Alicia Yang is the Managing Director of Sales for Asia Pacific region, based in Singapore, responsible for driving business growth and strategic priorities for the region. She’s most passionate about building a diversified sales team that could represent and convey Moody’s story to the world, and help clients find the solutions to decode risk & unlock opportunities. Alicia is also a key advocate and ambassador of Diversity and Inclusion at Moody’s. She serves as the chair for Women In Sales (WIS) for APAC & ME and Singapore Country Lead for the GenERGy (Generation BRG) Business Resources Group since 2022.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Alicia held various positions in sales, project management & delivery, business analysis, product strategy & management across government, corporate and banking industry. With her diverse background and experience in sales brings a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge to her role at Moody’s.
Alicia holds a Bachelor of Information Technology majoring in System management from National University of Malaysia.
David Pan is an Industry Practice Lead for Asia Pacific at Moody’s and is responsible for exploring innovative applications of Moody's data exposed through GenAI. He advises organizations across the region on distinguishing hype from reality, identifying practical use cases, and guiding effective adoption strategies.
Prior to joining Moody’s, David has led GenAI solutioning efforts for large multinational enterprises, co-authored enterprise AI development handbooks and oversaw production deployments of generative AI projects delivering measurable business impact. He has held various leadership positions in Professional Services, Solution Architecture and Business Development working in Financial Crime and Compliance, Fraud and Identity and Data Science consultancy.
David currently holds an Executive MBA at INSEAD.
Choon is the APAC and Middle East Head of subject matter expert team for Compliance Solutions in Moody’s Analytics. He is responsible for driving compliance related initiatives across Asia Pacific and Middle East. Choon is active in the compliance community in the public sectors, banking and corporate space and understands the emerging trends in combating financial crimes through these interactions.
As the main practice lead, Choon was the principal advisor to the US Department of State leading sypnosiums in APAC, raising sanctions awareness with banks and regulators. Cirriculum includes sanctions evasion abd detection techiniques and typology of coprparate vehicles used in such sanctions evasion.
In his role as the main public face of Moody’s in APAC, Choon actively engages with government agencies and banks to support their compliance journey, providing strategic guidance and practical solutions tailored to the region’s unique challenges. His expertise is regularly sought after in industry forums, and he is frequently featured in media interviews and articles, where he shares insights on regulatory developments and financial crime trends. Choon’s high-profile presence in the media further reinforces Moody’s commitment to driving compliance best practices and fostering collaboration between public and private sectors in APAC.
Choon comes with over 19 years of experience in the enterprise software solution space and he has spent the last few years advising major financial institutions across Asia Pacific in AML, fraud and trade compliance. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and he is a current member of the Association of Fraud Examiners. He participates actively in leading financial crime conferences across Asia Pacific.
Shiran Moodley is the Climate Solutions Lead within the Moody’s industry practice across APAC and Middle East.
His area of focus includes topics of climate risk, sustainable finance, data and analytics, financed emissions, and global regulations concerning ESG and Climate.
Shiran has worked with large financial institutions in helping to design and implement ESG and climate risk solutions to support risk identification, quantification, integration and risk management.
Before joining Moody’s, Shiran led Sustainable Finance team for HSBC in Dubai, covering Lending and Trade Finance products for the Middle East and North Africa region. Previous experience also includes leading Sustainable Finance for Absa bank in South Africa.
Shiran holds an honors degree in Actuarial Science from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
