Carlos Prates is the General Manager of Moody's in Brazil. He joined the company in 2021, after almost 30 years leading commercial teams in several financial institutions in the country, such as Santander and Goldman Sachs. In his position, Carlos is a member of the Board of Directors and responsible for the commercial and analytical teams of Moody's Local, as well as the commercial strategy of Moody's Ratings in Brazil. Carlos holds a master’s degree in business management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and an MBA in Finance from IBMEC. He has also held the CFP certification since 2019.

Dr. Samar Maziad is a Vice President and Senior Analyst at Moody’s Sovereign RiskGroup in New York. She is a lead credit risk analyst for a portfolio of Latin American sovereigns and multilateral development banks, including Brazil and others. Prior tojoining Moody’s, Dr. Maziad was a Senior Economist at the International MonetaryFund, where she covered a wide range of macroeconomic and financial stability issues in emerging markets including China and Latin America.

Dr. Maziad is a regular participant at high-profile market briefings, external conferences and media engagements related to Latin America and emerging markets. Ms. Maziad holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of St. Andrews in the UK.

Fernando Honorato Barbosa is currently chief economist and director of Economic Studies at Bradesco. He is also coordinator of the Macroeconomic Advisory Group of Anbima, guest member of the G100 and of the Chief Economists Community of the World Economic Forum. During his 21 years at Bradesco, he has held several positions. He was executive superintendent and chief economist, as well as responsible for the credit and equity research areas of Bradesco Asset Management (2011-2016), deputy chief economist at the Bank's Economics Department (2008-2011), chief economist at Bradesco BBI (2007-2008) and senior economist at Bradesco from 2003 to 2007. He has more than 25 years of experience in economic analysis and has articles published in magazines, newspapers and books in Brazil and abroad. As well as his experience with Bradesco, he also worked for BBVA, BankBoston and Rosenberg & Associados. Fernando Honorato Barbosa has a master's and a degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP), PMD in management by IESE and an AMP from MIT. His academic work focuses on the Brazilian foreign sector and macroeconomic policies since Plano Real. He is a regular participant in events held by the Brazilian Central Bank, National Treasury, IMF and the World Economic Forum.

Zeina Latif is an economic consultant and partner at Gibraltar Consulting. She holds a doctorate degree from the University of Sao Paulo. She had a career in the financial market, having worked at several institutions, such as XP, where he was chief economist. She was Secretary of Economic Development of the State of São Paulo. She is a columnist for O Globo, a professor at Insper and author of the book "Nós do Brasil: nossa herança e nossos escolhas"

Marcos Schmidt is an Associate Managing Director in the Moody’s Corporate Finance Group in São Paulo, Brazil, leading the credit analysis and rating process for a diversified portfolio of media & telecommunication, airlines, and building materials companies in South America.

Prior to joining Moody’s in 2014, Marcos worked at Morgan Stanley as a credit risk analyst. He previously worked for Moody’s from 2007 to 2012, Citibank and Deutsche Bank.

Marcos received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Escola de Engenharia Maua in Brazil. He also holds an MBA from FIA - Fundacao Instituto de Administracao.

Matt Kuchtyakis Senior Vice President –Sustainable Finance for Moody’s Ratings. In this capacity, Matt heads the Sustainable Finance Assessments team in the Americas, leading a team of analysts primarily responsible for the publication of Second Party Opinions (SPOs) –which provide an opinion on the overall sustainability quality of financial instruments or financing frameworks –and Net Zero Assessments (NZAs) –which provide an independent and comparable view on the strength of an entity’s carbon emissions reduction plans compared to a global net zero pathway.

In his role, Matt is also responsible for the origination and publication of thematic research related to the global sustainable finance markets. He also leads outreach and engagement on sustainable finance issues, cultivating relationships with investors, intermediaries, issuers and other market participants. He frequently participates in high-profile outreach including investor briefings, webinars, third-party conferences and media engagements. Matt also represents
Moody’s Ratings on a variety of industry initiatives, such as the International Capital Market Association’s sustainable finance working groups.

Before his current role, Matt was an analyst on the ESG team at Moody’s Ratings, where he advanced the rating agency’s efforts to incorporate ESG considerations systematically and transparently into its credit ratings. He was a key contributor to the development of the cross-sector ESG methodology, launch of the ESG Issuer Profile Scores and Credit Impact Scores and the development of the Carbon Transition Assessments. He was also the lead analyst for the Moody’s Ratings Green Bond Assessments. Previously, Matt was a credit analyst in the US Public Finance Group, where he served as a lead analyst for a diverse portfolio of hospitals, public and private universities and other not-for-profits.

