CloseReynir is an Assistant Director for Emerging Risks on the Model, and Data Product Management Global team. Based in New York, he is currently the Product Manager for the Moody’s Terrorism Solution, and LifeRisks application. Reynir is a Certified Catastrophe Risk Analyst (CCRA), and before joining Moody’s RMS, he earned a master’s degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a master’s degree in Climate and Society from Columbia University.
Manabu Masuda is a Vice President of Model Development and he has over 30 years of professional experience in catastrophe modeling, probabilistic risk assessment and construction/structural design. Currently responsible for Supply Chain model and Asia/Japan market development. Over the years, has been involved in various cat models for multiple perils/regions including specialty components such as IFM (Industrial Facility Model) and BR (Builders’ Risk) models. Prior to joining RMS, he worked for Kajima Co. (Tokyo, Japan) and ABS Consulting as a structural engineer.
Manabu earned his bachelor’s degree and engineering degree in Structural Engineering from Kobe University, Japan. He then earned his second master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. He is a resisted professional engineer both in Japan and US.
