Kevin Maddick joined Moody’s in 2017, and has responsibility for a team of analysts covering project finance and infrastructure in EMEA. He has extensive experience in the financing of infrastructure and energy assets, as debt provider, as equity investor, and as financial advisor. Jon Mechanic Partner, Chairman of Real Estate Department Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson LLP

Jonathan Mechanic is chairman of Fried Frank’s Real Estate Department and a member of the firm’s Governance Committee. Prior to joining Fried Frank as a partner, he was general counsel and a managing director of HRO International, a real estate development organization responsible for developing more than 2.5 million square feet of office space in Manhattan.

Jon routinely counsels developers, owners, investors, REITs, and lenders in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. Pedro Pizarro President and Chief Executive Officer Edison International

Pedro J. Pizarro is president and chief executive officer of Edison International, the parent company of Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the nation’s largest electric utilities. Edison International is also the parent company of Trio, a portfolio of competitive businesses providing integrated sustainability and energy advisory services to large commercial, industrial and institutional organizations in North America and Europe. He is a member of Edison International’s board of directors.

Pizarro served as president of SCE from October 2014 through May 2016, when he was elected president of Edison International. He was elected chief executive officer in October 2016. Previously, Pizarro was president of Edison Mission Energy (EME) and chaired its board of directors from 2011 until the sale of its assets to NRG Energy in April 2014. EME, a subsidiary of Edison International at the time, was an independent power producer that owned, leased, operated and sold energy and capacity from electric power generation facilities and engaged in hedging and energy trading activities in competitive power markets. Pizarro joined Edison International in 1999, moved to SCE in 2001 and progressed through several leadership roles before joining EME.

Before his work at Edison International and SCE, Pizarro was a senior engagement manager with McKinsey & Company in Los Angeles, providing management consulting services to energy, technology, engineering services and banking clients. There, he developed corporate strategy, handled mergers and acquisitions and oversaw operational and organizational engagements.

Pizarro earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and held National Science Foundation and Department of Defense graduate fellowships. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Harvard University.

Pizarro is co-chair of the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council, the principal liaison between the federal government and the electric power industry to prepare for and respond to national-level disasters or threats to critical infrastructure. He is the immediate past chair of the Edison Electric Institute and continues to serve on its board, as well as the boards of Caltech and 3M.

Phan Thi Van Anh Director - Senior Analyst, Ratings & Research Vietnam Investors Service

Ms. Van Anh is a senior analyst at Vietnam Investors Service covering financial institution sector in Vietnam. Van Anh is a member of the Credit Rating Council of Vietnam Investors Service. With over 14 years of experience in credit analysis, research and credit risk management, Van Anh leads on the development of VIS Rating’s credit opinions and thought leadership in the financial institution sector in Vietnam.

Prior to joining Vietnam Investors Service, Van Anh was an Assistant Vice President and Deputy Head of Financial Institutions Credit Analysis at Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV). Diane Swonk began her career with money-center bank First Chicago. She climbed from entry-level to

Director of Research and Chief Economist at Bank One, the merged bank. She spent more than a

decade as Senior Managing Director and Chief Economist at the financial services firm, Mesirow

Financial. Before joining KPMG, Diane had her own economics consulting firm and worked at Grant

Thornton. Diane now heads up the growing economics team at KPMG to serve partners and clients, and

to engage with the media to help showcase the firm’s achievements.

She has served as an advisor to the National Economic Council (NEC) on a nonpartisan basis. She

regularly briefs the regional Federal Reserve banks and the Board of Governors in Washington, DC. She

has provided Congressional testimony on income inequality and how to preserve and bolster the quality

of government economic statistics. She is on the Advisory Board for the Bureau of Economic Analysis, of

the Census Department.

She was honored by her peers as Fellow of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE)

for outstanding contributions to the field. She serves on the NABE statistics committee to advocate for

better information on the economy. Diane serves on the board of the Posse Foundation in Chicago, an

Shirley inició su trayectoria en el sector energético hace 20 años al ingresar a la Comisión Reguladora de Energía, en la Unidad de permisos de gas, petrolíferos y electricidad. Mr. Mzila I. Mthenjane (“Mzila”) is the CEO of the Minerals Council South Africa (“MCSA”), the Advocacy and Impact group whose members represent 90% of South Africa’s mineral output and employ close to 480 000 people . Sejal Mehra is a Software Engineer on the GIGE (Generative Intelligence Group Engineering) team in the Central Product Group at Moody's and based in the New York office. Maciej is the member of leadership team of Corporate & Investment Banking in Poland and participates in shaping and executing strategy of the division in Poland. Dominique Laboureix Chair Single Resolution Board

Dominique is Chair of the Single Resolution Board, the central resolution authority in the Banking Union, which is responsible for preparing for and managing bank crises. Working with the National Resolution Authorities in the Single Resolution Mechanism, its mission is to ensure an orderly resolution of failing banks with minimum impact on the real economy, the financial system, and the public finances of the participating member states and beyond.

