroeconomic Research, Default & Ratings Analytics and Global Emerging Markets as well as regional credit strategy teams each focused on Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and EMEA.

Together these teams establish and articulate Moody’s house views on the trends that drive risk across countries, sectors and asset classes. They undertake in depth data driven analysis and leverage the expertise of ratings and research analysts across Moody’s to generate global, regional and sector insights on macro-economic, political, policy, technology and environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks.

In her capacity leading the group, Atsi also serves as a spokesperson on Moody’s analytic views, engaging with investors, the media and a wide range of public and private sector stakeholders.

Atsi is a long-time champion of Moody’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) as well as our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Anne Van Praagh Managing Director – Global Head of Public, Project and Infrastructure Finance Moody’s Ratings

Anne Van Praagh is Global Head of the Public, Project & Infrastructure Finance Group for Moody’s Ratings, overseeing credit ratings and research on public sector entities worldwide.

Prior to this role, Anne led the Sovereign Risk Group in 2021 and 2022. Anne was head of Ratings Research from 2019 to early 2022, driving the content and engagement strategy for 20,000 research publications published annually. In 2016, Anne launched the Credit Strategy & Research group, setting Moody’s macroeconomic and “house views” on emerging risk trends and coordinating Moody’s credit response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Previously she held roles as MD for Sovereign Risk in the Americas, Middle East and APAC, Chief Credit Officer for Public Sector Ratings, and lead analyst for US infrastructure, states and local governments. She also spent three years as vice president in Morgan Stanley’s public finance investment banking team advising on $25 billion in financings. 

Anne began her career as a speechwriter at the US Department of Defense in the Clinton Administration. She has a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. She is married with two daughters.

Jorge Valez Senior Vice President, Sovereign Risk Moody’s Ratings

Jorge R. Valez is a Senior Vice President at Moody’s Sovereign Risk Group based in London. He serves as lead analyst for a portfolio of sovereigns and multilateral development banks in the EMEA region. He is also a global lead in analytical projects aimed at supporting rating accuracy and thought leadership across sovereign credit risks.

Jorge joined Moody’s in 2014 in the Financial Institutions Group. He also worked at Credit Strategy and Research leading the team responsible for banking projections and stress tests globally, as well as foundational research on ratings and capital markets.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Jorge worked for a bank as a macroeconomist responsible for forecasting and scenario analysis, and as a university lecturer in Macroeconomics and Econometrics.

Ana Arsov is a Global Managing Director, co-heading of the banking rating franchise for Moody’s Investor Service which includes rating coverage for banks, securities firms, specialty finance and market infrastructure.

Ana joined Moody’s in 2013 with an extensive experience in analyzing financial institutions and managing credit professionals. Prior to joining Moody’s, Ana’s most recent role was at UBS, where she spent the last several years as Executive Director in Credit Risk, responsible for financial institutions including North American banks, broker dealers, exchanges and clearinghouses. Andrea leads a team of London-based analysts within the corporate finance franchise covering a diverse portfolio of industries. Andrea started his career at Banca Intesa in Italy where he worked as a private banker, as a corporate banker and he also worked as an analyst at Bloomberg Financial Markets in London. Andrea was also a banking supervisor with the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) for eight years. Andrea joined Moody’s in London 2011 and prior to his current role, he managed the Business & Consumer Services Team in New York for several years.

Paloma San Valentin Managing Director, Head of North America Corporate Finance Moody’s Ratings

Paloma San Valentin is Head of the Corporate Finance Group (CFG) in North America for Moody’s Ratings, based in New York, overseeing the development of rating opinions and research on corporates in the region. Paloma previously served as Co-Head for US and Americas CFG. From 2010 to 2014, she was a Managing Director in CFG in London, where she was in charge of the analytical teams covering a diverse portfolio of mostly consumer-facing industries including telecom, media, airlines, food processors, real estate, packaged goods, or business services. Paloma joined Moody’s in the summer of 2008, bringing 15 years of international corporate credit and banking experience. Prior to joining Moody’s, Paloma was Country Credit Risk Officer for Bank of America in Spain and responsible for the bank’s Iberian corporate credit portfolio and French general industrial clients. During her career, Paloma also spent three years at Credit Suisse, in different credit risk and investment banking capacities. Ms. San Valentin holds an MBA from Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa (IESE), Barcelona, Spain, and a BA in Business and Economics from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium.

Navneet Agarwal, CFA Managing Director, Structured Finance Moody's Investors Service

Navneet Agarwal is a Managing Director and heads Moody’s Structured Finance Primary Ratings for the Americas and Other Permissible Services for structured finance globally.

Navneet’s previous roles at Moody’s include leading the company’s US RMBS New Ratings, the surveillance function for Moody’s US Asset Finance Group and a CLO surveillance team. In past, he has also headed methodology development for structured finance in addition to setting up an analytical technology group. Navneet has published and presented extensively on behalf of Moody’s.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Navneet spent seven years as the Head of Debt Syndication with a boutique investment bank in India, where he also managed a proprietary book. Navneet has worked with Unit Trust of India (T. Rowe Price’s India affiliate) as an Investment Manager, as well as with Banc of America Securities. Navneet served as a member of the Board of Directors of ICRA, a publicly listed rating and analytics company in India.

Swami Venkataraman, CFA Associate Managing Director, Sustainable Finance, Global Head of Assessments Moody's Ratings

Swami Venkataraman, CFA, is an Associate Managing Director in the Sustainable Finance group at Moody's Ratings. He manages a global team of analysts responsible for producing assessments and thematic research on the credentials of sustainability debt instruments and financing frameworks (Second Party Opinions) and the strength of entities carbon transition plans (Net Zero Assessments). He also leads related outreach efforts for Moody's with regulators, standard setters, investors, corporates and other market participants.

Swami regularly participates in high-profile working groups, conferences and media engagements. He is a member of the International Energy Agency's Finance Industry Advisory Board, the Institute for International Finance's (IIF) Sustainable Finance Working Group, the Executive Committee of the ESG Integrated Disclosure Project (IDP) for private capital markets and manages key external relationships for Moody's such as the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) and Ceres.
