Pam was appointed Group CFO on 1 January 2025. Prior to this, she served as Group Chief Risk Officer from January 2020 and assumed responsibility for Compliance in June 2021. She served as Group Chief Risk and Compliance Officer until December 2024. Prior to joining HSBC in April 2013 as Group Head of Internal Audit, Pam held several senior positions including Global Head of Group Audit for Deutsche Bank; Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Restructuring and Risk Division for Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc; Group Head of Compliance and AntiMoney Laundering for Lloyds TSB; and Chief Compliance Officer for Citigroup International. Pam previously served as a non-executive Director of Centrica plc and Aberdeen Group plc.

Pam has an MBA in Finance, and a BCom (Hons) from Panjab University in India, and is a Fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

She currently serves as a non-executive Director of the Group’s subsidiary, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited.

David Bailey is Executive Director for Prudential Policy, responsible for the development, negotiation and implementation of prudential policy that supports the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA)'s objectives and broader financial stability. David also represents the PRA on the Basel Committee for Banking Supervision.

David joined the Bank of England in 2014 as Director of Financial Market Infrastructure and has held roles as Executive Director of Authorisations, RegTech and International Supervision, and Executive Director of Financial Markets Infrastructure. His most recent role was Executive Director of UK Deposit Takers Supervision which he held under February 2024.

Prior to working at the Bank, David was Head of Markets Infrastructure and Policy at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and at its predecessor, the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

He graduated from Durham University and began his career at J.P. Morgan.

Marie Diron is global head of Moody’s Sovereign and Sub-Sovereign Risk Group, with responsibility for credit ratings on countries, regional and local governments, public sector entities and multilateral development banks. Marie is also Moody’s Investors Service lead coordinator on ESG monitoring and integration across asset classes. 

Marie has worked in various functions at Moody’s in the Sovereign Risk Group and (then) Credit Policy. In particular, she was lead sovereign analyst for a number of Asia Pacific credits including Australia, China, India and some frontier market sovereigns. She then managed the Asia Pacific sovereign team, before expanding her responsibilities to today’s global role. Previously, in Credit Policy, Marie co-ordinated Moody’s Global Macro Outlook and other credit research. 

Marie was previously Director at Oxford Economics, leading the company’s forecasting and scenario analysis service to financial sector and corporate clients, after a number of years at the European Central Bank and Brevan Howard LLP. Marie received a MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and graduated from the Ecole Centrale Paris.

Stephen is a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of banking. He is co-responsible for global bank ratings and is based in London where he primarily focuses on banks in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

From 2022-2025 he was the Managing Director and Regional Head of EMEA, Stephen also served as the Country Manager for the United Kingdom for Moody’s Ratings. He was responsible for core business strategy, governance and oversight in the EMEA region.

Before relocating to London, Stephen held the position as Global Co-Head of Banking from 2010 to 2022, based in Hong Kong. In this role, he was responsible for global bank ratings with a primary focus on banks across the Asia-Pacific region.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Stephen worked at J.P. Morgan in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong in various senior credit, research and rating advisory positions. From 1990-1996 he was a bank analyst at S&P Global in London and Paris.

Stephen began his career as a banking regulator at the Bank of England. He is a graduate of the University of Oxford, where he studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

Simon Ainsworth, who is based in London, is an Executive Director responsible for the analytical teams maintaining ratings on Nordic and Baltic banks and on a range of European insurance companies.

Simon previously served as a Group Credit Officer. In that role he carried responsibility for monitoring ratings quality as well as assisting in the development and implementation of rating methodologies and practices applied to rated financial institutions within the EMEA region.

Simon joined Moody’s in March 2014 following sixteen years at the Bank of England.

At the Bank, he worked in a variety of roles primarily in its financial markets and banking operation divisions; as well as working on a variety of financial risk and crisis related issues. This included the resolution of failed banks, as well as responsibility for the risk management framework applied to collateral accepted in the Bank’s sterling market operations. Simon graduated from the University of Durham in 1998, having studied Economics and Politics. He is based in London.

Edoardo Calandro is a member of Moody’s EMEA Banking Team based in London, with lead responsibilities for a portfolio of banks headquartered in the UK.

Since joining Moody’s in 2008, Edoardo worked on banks’ ratings and research; prior to his current focus on UK banks, he held lead responsibilities for Italian and Turkish bank ratings.

Edoardo holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s degree in finance and accounting from Bocconi University in Milan.

Alessandro Roccati joined Moody’s in May 2012 as a Senior Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group, based in London. His portfolio includes large European banks. Prior to joining Moody’s, Alessandro spent fifteen years in equity research as a senior analyst covering European banks at global investment banks: Macquarie, Man Group, Credit Lyonnais and Nikko Securities. He started his career as a credit analyst covering European banks at UniCredito. Alessandro graduated in economics from Bocconi University in Milan. 

Leroy Terrelonge is a Senior Vice President in the Moody's Ratings Cyber Credit Risk Group, where he is responsible for creating and executing the group's research and outreach agenda. He works collaboratively with stakeholders across Moody’s to build and assess cyber datasets and publish timely and relevant research on cyber risk and its impact on financial performance. Leroy has more than 20 years of risk experience working in government, international education, tech startups and corporates. Prior to joining Moody’s, Leroy led a team of analysts at Flashpoint, a threat intelligence company that researches cybercriminal communities, and previously worked as  an analyst at the National Security Agency. e has been cited in both domestic and international media on cyber risk issues and has presented at cybersecurity conferences around the world. Leroy graduated from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy with a Masters in International Business and holds an A.B. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations cum laude from Harvard University. He also served as a Princeton-in-Asia fellow in Almaty, Kazakhstan and serves on the board of this organization. He is an avid touch rugby referee.

Charleyne Biondi is a VP in the Digital Finance and Digital Assets team, leading the policy and regulatory research surrounding emerging technologies.

Before joining Moody’s Digital Economy team, Charleyne worked as a political science researcher at Columbia University in the City of New York and at the Center for Political Research at Sciences Po (CEVIPOF), focusing on the philosophy of technology and the societal implications of digital transformation.

Charleyne holds a dual Ph.D. in political theory from Columbia University and Sciences Po. She is a published author and pursues her research interests as a senior fellow and technology expert at the Montaigne Institute in Paris. Prior to her Ph.D., she worked as an analyst at J.P. Morgan Chase and graduated from a Master of Finance at Sciences Po Paris and Fundaçao Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
