Marianna Waltz is a Managing Director at Moody’s Ratings and has joined the company in 2011.

In her current role, Marianna leads the EMEA Project Infrastructure Finance ratings and research franchise, with responsibility for performance, execution and strategic direction across the region.

Previously, Marianna had run Moody’s ratings teams in Latin America, including the Corporate Finance, Infrastructure, and Financial Institutions groups across more than 15 countries.

She’s a member WeConnect International Advisory Board, a global non-profit organization that supports women-owned business around the world.

Marianna is a former Board Member of Moody’s Local, Moody’s affiliate for domestic capital markets in LatAm.

Prior to joining Moody’s, she developed a career as an equity sell side analyst and, from 2008 to 2011, she was the head of sell-side equity research at Banco do Brasil.

Marianna is a CFA charter holder and holds three Master’s degrees, including an MBA in Finance from IBMEC Business School; an MBA in Marketing from FundaçãoGetúlio Vargas –FGV; and a Master in Semiology from UFRJ.

Marie Diron is global head of Moody’s Sovereign and Sub-Sovereign Risk Group, with responsibility for credit ratings on countries, regional and local governments, public sector entities and multilateral development banks. Marie is also Moody’s Investors Service lead coordinator on ESG monitoring and integration across asset classes. 

Marie has worked in various functions at Moody’s in the Sovereign Risk Group and (then) Credit Policy. In particular, she was lead sovereign analyst for a number of Asia Pacific credits including Australia, China, India and some frontier market sovereigns. She then managed the Asia Pacific sovereign team, before expanding her responsibilities to today’s global role. Previously, in Credit Policy, Marie co-ordinated Moody’s Global Macro Outlook and other credit research. 

Marie was previously Director at Oxford Economics, leading the company’s forecasting and scenario analysis service to financial sector and corporate clients, after a number of years at the European Central Bank and Brevan Howard LLP. Marie received a MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and graduated from the Ecole Centrale Paris.

Avinash Persaud is Special Advisor on Climate Change to the President of the Inter-American Development Bank. Persaud has over 30 years of experience in finance, public policy, and academia. Prior to this appointment in January 2024, he was Special Climate Envoy to the Prime Minister of Barbados and an architect of the 'Bridgetown Initiative’ that played an instrumental role in helping to set the international financial reform agenda in recent years.

Persaud is a member of the High-Level Expert Group on Climate Finance of the COP26, 27 and 28 Presidencies and a member of the Independent Expert group on Debt, Nature and Climate, established by the Governments of Colombia, France and Kenya. He previously served as Chairman of the Caribbean Community's Commission on the Economy and Commissioner of the UN Commission on Financial Reform.  Prior to his public policy roles, Persaud was a senior executive at several major banks including J. P. Morgan, State Street and UBS.

Persaud has authored multiple academic publications with particular emphasis on financial policy. An Emeritus Professor of Gresham College in the UK, he is 2024 Perry World Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, former Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute and winner of the Jacques de Larosiere Award in Global Finance for his work on financial risk management and systemic crises.

Rahul Ghosh is Managing Director and Global Head of Sustainable Finance & Emerging Markets at Moody's Ratings. In this role, Rahul is responsible for Moody's Ratings' strategy to systematically integrate material sustainability and climate considerations into credit ratings. He also leads analytical teams that produce assessments on the credentials of sustainable debt (Second Party Opinions) and the strength of companies' carbon transition plans (Net Zero Assessments), as well as the credit rating agency’s thought leadership and market engagement on global emerging market credit.

Rahul regularly takes part in high-profile industry working groups, market briefings, external conferences and media engagements. He represents Moody's as a member of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures and the Transition Finance Council. He also represents Moody's on the Principles for Responsible Investment's advisory committee on credit ratings and the International Capital Market Association's Green and Social Bond Principles advisory council. He has presented on the impact of climate change on global credit markets at the 2025 and 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conferences in Belém (COP30) and Glasgow (COP26), and on sustainable finance trends at the International Finance Corporation's Global Debt Mobilization Conference.

Before his current position, Rahul previously worked in Moody's Credit Strategy & Research team where he was responsible for regional credit oversight and though leadership. Prior to joining Moody's in 2013, Rahul was the Head of Asia at BMI Research (Fitch Solutions) in Singapore, leading a team of macroeconomists and industry specialists in analysing sovereign risk, sector performance and capital markets.

