closeAntonello Aquino is Managing Director, global co-head for Insurance, Funds and Asset Management, and EMEA Private Credit at Moody’s Ratings. He leads Moody’s analytical team responsible for maintaining credit ratings on insurers, funds, and asset managers in EMEA and North America, as well as private credit entities.
Antonello joined Moody’s in 2008 as a Senior Insurance Analyst, covering major European (re)insurers. Prior to Moody’s, he led the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) rating advisory practice at Credit Suisse in Europe. His earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Analyst in Standard & Poor’s insurance sector, and positions within the FIG M&A teams at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) and ABN AMRO.
He holds an MBA from HEC Paris and is an alumnus of London Business School. He graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Italy. Antonello is fluent in English, Italian, and French.
Salman Siddiqui is an Associate Managing Director, leading teams responsible for credit ratings of insurance companies across the EMEA region at Moody’s Ratings.
With an extensive background in the insurance industry, Salman previously lead initiatives in Moody’s Insurance Solutions business, focusing on IFRS 17, climate and sustainability, and casualty underwriting.
Before joining Moody’s, Salman held a leadership role at AM Best Europe, overseeing teams responsible for credit ratings on insurance companies in the UK, Switzerland and the Middle East.
Earlier in his career, Salman was part of KPMG UK, where he was involved in audit and advisory engagements for insurance companies.
Salman is a graduate from the University of Essex, with a degree in finance and accounting, and is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from ICAEW.
| Scott Gunter joined AXA in 2020 as Chief Executive Officer at AXA XL, the property and casualty (P&C) and specialty risk division of AXA. He sits on AXA’s Management Committee, reporting to Thomas Buberl, CEO of AXA. Mr. Gunter has over 38 years of insurance industry experience. He joined Chubb in 1986 as an underwriting trainee and worked his way up through the company holding senior positions including Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Chubb Commercial Insurance. In 2017, Mr. Gunter was appointed Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and President, North America Commercial Insurance Division. Mr. Gunter has an Honors Bachelor of Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University (Ontario, Canada) and an executive management certificate from Queen’s University. |
Helena is the lead analyst for various primary insurance and reinsurance groups based in the UK.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2011, she worked as an auditor within the insurance department of Mazars.
Helena holds a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and philosophy from King’s College London, is a chartered accountant and ICAEW Fellow.
Alexandra serves as a lead analyst for financial institutions in EMEA, including asset managers, insurance brokers, insurance companies and funds. She joined Moody's in 2013 after two years of experience in the banking sector.
Alexandra holds a Master of Science in Finance from the Manchester Business School, and BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Macedonia, Greece.
Benjamin is a Senior Vice President in the European Insurance team, based in Paris. He has primary analytical responsibility for a number of insurance groups in Europe, covering or having covered insurers and reinsurers in France, the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the Benelux or in the CIS countries. He is also responsible for the analytical team covering insurers operating in the Middle East region. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2006, Benjamin worked for l’Autorité de Contrôle des Assurances et des Mutuelles (the French insurance supervisory authority) and l’Autorité des Marchés Financiers (the French financial markets supervisory authority). Member of French Actuarial Association. Degrees in Finance and Actuarial Science (ENSAE) and Finance and Economics (Ecole Polytechnique). Fluent in French.
| Christian is a Vice President - Senior Analyst in the EMEA Insurance Team based in Frankfurt, Germany, and is the lead analyst for various primary insurers and reinsurers in the Benelux countries, Germany, Italy, the Nordics and Switzerland. Christian joined Moody’s in 2019. Prior to joining Moody’s, he was head of planning and performance management at Zurich Group Germany where he was in charge of planning, forecasting and reporting for the group’s German life insurance operations. Before that, he was a director and lead analyst at S&P Global, covering insurers in EMEA with a focus on companies operating in German-speaking countries. He started his career at Assekurata, where he specialized in assessing the investment management of rated insurers in Germany. Christian holds a degree in Business Administration from University of Cologne. |
Brandan is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer in the EMEA Insurance Team, with analytical responsibility for a range of (re)insurance ratings across the EMEA region.
Brandan joined Moody’s New York office in 2010, as an analyst responsible for a diverse portfolio of US insurance and reinsurance companies. Prior to joining Moody’s, he was Assured Guaranty Ltd., responsible for accounting policy and transaction advisory services. Brandan started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in South Africa, later transferring to the New York office where he was a manager in the Assurance practice, primarily responsible for the audits of life insurance companies.
Brandan holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Pretoria and a MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and a Certified Public Accountant (NY).
Julian Richardson is the Chief Underwriting Officer for Munich Re Specialty - Global Markets, Green Solutions. Green Solutions is a portfolio of insurance products and services that supports the execution of its customers’ net zero ambitions and building a resilient and sustainable economy. Having joined Munich Re in 2023, he was previously the founder and CEO of Parhelion, an advisory and insurance business, a recognised innovator in climate risk and sustainable finance solutions. Julian has also served at Marsh and GE Insurance Solutions and was an advisor to the UK Government Department for International Trade on insurance and resilience finance.
Holly joined Howden in 2024 to lead the Sustainable Finance Solutions offering within Howden’s Financial Institutions Advisory business. Working with banks and the broader finance community, Holly identifies and structures risk transfer solutions that enable efficient capital deployment towards decarbonisation, transition and adaptation investments.
Prior to Howden, Holly spent a decade as a Debt Capital Markets and Derivatives specialist at NatWest, responsible for a portfolio FTSE100 Infrastructure and project finance sponsors with their financing and risk management needs. Holly also spent 18 months with the Sustainable Markets Initiative as Sustainable Investment Director where she established the Blended Finance Task Force and launched the Global Risk & Resilience Fellowship with RCN and Howden.
