Naoki Shimizu is an Associate Managing Director – Head of Relationship Management, Commercial Group (Japan). In this role, he leads business development and manages issuer client as well as intermediary relationships in Japan. As Japan Country Manager, he manages the operating environment for the Moody’s Japan business and maintains senior relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Naoki joined Moody’s in 2012 initially with the Moody’s Analytics sales team in Tokyo before moving to assume his current position in 2018 at Moody’s Investors Service - Commercial Group. He has been a member of the APAC Diversity Council since 2022 and is passionate about building an inclusive workplace.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Naoki worked at Citi for 12 years, primarily as a structured finance arranger both in New York and Tokyo. He started his career at a Japanese government aid financial institution to support the economic and social development of emerging market countries.
Naoki holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from University of Tokyo and a master-of-arts degree in international economics from Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University.
Takayuki Haruna is a Co-CIO & Managing Executive Officer (2021-) at Japan Post Insurance Co., Ltd. (JPI). He takes responsibility for all of investments (loans, equity, fixed-income, credit and alternative investment) and ESG Investment at JPI. He joined JPI in 2016 as a Head of Credit & Alternative investment Dept. (2016-2020). He was a Executive Officer and Head of Investment Planning Dept. (2020-2021) at JPI.
Prior to joining JPI, Takayuki Haruna was a COO (2009-2016) at Japan Alternative Investment Co., Ltd. (JAI, changed its name to Mitsui & Co. Alternative Investments Ltd. in 2017). JAI is a specialized firm in alternative investments, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. He joined JAI in 2005 as head of Business Development Department. In 2007, he founded Investment Advisory Dept. and managed FoHF as a CIO.
Before joining JAI, Takayuki Haruna worked for The Norinchukin Bank (1991-2005) and was involved with asset allocation planning on proprietary accounts. From 1998 to 2003, he worked on secondment at The Norinchukin Trust & Banking Co., Ltd. and as a Chief Fund Manager to manage, Japanese equities, fixed-income and to set up Gate Keeper business.
He also serves as a guest professor at Research Center for Nuclear Physics at Osaka University (2022-) and as a guest professor at Research Organization of Science and Technology at Ritsumeikan University (2023-).
He received BA in Economics from Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto in 1991.
Joined the Schroders Japanese small cap equity team in April 2008. He was one of key members for Core strategy team since April 2009, before being appointed as a Co-manager. Became lead manager of Core strategy in October 2017. He also manages Sustainable strategy since inception in 2016.
He is the Chairman of Stewardship Committee, that is a control center of ESG initiatives in Japan, liaising closely with London based Sustainable Investment team.

Justin Tanjuakio is a Director and Insurance Industry Practice Lead at Moody’s Analytics, covering the APAC region. In his current role, he collaborates with insurers to enhance their underwriting, investment/insurance risk management, and balance sheet management, through Moody’s Analytics solutions.
Prior to Moody’s, he worked for 14+ years for life insurers including MetLife, Prudential and AIG. His experience includes management roles within financial reporting, risk management, embedded value, product development, pricing, and internal audit. He has been based in Japan since 2016.
Justin is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst.
Tomoya Suzuki is a Vice President – Senior Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group in Tokyo.
He covers ratings across a portfolio of Japanese banks and property and casualty insurers.
Before joining Moody’s, Tomoya worked in credit risk management at Credit Suisse in Tokyo and previously in credit investment at a Japanese bank.
Tomoya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and International Business from the University of South Carolina.

Tianwei, is a Managing Director based in Hong Kong. He is the representative director for Moody’s Analytics Japan and the head of sales for Moody’s Analytics in North Asia.
In his role, he manages a sales team for Greater China (including Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), Japan and Korea partnering with clients in banking, insurance, asset managers, other financial institutions, and corporates, helping them overcome their risk management challenges.
Tianwei has joined Moody’s in 2002 and has since gained extensive product knowledge to serve North Asia based clients with various solutions that provide deep insight into making better business decisions.
Before joining in Moody’s, Tianwei worked for Goldman Sachs in the Technology Division.
