Problem Loans
CPE Credit Training Series
When a client experiences financial distress, its once-solid loan can quickly become a distressed asset. To minimize the potential impact, lenders must be able to identify early warning signs of deteriorating credit and proactively work to reduce any increased risk exposure. Problem Loans, presented in a series of three, one-hour sequential sessions, teaches participants how to recognize and respond to deteriorating credit conditions by leveraging the four-step Decision Strategy framework. By following the framework and asking questions relevant to the current view of a client’s credit risk, participants can more easily identify and manage emerging problem loans in their portfolio, minimizing effort, cost, and losses. The course teaches participants how to recognize a business in financial distress and determine if there is a cash concern, a cash crunch or a cash crisis.
Each hour of training will quality for 1 CPE credit.

Projections
CPE Credit Training Series
Projecting a prospect’s or borrower’s future financial performance is a key skill for lenders, whether it is for credit, valuation, M&A, or investment recommendations. However, predicting the future is at best a very uncertain process. This series of three, one-hour sequential sessions, will present delegates with a systematic way to quickly evaluate management and sales growth’s impact on cash flow via the seven cash flow drivers and the CreditLens Cash Management report. From there, learners will better understand the parameters of a “management case” and “bank case” (or downside risk or stress test, if you will) and how to objectively consider how the cash flow drivers – presented as fundamentals and swing factors – impact financial performance and cash flow in future periods. The series will conclude with a session around sensitivity analysis and determining which of the cash flow drivers most readily impacts financial performance and the related impact on credit risk.
Each hour of training will quality for 1 CPE credit.
