Antonello Aquino is Managing Director, global co-head for Insurance, Funds and Asset Management, and EMEA Private Credit at Moody’s Ratings. He leads Moody’s analytical team responsible for maintaining credit ratings on insurers, funds, and asset managers in EMEA and North America, as well as private credit entities.

Antonello joined Moody’s in 2008 as a Senior Insurance Analyst, covering major European (re)insurers. Prior to Moody’s, he led the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) rating advisory practice at Credit Suisse in Europe. His earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Analyst in Standard & Poor’s insurance sector, and positions within the FIG M&A teams at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) and ABN AMRO.

He holds an MBA from HEC Paris and is an alumnus of London Business School. He graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Italy. Antonello is fluent in English, Italian, and French.

Mark Zandi is chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, where he directs economic research. Moody’s Analytics, a subsidiary of Moody’s Corp., is a leading provider of economic research, data and analytical tools. Dr. Zandi cofounded Economy.com, which Moody’s purchased in 2005.

Dr. Zandi is on the board of directors of MGIC, the nation’s largest private mortgage insurance company, is the lead director of PolicyMap, a data visualization and analytics company used by policymakers and commercial businesses, and is a director of the Coleridge Initiative, a nonprofit that facilitates the exchange of data across governments. 

He is a trusted adviser to policymakers and an influential source of economic analysis for businesses, journalists and the public. Dr. Zandi frequently testifies before Congress and conducts regular briefings on the economy for corporate boards, trade associations and policymakers at all levels. 

Dr. Zandi is the author of Paying the Price: Ending the Great Recession and Beginning a New American Century, which assesses the monetary and fiscal policy response to the Great Recession. His other book, Financial Shock: A 360º Look at the Subprime Mortgage Implosion, and How to Avoid the Next Financial Crisis, is described by The New York Times as the “clearest guide” to the financial crisis. Dr. Zandi is host of the Inside Economics podcast. 

Dr. Zandi earned his BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his PhD at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sarah Hibler is an Associate Managing Director in the Property and Casualty Group at Moody’s Ratings. She is responsible for managing analysts who cover a broad array of P&C insurers, reinsurers and insurance brokers. Prior to joining Moody’s in 1997, Ms. Hibler was a senior manager in the mergers & acquisitions practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP in New York City. At Deloitte & Touche, she also worked for a number of years in both the New York and London offices providing auditing and consulting services to insurance companies.

Ms. Hibler holds a degree in business administration from the University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Jieyu Fan is Head of AI for John Hancock Insurance and Head of Global Marketing AI at Manulife. She leads enterprise AI and advanced analytics initiatives with a track record of deploying AI solutions to drive measurable business impact. Her work spans sales enablement, client service and retention, underwriting, fraud detection, contact center optimization, and operational document processing, etc.

Steve Gunderson is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Insurance and Asset Management Practice, where he works with senior executives to drive growth, improve performance, and lead complex, enterprise transformations. He brings more than 25 years of experience helping organizations redefine their strategies, modernize operating models, and deliver measurable financial and customer impact.

Steve advises clients across a broad range of strategic and operational priorities, including customer and digital led growth, cost transformation, and end-to-end operating model redesign. He has a proven track record of developing and executing initiatives that accelerate revenue growth, optimize costs, and strengthen customer engagement, while leading high-performing teams and building trusted client relationships.

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Steve was a Managing Director at Accenture, where he led the firm’s U.S. Insurance Strategy business and the South Insurance portfolio. In these role, he was responsible for strategy development and execution, operational performance, and client delivery across a diverse, multi-market footprint.

Steve holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is known for bringing a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving, balanced by a strong emphasis on people, culture, and leadership alignment as essential enablers of successful transformation.

He lives in Winter Haven, Florida, with his wife, Lesley, and their two teenage daughters, Lexie and Brooke. Outside of work, Steve spends much of his free time supporting their competitive waterskiing—most often behind the wheel of the boat and, on occasion, skiing himself.

Mr. Robinson is an Associate Managing Director in the Life Insurance Group at Moody’s Ratings. He is responsible for managing analysts who cover a broad array of life and health insurance companies. Prior to joining Moody’s in 1999, Mr. Robinson worked in the Investment Policy and Strategy Group of the Trust Company of the West. Previously he had been with AXA Financial. Mr. Robinson holds a degree in economics from Duke University and a Masters Degree in Actuarial Science from Georgia State University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a CFA charterholder.

Leena Punjabi has served as the Chief Investment Officer at F&G Annuities & Life since January 2021. In her role, she is responsible for leading the investment team and the strategic direction & management of the investment portfolio. Leena joined F&G in July 2019 as Vice President, Asset Management.

Prior to joining F&G she was a Senior Principal in the New York office of Mercer’s wealth business and led the development of the insurance investments practice in the US.

Leena joined Mercer in 2006 in the New York office and was seconded to Mercer’s London office in 2012. In London, she advised multi-national companies on integrating their pension plans globally to achieve economies of scale and improve oversight.

Throughout her twenty-year tenure, she has provided the firms she worked for and her clients with innovative, research-backed recommendations to improve their investment outcomes. Her expertise spans the full range of the institutional investment cycle, from establishing governance structures and defining investment policy to building stakeholder consensus and implementing investment programs.  

Leena holds an MS in accounting from Baruch College, City University of NY and an MBA in marketing from Mumbai University. Leena is a CFA® charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute and New York Society of Security Analysts.

Stephen Smith, CFA, FSA, Managing Director, joined the firm in 2016. Steve is the CIO of Insurance Investments, responsible for advising, structuring, and managing insurance portfolios across asset classes. In addition to portfolio management, Steve oversees Solutions, which is responsible for strategic and quantitative analysis for institutional clients, especially strategic asset allocation, capital management, and asset-liability management. Steve is closely involved with US insurance regulatory developments, chairing the C-1 Subcommittee at the American Academy of Actuaries. 

Previously, Steve held positions as an insurance strategist at Goldman Sachs and as an actuary at MassMutual. Steve graduated Phi Beta Kappa in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of South Carolina.

As chief investment officer, Mr. Nasser oversees Pacific Life's general account portfolios. He leads the investment teams and advises Pacific Life’s business divisions and subsidiaries on product design, investment opportunities, and hedging strategies. Mr. Nasser joined Pacific Life in 1991. In 2004, he was named chief derivatives officer with responsibility for managing and coordinating the use of derivatives at Pacific Life. He was promoted to senior vice president, investment management in 2008 and then to chief investment officer in 2021. He chairs Pacific Life’s investment committee and serves as a member of the management committee, enterprise risk committee and capital management committee.

Prior to working for Pacific Life, Mr. Nasser was employed by First Boston Corporation as head strategist for Financial Futures and Options, and vice president in charge of strategy for municipal bond sales and trading.
