The water system, regulation and the regulators have, according to the Government, failed customers and the environment. The “once-in-a-generation” Clean Water Bill, announced in the King's Speech, will deliver “transformative change” with a new integrated water regulator to end “fragmented oversight”. Planned changes are intended to put consumers first, reduce pollution and secure future supplies while improving financial resilience and the long-term stability of the sector.
There is much to be done and little time if the sector is to address critical challenges including persistently poor perception and attract necessary investment. Join Moody’s and leading industry figures to discuss implementation of government’s vision and how companies continue to deliver.
