Jennifer Wu is the Managing Director for APAC Structured Finance for Moody’s Ratings based in Hong Kong SAR, China. She is responsible for overseeing both primary issuance and surveillance functions for Consumer Assets, Corporate Assets and Covered Bonds, with responsibility for teams based in Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai.
Prior to rejoining the Structured Finance Group, she had been the Managing Director for APAC Ratings and Research since 2017, where she oversaw the delivery of high-quality analytic support and recruitment, professional development and early career journeys of Moody’s junior analytical talent.
Jennifer first joined Moody’s in 2006 as a lead analyst for Australian RMBS, ABCP and Covered Bond transactions. In 2011, she took on a managerial position for Structured Finance Group in Sydney where she was responsible for managing the Sydney primary rating team. She also coordinated investor outreach for APAC Structured Finance Group.
Jennifer previously worked for a period of seven years in various roles within the securitization industry including Perpetual Limited, Australian Financial Investments Group Ltd and RAMS Home Loans. She also worked as a lawyer at Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now known as King & Wood Mallesons).
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Laws and Economics from the University of Sydney. She was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in May 1996.
Annabel Schaafsma is a Managing Director and Global Head of the Structured Finance Group within Ratings and Research. She is responsible for a global team that both assign primary ratings as well as the surveillance of existing ratings covering all asset types including Asset Backed Securities, Corporate and Residential Mortgage Backed Securities, Structured Credit and Covered Bonds.
Annabel has many years of experience in credit analysis, as well as managing credit professionals. Annabel first joined Moody’s in 2001 in the Structured Finance Group where she went onto leading teams assigning Primary ratings to Residential Mortgage Backed securities and the surveillance of Consumer Asset Backed Securities in EMEA. Prior to her current role she worked in Credit Strategy and Standards Group responsible for the Methodology Development Group. Prior to joining Moody’s Annabel worked for Credit Suisse in the Credit Risk Management department in various roles in London and New York. In 2006 Annabel joined Standard Chartered Bank as Head of Credit Research for the Structured Credit Investment team that invested in structured finance instruments. Before re-joining Moody’s in 2010, Annabel was head of Traded Credit Risk Management for Standard Chartered Bank in London responsible for the identification and analysis of credit risks within the firm’s trading business.
Annabel is passionate about diversity and inclusion; she is the executive sponsor of the Moody’s UK Women’s Business Resource Group. Annabel holds an undergraduate degree in Economics focused in finance and accountancy from Manchester University
Ilya Serov is the Associate Managing Director for Moody’s Structured Finance Group in Sydney, responsible for managing the new ratings team.
Prior to joining the Structured Finance Group, Ilya was a Senior Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group, covering Australian major and investment banks. He was also the lead analyst for the Australian mortgage insurance sector. Ilya joined Moody’s Financial Institutions team in 2011, and was first based in New York, and then Sydney. Previously, he worked in Moody’s Structured Finance Group in Australia, where his responsibilities included residential mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, and esoteric structures.
Before joining Moody’s in 2003, Ilya worked as an academic at a leading Australian university, researching and lecturing on corporate finance. Ilya holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degrees from the University of New South Wales.
Daisuke Kitazawa is a Vice President - Senior Analyst for US Structure Finance that includes CLOs and other structured credit products at Moody’s Ratings. He is also involved in various research rerated to CLOs and investor outreach activities related to Japan. Before he moved to the New York office in 2013, Daisuke has been working for Moody’s Japan K.K. and has held a variety of roles and responsibilities. As an Analyst, he had a special emphasis on collateral debt obligations (CDO) and asset-backed securities (ABS).

Jerome Cheng has worked at Moody’s for more than 20 years. Based in Hong Kong, Jerome is an Associate Managing Director in the Structured Finance Group.
Jerome is responsible for covered bonds and structured finance transactions in Asia(ex-Japan). His analysis of structured finance deals includes CDOs, CMBS, RMBS, consumer loans and equipment leases. He has worked on a number of first-time landmark securitization transactions across Asia.
Jerome holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Hong Kong, and Bachelor of Law degree from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Marie Lam joined Moody’s Investors Service in September 2000 and is currently an Associate Managing Director with the Structured Finance team in the Hong Kong office. She leads the structured finance surveillance teams in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. The surveillance teams monitor ABS, RMBS, CMBS and Structured Credit transactions. She received an MBA from Dalhousie University in Canada and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Laurent Lassalvy is a Senior Vice President in the Credit Strategy and Standards Group at Moody’s Investors Service, based in Singapore.
Laurent has been the Group Credit Officer for structured finance ratings in Asia Pacific since 2015. In this role, he is responsible for improving the consistency, transparency and accuracy of structured finance ratings in the region.
Laurent worked in Moody’s Paris and London offices between 2003 and 2010, where he was a lead analyst covering structured finance transactions. Before returning to Moody’s in 2015, he founded and managed a sustainable tourism business in Malaysia.
Laurent holds an MBA from INSEAD Business School, an MSc in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and an MSc in Statistics and Economics from ENSAE ParisTech.

Before working at Moody’s, he worked in the assetmanagement department of a major insurance company.
He is a Chartered Member of The Security Analysts Association of Japan as well as a Fellow of The Institute of Actuaries of Japan.