Rahul is the executive sponsor of Moody's UK Multicultural Business Resource Group. He holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Edinburgh and a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Society of the UK.

Cristiane is a Senior Vice President/Manager, based in Sao Paulo with management responsibility for the rating agency coverage of project finance, infrastructure and sub sovereign credits across Latin America. In her role, she oversees a team of analysts covering those sectors, developing research on sector trends and conducting outreach activities with key market participants. Cristiane has over fifteen years of experience in the financial services industry. Since she joined the firm in January 2007, Cristiane covered several infrastructure credits in the transportation, sanitation and electricity sectors and project finance transactions. Cristiane has also worked as a senior analyst with Moody's corporate finance team covering high yield and financially distressed issuers in the real estate, construction and transportation sectors until 2016.Before joining Moody's, Cristiane developed credit analysis at West lB and fixed income portfolio management activities at Bank Boston. Cristiane holds a Master's degree in Finance from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a MBA in Real Estate from the University of Sao Paulo.

Jennifer Chang is a Vice President in Moody’s Sustainable Finance Group, with a primary focus in physical climate risks and materiality as it pertains to credit risks across various industries.

Prior to this group, Jennifer was the Public Power Sector Lead in the Global Project and Infrastructure Finance Group, and covered a range of infrastructure sectors including transportation, social infrastructure and power projects in the Americas. She also led new power project finance and public-private partnership rating assignments.

Jennifer launched the Infrastructure in Emerging Markets’ series, and is the author of several reports on PPPs, power and drillship transactions including special comments on airport concessions, express tolled lanes, credit enhancements and power project carbon transition. She recently published climate-related reports on physical climate risk assessments and credit impact of urban floods.

She is the receiver of three Moody’s Research Awards, including the report on Hydrogen – Electric Utilities and Power Projects. She is a frequent speaker and presenter at various industry conferences, including the US Department of Energy – Hydrogen Shot Summit in 2021. Prior to joining Moody’s, Jennifer worked at the World Bank as an energy finance specialist in the Latin American and Caribbean and Africa regions where she helped co-author the Brazil Low Carbon Case Study report, and worked on large scale electricity distribution rehabilitation projects in Brazil, Honduras and Malawi. Prior to the World Bank, Jennifer worked at BNP Paribas covering North American utilities, and at the Royal Bank of Scotland and at Credit Agricole covering media and telecom. She has a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Drexel University and a Masters from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University (SIPA) with a concentration in International Energy Management and Policy. She is currently pursuing a Certification in Sustainable Water Management from Columbia University.

Mr. Rodolfo Nardez Sirol began his career in the power sector in 2001 as Environmental Manager at Duke Energy. He joined CPFL Energia as Environmental Manager in 2008 and in 2011 became Environmental Director. In 2015, the Sustainability Department was created, and his scope was expanded to the sustainability area (social and sustainability strategy). He has a degree in Oceanography from the Federal University of Rio Grande, a MSc. and PhD. in Animal Science from the Federal University of Viçosa, and two MBAs, both by the Getulio Vargas Foundation: People Management Strategy and Business Management. In 2014, concluded his post-MBA in Innovation by HSM and, in 2017, The Prince of Wales’s Business & Sustainability Program from Cambridge University. Since 2013, is Vice President of the Board of Directors and the COGE Foundation and become a Board Diretor of ENERCAN, CERAN and Foz do Chapecó, and was Chairman of the Board at Global Compact Network Brazil between 2020 and 2023. In 2023, he was recognized as a UN Sustainable Development Goals Pioneer in Brazil, for his achievements as a corporate leader in environmental licensing and management, as well as in sustainability and responsible businesses.

Economist with an MBA in Finance and Capital Markets and Executive Management from Ohio University. Responsible for sustainable financing strategies, fundraising and allocation, frameworks, taxonomy, and sustainability guidelines.

Serena is an Associate Lead Analyst on the Sustainable Finance team since March 2024. Her experience prior to Moody’s includes assessment of green, social, sustainable and sustainability-linked bonds and loans issuances, evaluation of Brazilian ESG investment funds' alignment with SFDR, due diligence projects based on Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards. She has been involved in the assessment of renewable energy, agriculture, land use (including deforestation and conversion free - DCF), pulp and paper, sanitation, clean transportation and other green projects in general. 

Serena holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from São Paulo State University (UNESP), a Diploma in Environment and Sustainability Post-graduate studies from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and is currently doing an MBA in Management and Environmental Technologies at the University of São Paulo.