Taking up his current mandate in 2023, Dominique is in charge of the management and the work of the board in its executive and plenary sessions. He is member of the FSB Resolution Steering Group (ReSG) and represents the SRB towards international stakeholders. He is accountable to the European Parliament and other bodies, including the Eurogroup.

Dominique was previously Secretary-General of the French Prudential Supervisory Authority (ACPR), in charge of supervisory and resolution matters for banks and insurance undertakings. In that capacity, he was member of the Basel Committee for Banking Supervision (BCBS) and alternate member of the Supervisory Board of the Single Supervisory Mechanism. Cynthia Lo Bessette is head of Fidelity’s Digital Asset Management division where she has oversight and responsibility for setting the strategy and priorities for the division in building digital asset investment capabilities and solutions for Fidelity clients and investors across our platforms, offering investment products and advisory services designed to meet the growing needs of Fidelity’s retail customers and intermediary and institutional clients.

Mark joined Zions Bancorporation in 2014, to lead the wholesale Risk Grade Group. Cécile Mayer Lévi joined Tikehau Capital in 2013 as Head of Private Debt activity. Tim Grieveson is Senior Vice President - Global Cyber Security Risk Advisor at Bitsight, helping organizations transform how they measure and manage their cybersecurity performance and risk based on years of experience as a CSO, CISO, CIO, and Senior Technology Leader.

Recognised as one of the UKs Top 30 Security professionals awarded by the CSO30 Grieveson’s career spans more than 25 years of technology leadership and 18 years of information security experience, which has enabled him to become a respected market influencer in both Cyber and Security risk management.

Prior to joining Bitsight, Grieveson was Chief Security Officer & SVP Information Security (CSO) at AVEVA, a global software development company now part of Schneider Electric where he was responsible for Cyber & Physical Security, Crisis Management, Business Resilience, Security Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Travel & Event Security, Risk Management, Governance & Security Strategy globally.

Deepa Raja Carbon Managing Director and Vice Chairperson Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority [VARA]

Deepa Raja Carbon is the Managing Director and Vice Chairperson of the newly established Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority [VARA], her mandate covers creation, enablement and scale-up of the first-of-its-kind global Virtual Asset ecosystem, as an ‘interoperable’ standard for a future ‘autonomous and decentralised’ economy, assuring strong investor and market risk guard-rails for cross-border transposability.
In tandem, Deepa holds the position of EVP Corporate Office at the Dubai World Trade Centre [DWTC], managing Corporate Strategy and Real Estate Commercial.
Ms. Raja Carbon’s functional responsibilities across the portfolio span [i] economic policy and sector-specific strategy; [ii] investment and commercial value enablement; [iii] regulatory policy and legal governance - economic and market risk assurance; [iv] corporate business/ sector-specific performance management; and [v] brand and reputation management - driving mandated GDP targets.
Additionally, she is the Economy and Policy Advisor to Economic Strategy Sector at the Dubai Government’s Department of Economy and Tourism [DET]. Responsible for enabling Dubai’s economic growth – the sector targets accelerated GDP and Productivity across the future economy, and sustainable contribution from recovering sectors, with core focus on Tourism in line with city aspirations to deliver 25 million tourists by 2025.
As a leadership team member involved in the Dubai Expo 2020 from bid through core asset development phases, she is currently enabling the legacy transformation of this landmark global event for the UAE.
With nearly 20 years experience in driving transformational growth programmes, Deepa started her career as a Strategy Consultant with Booz and Company’s North American management consulting practice spanning multi-sectoral clients across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Her initiation to the business environment was through special assignments for the World Bank and UNDP based out of Kenya and South Africa; and she continues to service social enterprise in her capacity as co-chair of Bunyan Knights for UAE next-generation leadership development.

