Ted is a regular contributor to global anti-corruption forums and an active supporter of public-private collaboration initiatives. He was a member of the winning team at the FCA’s Global AML and Financial Crime TechSprint addressing beneficial ownership registry reconciliation for the benefit of all market participants. He is also a founding member of the DT4C (Data & Technology for Compliance) industry alliance, a collective advocacy group working to ensure regulated entities have the data they need to combat financial crime.

Ted holds ACAMS certification and a Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention from the International Compliance Association.

Enrico Aresu is Director, Compliance & Third-Party Risk Management Industry Practice Lead for DACH and Northern Europe at Moody’s.

With 20 years of experience in risk and compliance, Enrico started his career in renewable energy. It is within this sector that he started his entrepreneurial journey, successfully co-founding two businesses, both of which are still going strong. 

Transitioning to consulting, he became a trusted advisor to major organizations, guiding them through compliance and AFC technology transformations.

Armed with an MBA and a Master of Engineering, he brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and technical expertise to the forefront of regulatory compliance.

Professor Alexander Trautrims is Associate Director of the Rights Lab at the University of Nottingham and a leading expert on forced labour and modern slavery risks in global supply chains. He serves on the European Commission’s Expert Group supporting the implementation of the EU Forced Labour Regulation (EU FLR) ahead of its entry into force in 2027. He also convenes ISO 37200, the international standard on managing the risk of modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking. Professor Trautrims’ research focuses on identifying and addressing forced labour risks within supply chains. Beyond academia, he has contributed to the development of anti-forced labour legislation and advises public and private sector organisations on risk management, due diligence, and effective interventions.

Stephen Boyer is a technology entrepreneur and executive, currently serving as the Chief Innovation Officer at Bitsight. Stephen ensures an aligned vision between industry challenges and platform offerings, enabling organizations to create trust in the digital economy. He is a frequent speaker for security, risk, and insurance topics. He co-founded BitSight in 2011.

Prior to Bitsight, Stephen was President and Cofounder of Saperix (acquired by Firemon), a company spun out of the MIT Lincoln Laboratory focused on vulnerability and network topology risk analysis. At MIT he led R&D programs solving large-scale national cybersecurity problems.

Dr. Gaurav Ganguly is Head of International Economics at Moody’s Analytics, where he heads economic research for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. His research interests include international economics, geopolitics and climate change. Together with his research group, he focuses on the key risks facing the global economy and the ways in which these might manifest. His economic scenarios, forecasts and analysis are used by financial institutions, governments and companies to actively manage risks. He is a well-known public speaker and frequently comments on economic issues across and appears in the media. Based in London, he has taught at various Universities in the UK and held visiting academic positions, including a research fellowship at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change at Imperial College. Gaurav obtained his Master’s degree and a doctorate in Economics from the University of Oxford.

Hera U. Smith is a Director for Financial Crime Compliance Practice at Moody’s. As an industry practice lead, she focuses on regulatory developments and market trends in sanctions, money laundering and other areas of financial crime, translating them into product capabilities and thought leadership. She has built and headed global sanctions programs for financial institutions in the US and Europe. Additionally, she was the Co-chair of the ACFCS Nordics Chapter and a facilitator of the US State Department’s Sanctions Capacity Building Workshops in countries all over the world.

Before joining Moody’s, Hera worked at Danske Bank, where she developed the sanctions program and managed external commitments to regulators globally. She also headed the Global Sanctions Program at Associated Foreign Exchange, a global payment company now known as Corpay, and before that, East West Bank. In her early career, she worked as a litigation lawyer, and is a licensed attorney in California and the Philippines. She is a Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) a Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS) and a Certified Sanctions Specialist (CSS). She also has an International Diploma in Governance, Risk & Compliance from the International Compliance Association (ICA) and helped draft the sanctions certifications exams for ACSS and ACAMS.

Marisol leads the evolution of Moody’s value proposition across Financial & Professional Services Europe with a focus on financial crime and third party risk.

Marisol also works with current and prospective customers, strategic partners, and product development teams to identify strategic opportunities to enhance the potential of the solutions. Previously, she worked at S&P where she was the Global Head of KYC services and Entity Insights. During her career in Financial Crime, Marisol has built Managed Services and designed AML and third party risk programs for financial institutions in the U.S. and Europe.

She has also benchmarked and advised on more than 60 global AML/CDD policies with a deep focus on data requirements and the use of technology to streamline, automate and keep up to date the data gathering process. Marisol has an extensive legal and compliance background. In her 15 plus years, she has helped organizations develop and implement their compliance, anti-corruption and third-party due diligence programmes. Marisol is a dual qualified lawyer (Spain & UK) and holds two Masters in Law (LLM); International Corporate Governance, Financial Regulation, Economic Law and Comparative Business Law. She also holds an ICA international diploma in anti-money laundering.
