Deepika Kothari is an Associate Managing Director with Moody’s Ratings. She currently heads the US Consumer ABS surveillance team within the Structured Finance Group, responsible for monitoring of secured and unsecured consumer ABS transactions. She is also the global research coordinator for the Structured Finance Group, responsible for ensuring global alignment on the group’s research efforts. Prior to her current role on the Consumer ABS team, she led the US Residential Mortgage Backed Securities New Ratings team within the Structured Finance Group, where she was responsible for overseeing the ratings analytics of new RMBS transactions.

 Deepika has held various leadership roles within Consumer ABS since joining Moody’s in 2005 and has had a major role in the ratings analytics and surveillance of RMBS and ABS. She has published extensively on various topics related to consumer credit and ratings methodologies and presented our opinion at various webinars and conferences. Prior to joining Moody’s, Deepika worked for HSBC in India for three years in credit and operations. Deepika holds a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Mumbai, India, an M.B.A from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and an M.S. in Finance from Boston College.

Madhavi Bokil is a Senior Vice President, heading the Macro Research Team of the Credit Strategy and Standards Group. She is a member of Moody’s Macro Board and the lead author of Moody’s Global Macroeconomic Outlook.

Before joining Moody’s Ratings Madhavi held positions as Senior Economist at AIG and GE Capital, undertaking global macroeconomic analysis, forecasting and CCAR stress testing. Prior to that she held a faculty position in the Department of Economics at Clark University, where she pursued research in and taught International Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics. She holds a BA in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune, India, a MA in Economics from the University of Mumbai, India and a PhD in International Economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Mickey Chadha is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer on the Corporate Finance Team. He is the lead analyst covering a portfolio of bog box, value, off-price and specialty retail issuers.  Prior to joining Moody’s in 2010 Mickey spent about 20 years in corporate and investment banking.  Mickey began his banking career at First Fidelity Bank (now part of Wells Fargo) and following his tenure at First Fidelity, he worked at different banking institutions including Sumitomo Mitsubishi Banking Corporation and The Royal Bank of Canada.  Just before joining Moody’s Mickey was a Portfolio Manager and Senior Vice President at IKB Capital Corporation managing a portfolio of high yield and investment grade credits.  Mickey holds an M.B.A from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, New York and a post graduate diploma in credit analysis and banking from New York University.

Rene Lipsch is an Associate Managing Director in the Corporate Finance Group at Moody’s Ratings, where he heads the US Automotive, Transportation & Capital Goods team.

Prio to his current role, Rene was a Senior Vice President in the same group, with responsibility for a portfolio of investment-grade and high-yield US automotive and capital goods issuers, following earlier coverage of the transportation sector.

Before joining Moody’s in 2013, Rene spent nine years in investment banking in London, working in Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse and in Corporate Finance at Merrill Lynch. Earlier in his career, he was a Dutch and international tax advisor with Loyens & Loeff in Rotterdam and Hong Kong. 

Rene holds an M.Sc. in Finance from London Business School and a M.Sc. in Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Pete Trombetta, a Vice President-Senior Analyst on the Manufacturing, Aerospace, Defense, Lodging Team, is responsible for a portfolio of lodging, cruise and diversified manufacturing companies. Previously, Pete covered companies in the restaurant, gaming, retail, and apparel industries. Before joining Moody’s in August 2005, Pete was an Assistant Vice President in the capital recovery group and lending groups at PNC Bank.

 Pete received a B.A. in Psychology from Widener University and an MBA from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University

Prior to joining Moody’s, Mike was a senior director at another rating agency where he covered banks, consumer finance companies, asset managers, and securities firms. He led the agency’s internal fintech common interest group and published research on emerging issues in the sector. Prior to that, Mike was a sell-side equity analyst at UBS and Sandler O’Neill Partners where he was a senior analyst covering consumer and specialty finance companies.

Mike holds an MBA from the University of Florida and BBA in accounting from Pace University. He is also a certified public accountant in the state of New York.

Masako Oshima is a Senior Vice President in the Structured Finance Group focusing on surveillance of Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities in the U.S. market at Moody’s Ratings. Prior to her current role starting in August 2021, Masako was responsible for surveillance of Residential Mortgage Backed Securities and Consumer ABS in EMEA region for 7 years. Masako first joined Moody’s in 2007 as VP-Senior Credit Officer in the Structured Finance Group, where she performed rating and monitoring of ABCP programs in the EMEA region. Prior to joining Moody’s, Masako worked in the London, New York, Chicago, Tokyo Offices of JPMorgan Chase and its predecessor organizations in a series of risk management functions covering a broad range of capital market products including securitization transactions funded in ABCP conduits. Before re-joining Moody’s in 2014, Masako was head of Structured Finance Stress Testing at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, responsible for the stress testing of the global structured finance portfolio. Masako is a CFA charter holder and holds MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, AZ and BA from Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan.