Jan Frait Deputy Governor Czech National Bank (CNB)

Jan Frait was born on 28 November 1965 in Slavičín. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava in 1988, where he also completed his postgraduate studies in 1995. The same year he received the Young Economist of the Year award from the Czech Economic Society for his paper Portfolio Model of the Balance of Payments (and its Application to the Czech Republic in 1992–1995). Since 1990, he has lectured at the Economic Faculty of VŠB-TU Ostrava, where he qualified as an Associate Professor in Economics in 1998 and was appointed Professor of Economics in 2002. In 2000 the President of the Czech Republic appointed him as a member of the CNB Bank Board. After his mandate expired in 2006, he stayed with the CNB, working first as an adviser to the Board and later as Deputy Executive Director of the Economic Research Department responsible for financial stability analysis. He became Executive Director of the independent Financial Stability Department in 2010 and of the multi-divisional Financial Stability Department in 2018. In these posts, he represented the CNB on the European Central Bank’s Banking Supervision Committee, among other responsibilities. From 1999 to 2007 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Czech Economic Society (CSE) and from December 2001 to January 2004 he held the post of CSE President. He has long worked as editor of Finance a úvěr – The Czech Journal of Economics and Finance. He specialises mainly in macroeconomics, financial stability, monetary theory and the international financial system. He has an extensive publication record on these topics in Czech and international journals.

He became a member of the CNB Bank Board on 1 July 2022. Jan Frait has served as CNB Deputy Governor since 13 February 2023.

Sandy Kaul Senior Vice President, Digital Asset and Industry Advisory Services Franklin Templeton

Sandy Kaul is senior vice president, Franklin Templeton, providing advisory consulting for the firm and thought leadership as part of the Franklin Templeton Institute. She delivers actionable intelligence and insights on the future of the investment and wealth management industry for the firm and its clients.

Ms. Kaul has cultivated deeply informed insights and has an extensive background in driving market-leading research, thought leadership and predictive models centered on the evolution of the investment and wealth management industry. She identifies and champions opportunities to address industry advancements and drive transformation, with a focus on innovative distribution trends and digital disruption. She delivers strategic insights to inform the firms decision-making on partnerships and investments, including within Franklin Templeton's growing digital asset business.

Ms. Kaul has over 25 years of well-rounded industry experience and is a frequent speaker at industry events and a widely published author. She combines her unique blend of sell-side, buy-side and consulting insights to drive her research and thought leadership around what constitutes best practices and where innovation is occurring.

Ms. Kaul joined Franklin Templeton in 2022 from Citi, where she served as Managing Director and Global Head of Business Advisory Services, and launched and built out the Citi's Business Advisory Services practice, a market leading provider of industry thought leadership spanning Citi's Markets and Global Wealth organizations.

Ms. Kaul rejoined Citi in 2009, after originally starting her career there in 1985 as a Futures Research Analyst covering the soft commodities markets with Citi's predecessor firm, Shearson Lehman Brothers. She joined Commodities Corporation/Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 1995 as a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) and Portfolio Manager. After managing money for nearly six years, Ms. Kaul shifted her attention to consulting where she led the strategy practice within the Financial Services division of the renowned dot.com firm, Scient, and then went on to become a Partner at the capital markets niche management consulting firm m.a.partners/Detica.

Ms. Kaul holds a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Colgate University.

Reta Jo Lewis President United States Export Import Bank

On February 9, 2022, the U.S. Senate confirmed Reta Jo Lewis as EXIM’s President and Chair of the Board of Directors. Chair Lewis was sworn in by Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris on February 16, 2022. Ms. Lewis is a senior executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in international affairs, legal, public policy, business and regulatory affairs, and subnational diplomacy.

Ms. Lewis was most recently a Senior Fellow and Director of Congressional Affairs at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. At GMF, Ms. Lewis led and oversaw initiatives, programs, and bipartisan exchanges for members of the U.S. Congress and their European counterparts, focusing on leadership development and subnational diplomacy efforts. Prior to her time at GMF, she served as the first-ever Special Representative for Global Intergovernmental Affairs under Secretary Hillary Clinton at the U.S. Department of State during the Obama-Biden Administration. As Special Representative, Lewis was the chief diplomat in charge of the international efforts to build and support strategic relationships between the federal government, state and local leaders, and their foreign counterparts. In 2013, she was awarded the Secretary’s Distinguished Service Award.

