closeDatuk Johan Mahmood Merican is currently serving as the Secretary General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance, since his appointment in March 2023.
Datuk Johan has served in the Government for over 20 years in various roles, including Deputy Secretary General (Policy) and National Budget Director at the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Director General (Human Capital) of the Economic Planning Unit, and Chief Executive Officer of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad. Before joining the government in 2004, he worked for 9 years in corporate finance and accounting roles in the private sector.
Datuk Johan is a qualified Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and graduated with an Economics degree from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom
Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah bin Wan Ali was appointed as President & Group Chief Executive Officer of Affin Bank Berhad (AFFIN BANK) on 2 April 2020. He is an experienced banker, having had solid banking experience in Commercial and Investment banks, both in Malaysia and Indonesia. Datuk Wan Razly has more than 24 years of experience in corporate strategy, finance, investment banking, accounting and audit services.
He started his career in 1995 with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) providing audit services to companies within financial services industry in London, after which he joined Northern Trust, London in 1999, managing its Audit Services Department. Datuk Wan Razly joined Aseambankers Malaysia (now known as Maybank Investment Bank Berhad) as Head, Business Development in 2002.
Thereafter in 2004, Datuk Wan Razly joined CIMB Investment Bank as Director, Corporate Client Solutions where he was responsible for providing optimal financial solutions to corporate clients. Subsequently, he was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of CIMB Niaga in 2009. During his tenure at CIMB Niaga, Datuk Wan Razly helped CIMB Niaga to achieve significant milestones in its Asset Growth, Profit Before Tax, CASA Growth and Asset Quality.
Prior to his appointment as Group Chief Executive Officer of AFFIN BANK, Datuk Wan Razly was a Senior Managing Director, with a leading banking group in Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Accounting from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom (UK) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Julia joined UOB in 2015 with over 12 years of research experience working in the finance industry. In her current role, she is responsible for the UOB Global Economics and Markets Research team’s coverage of Malaysia. Julia was recognised as one of the Best Sell-Side Research Individuals at the Asset Benchmark Research Awards for six consecutive years since 2020.
Prior to joining UOB, Julia covered Malaysia and regional economies at an ASEAN investment bank and contributed to the research team being ranked among the top three in country research on Malaysia at the Asiamoney Brokers Poll for seven consecutive years.
Danny Chan joined CIMB Investment Bank as their Regional Head of TMT & Digital Sector. Within the data centre sector, he has advised and financed more numerous transactions with a combined capacity of over 5GW+ and totalling over USD2bn of financing. Danny joined from Credit Suisse, where he was an award winning Equity Research Analyst for ~9 years. He was instrumental in developing the franchise of the Credit Suisse ASEAN Research Team as he was consistently voted as a Top 3 Research Analyst (No.1 in 2020) in the Institutional Investor poll in various categories at both the country (Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand) and sector levels (telecommunication, semiconductor and gaming). Throughout his 15 years career as a research analyst, he covered various sectors within ASEAN including TMT (telecommunication, media, technology - hardware and software), gaming, oil & gas, construction and conglomerates. Danny graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
Mohd Nur Izuan Bin Hamdan is a dedicated and experienced professional in the energy and utility sector, with more than 14 years of progressive service at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysia’s largest electricity utility. Born on 9th March 1985 and originally from Klang, Selangor, Izuan has built a strong career grounded in technical expertise, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.

He currently serves as the Lead of Customer Engagement (Data Centre – Southern) within TNB’s Retail Division, where he oversees engagement strategies with data centre customers, one of the fastest-growing segments in the power industry. In this role, Izuan plays a pivotal part as One Stop Centre (OSC) in aligning TNB’s services with the complex and high-demand requirements of hyperscale and enterprise data centres, ensuring efficient, reliable, and future-ready power infrastructure.

Before stepping into his current role, Izuan gained valuable experience in various technical and planning roles at TNB. He helped plan and build key parts of the power system, made sure electricity services ran smoothly in different regions, and handled maintenance work to keep the network reliable and efficient. His hands-on work and planning skills have supported the growth and stability of Malaysia’s electricity supply.

Izuan’s academic background includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), reflecting his commitment to integrating technical knowledge with business leadership. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Hons) and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) from the same institution.

Known for his collaborative leadership style and deep understanding of the electrical distribution landscape, Izuan is passionate about supporting Malaysia’s transition toward smarter and customer-centric energy solutions. His work involves cross-functional coordination between divisions in TNB, technical consulting, and supporting regulatory and tariff discussions to foster stronger engagement between TNB and its strategic partners.

Outside of his professional life, Izuan is a devoted family man based in Selangor. He enjoys spending quality time with his loved ones and stays active through his passion for badminton and golf. These sports help him maintain balance, focus, and a healthy lifestyle beyond the workplace.
Farhan is the Team Leader for Structured Finance, Property and Retail. He has 10 years of experience in the financial industry in the areas of credit research, credit modelling and validation as well as investment funds’ risk assessment.
Farhan holds a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences majoring in statistics from International Islamic University Malaysia.
Yazmin is the Rating Portfolio Head for Structured Finance, Property and Retail. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with more than 13 years of experience in investment operations and financial markets.
Prior to joining MARC, she was with the treasury department of Bank Negara Malaysia with experience in market surveillance, policy making and treasury market operations in the Malaysian foreign exchange, fixed income and money markets. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Actuarial Science from City, University of London.