Matt holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science summa cum laude from Rutgers University-New Brunswick and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa

Marianna Waltz is a Managing Director at Moody’s Investors Service and has joined the company in 2011. She currently runs Moody’s ratings teams in Latin America, including the Corporate Finance, Infrastructure, Banking and Sub-Sovereign groups across more than 15 countries. She is responsible for the development of MIS ratings and research opinions for the region’s fundamental ratings groups, and the delivery of services to issuers and market participants. Prior to assuming this role in January 2021, Marianna was the Managing Director responsible for Moody’s Corporate Finance team in Latin America. Marianna is also a member of the Board of Directors of Moody’s Local, an affiliate of Moody’s in Peru, Panamá, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. Prior to joining Moody’s, Marianna developed a career as an equity sell side analyst covering mostly the Brazilian Consumer and Protein sectors. From 2008 to 2011, she was the head of sell-side equity research in the investment arm of Banco do Brasil in Sao Paulo. Marianna is a CFA charter holder and holds three master’s degrees, including an MBA in Finance from IBMEC Business School and an MBA in Marketing from Fundação Getúlio Vargas - FGV.

Marcos holds a bachelor degree in Economics, with a graduate Masters in Management (CEAG) from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, a MSc. in Controllership from Mackenzie and also an Executive Extension Course from INSEAD. He has 15 years of professional experience at Klabin and gathers expertise in both administrative and financial roles, where he managed the Controllership, Projects, Financial Planning & Analysis and M&A Departments.

Graduated in Business Administration from PUC-RJ and post-graduated in Management from IBMEC-RJ, he participated in executive programs in Switzerland and England.

He worked, among other companies, in the Brazilian operation of Ternium and Vale. He is a former member of the Tax Affairs Council of Firjan and of the Audit Committee of Usiminas. He was director of the Brazilian Foreign Trade Association (AEB).

Naomi is a Credit Analyst at Moody's Local Brazil, responsible for the portfolio of companies in the telecommunications, technology, services, and other sectors. Prior to joining Moody's Local Brazil in 2022, she gained experience in financial institutions, where she held analytical positions in finance and credit risk management. Naomi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Federal University of São Carlos.

Rodrigo Abreu is the Digital Infrastructure Operating Partner at Patria Investments in Brazil, overseeing the investments and new theses in the Data Center and Telecommunications segments. Previously to Patria, Rodrigo held the positions of CEO/President at Oi Telecom SA, Quod, TIM Brasil, Cisco Brasil, Cisco CANSAC, Nortel Brasil, Promon Tecnologia and Promon IP. He started his career at the Promon Group, and also held an associate position at the Silicon Valley office of McKinsey and Co. Rodrigo holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Campinas, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is also currently Chairman at Winity Telecom (a Patria invested company) and at EMS/Grupo NC (largest private pharma company in Brazil).

Daniel Girola serves on Moody’s Ratings as Vice President for the Financial Institutions Group in Latin America. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, he is a Senior Analyst for banks and non-banks in the region, leading internal rating committee discussions and producing sectorial research and insights for the investor community.

Before joining Moody’s in 2022, Daniel was a senior credit analyst at Standard Chartered Bank for seven years, managing the credit process for Latin American banks, sovereigns, and hedge/pension funds. Prior to Standard Chartered, Daniel worked at Citibank in Brazil, where he gained extensive experience in the Brazilian banking industry.

Daniel holds an MBA from Insper – Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa and a BSc in Economics from the University of São Paulo.

André Ventura is a Financial Officer at PagBank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo and a postgraduate degree in Project and Risk Management. He has extensive experience in capital markets, including local and offshore funding alternatives, capital structure, hedging, and investments.

André has served as Head of Finance for several large publicly listed companies in the banking and financial markets. He has worked at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, the consumer credit and retail arm of BNP Paribas Group; Cogna Educação (BMVF: COGN3), Brazil’s largest educational group, which owns the brands Kroton, Anhanguera Educacional, and Somos Educação; CETIP/B3 (BMVF: B3SA3), responsible for registering the Brazilian fixed income and derivatives market, owned by B3; and Afya Educational (NASDAQ: AFYA), a private equity company in the education sector created by Bozano Investimentos (Crescera Capital).

André also was the Treasury Director for the entire Mercado Livre Group (NASDAQ:MELI), including Mercado Pago and the financial institution, Mercado Crédito.

Diego Ventura Salgado is Stone’s Treasury Officer and executive of companies in the group since May 2021. Mr. Salgado is a former Executive Director in the Latam Debt Capital Markets team at JP Morgan, where he worked for nine years, having worked before in correlated areas at Santander and Monsanto. During his career he has specialized in fixed income and capital structure matters, being responsible for the origination, structuring and selling of multiple transactions varying from plain vanilla investment grade to high yield debt offerings, syndicated loans, securitizations, acquisition financing, hybrid instruments, debt re-structuring and ratings processes for various companies in different sectors both in Brazil and globally. Diego holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Economics from Ibmec and Insper, respectively.

Ceres joined Moody’s in 2006 and is the Associate Managing Director - Latin American Banking.

Ceres came from Standard Bank - Brazil, where she was the RegionalCredit Officer for Latin American Financial Institutions. Ceres, a long-time Brazilian bank industry specialist, was also a credit analyst withBank of America’s Trading Group for over six years, and prior to that she worked for ABN AMRO (Brazil) and BankBoston (Brazil) as a credit analyst for the middle market sector. She holds a B.A. degree from Pontificia Universidade Católica - São Paulo and an MBA in Banking from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Brazil.