Ms. Lewis was the first Black woman to serve as Vice President and Counselor to the President at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She led the Chamber’s initiatives focused on fostering strategic alliances between small businesses, especially women- and minority-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and executives. She is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and former Member of the Board of the Leadership Council for Women in National Security. Ms. Lewis received a J.D. from Emory University School of Law, an M.S.A.J. from American University, and a B.A. from the University of Georgia. She is a native of Statesboro, Georgia.

Jason Cuomo Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance Moody's Investors Service

Jason Cuomo is a Senior Vice President in the Corporate Finance Group. He is the lead rating analyst for a diversified portfolio of high-yield and investment grade cable, telecommunication, and media credits that hold more than $120 billion in debt. He is a voting member of rating committees, and a rating chair. Mr. Cuomo joined the firm in 2006.

Mr. Cuomo is a thought leader on individual credits, sector outlooks, financial adequacy, emerging credit trends and accounting topics supported by at least 300 publications. His work has influenced capital market flows, investment decisions, global changes in analytic methodologies, credit policy, and US GAAP. He is also active in corporate projects to develop technology solutions that automate the firm’s analytic tools and processes, as Co-head of the Americas initiative to identify and adopt enabling technologies.

Outside Moody’s, Mr. Cuomo is frequently quoted by the media and has been a featured guest at investor and industry events where he has been a panelist and key note speaker. He also actively participates in professional initiatives to advance the quality of financial information for the investment community in collaboration with standards-setters, academics and other influential organizations. He is an active member of the Center For Audit Quality’s SEC regulations committee that meets regularly with the SEC to discuss current and future accounting policy and regulation.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Mr. Cuomo was at Ernst & Young advising private equity firms on M&A deals totaling more than $5 billion. Earlier, Mr. Cuomo worked on the buy-side at a private equity firm performing corporate development and investment activities for a portfolio of leveraged buy-outs and new technology and telecommunication ventures. Mr. Cuomo started his career as a CPA earning his distinction working as an auditor for top-ranked international accounting firms.

Mr. Cuomo holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance from Montclair State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Solomon Quaynor Vice President for Private Sector, Infrastructure and Industrialization African Development Bank (AfDB)

Solomon Quaynor is the Vice President for Private Sector, Infrastructure & Industrialization at the African Development Bank (AfDB). He joined AfDB in May 2020. He has over 25 years’ experience in development finance and investment banking.

From 2018-2020 after Mr. Quaynor left IFC to join the private sector, he provided specialized advisory services in emerging markets as: Senior Advisor to Rothschild Global Advisory for Africa (excluding SA); Senior Advisor to IFU (Danish DFI) for sub-Saharan Africa; Investment Committee member and Senior Advisor to a $350 million African PE Fund; Senior Advisor to an African infrastructure fund; and, served on the boards of InfraCredit Nigeria and Verdant Ventures.

Mr. Quaynor previously worked at IFC in various capacities for several years and there he became an emerging markets specialist investor with experience developing business and investing across financial institutions including banks & NBFIs, Telecoms Media & Technology, Infrastructure including Energy, Manufacturing, Agribusiness & Services. He has experience supporting senior executives and board leadership of corporates in strategy development, key government/regulatory engagement and private sector partnership development, and often served as trusted advisor to the C-Suite with companies across multiple sectors in Africa.

Before IFC, Mr. Quaynor worked in the US in investment banking on Wall Street, providing corporate finance advisory services to large and medium corporates. He worked for Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns, respectively, in New York City as an Associate and Vice President in the generalist and media & communications groups. Before business school, Mr. Quaynor was a college professor at the Atlanta University Center in Math and Engineering.

Mr. Quaynor is a graduate of the J L Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He also holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a BS in Applied Physics from Atlanta University Center.

Atsi Sheth Managing Director, Chief Credit Officer and Global Head of Credit Strategy & Standards Moody's Ratings

Atsi Sheth is Managing Director and Global Head, Credit Strategy and Research.

Moody’s Credit Strategy & Research group includes global teams focused on Macroeconomic Research, Default & Ratings Analytics and Global Emerging Markets as well as regional credit strategy teams each focused on Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and EMEA.

Together these teams establish and articulate Moody’s house views on the trends that drive risk across countries, sectors and asset classes. They undertake in depth data driven analysis and leverage the expertise of ratings and research analysts across Moody’s to generate global, regional and sector insights on macro-economic, political, policy, technology and environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks.

In her capacity leading the group, Atsi also serves as a spokesperson on Moody’s analytic views, engaging with investors, the media and a wide range of public and private sector stakeholders.
